IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
• Before the first use read carefully all the instructions provided
with the appliance and save them for future reference.
• Before you connect the appliance to the supply mains, check
that the voltage indicated on the rating plate of the appliance
corresponds to that of your home power supply.
• Only connect the unit to an AC power supply. The appliance
must only be connected to an outlet with earth connection.
• This appliance is not intended for use by children or persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they are under supervision
by a person that is aware well of the instructions concerning
the use of the appliance, responsible for their safety.
• Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by
or near children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities.
• Do not allow children to use the appliance without supervision.
• Make sure that children do not play with the appliance.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less
than 8 years.
CAUTION: Hot surface
• Never leave the unit unattended during use.
• Never touch the electric cable and plug with wet hands.
• Never immerse the unit, electric cable or plug into water or
other liquids.

• Do not use the unit outdoors.
• Check the unit, electric cable and plug regularly for visible
damage. Do not use the unit under any circumstances if you
have noted any damage.
• Have damage repaired by a qualified SINGER specialist only.
Never attempt to repair any damages by yourself.
• Only use the unit on a heat-resistance surface. Never position
the unit close to hot surfaces or open flames.
• Always pull out the plug before removing the temperature reg-
ulator!
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the man-
ufacturer, its SINGER service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
• Use the appliance and its accessories only for the intended
use.
• Always unplug the appliance when not in use and before any
cleaning or maintenance procedure.
• Never immerse the appliance, the thermostat, the power cord
or the plug into water or any other liquid. The thermostat must
not come to contact with water.
• Do not leave the power cord hanging over the edge of the ta-
ble or counter or where it can be reached by children or touch-
ing hot surfaces.
• The power cord should never be near or touch the hot parts
of the appliance; it should not be near any source of heat or
come to contact with sharp corners.
• Never leave the power cord wrapped during use. Unwind it
completely.
• The appliance gets hot during use. Do not touch the hot parts
of the appliance. Use the heat-resistant handles. Special at-
tention should be paid during use.

• To prevent the risk of fire, do not use the appliance close to
flammable or explosive fuels.
• Do not connect and do not use the appliance’s thermostat with
another appliance.
• Do not connect the power cord to the power outlet unless you
assemble it the thermostat on the appliance.
• Always turn the adjustable thermostat to “OFF”, before plug-
ging in or unplugging the appliance to the supply mains.
• When roasting for extended time, make sure the fat from the
food does not overflow from the oil tray.
• Special attention should be paid when using or moving the ap-
pliance containing hot oil, fat or other hot liquid.
• To ensure safe transportation of the glass lid, the lid handle is
packed separately. Do not discard. Please fit the handle to the
lid using a cross-head screwdriver. Do not overtighten.
• Always place and store the appliance out of the reach of chil-
dren.
• Use the appliance only for grilling and according to the instruc-
tions of use.
• This appliance is for domestic use and indoors only.
SERVICE & REPAIR
1. For service or repair under warranty, please contact the authorized service
company that is mentioned on the guarantee card that accompanies the
product.
2. Do not operate any product with a damaged cord or plug. If the supply cord
is damaged, return the appliance to a SINGER service center for examina-
tion repair or adjustment. Do not attempt to dismantle any part of the appli-
ance. This should only be done at an authorized SINGER service center.

3. The partial or total non-respect of the safety instructions in the present
instruction manual will automatically release Singer of any type of respon-
sibility in case of malfunction of the machine or injuries to persons or
animals.
4. In case of manipulation, repairing or any modification of the machine
made by unqualified persons or in case of improper use, the guarantee
will be automatically cancelled.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
• Unpack the appliance carefully and remove all packing materials.
• Prior to using this appliance for the first time, wash the grill plate, base,
lid and drip tray in accordance with the instructions given under the
“Care and Cleaning” section. Dry thoroughly and then lightly brush the
surface of the grill plate with cooking oil.
USE
CAUTION: Grill plate should not be used without the base
Place the drip tray into the base, then place the grill plate onto the drip tray.
Never use the grill plate directly on the work surface, always use with the drip
tray and base.
Place the appliance on a flat, dry, stable and heat-resistant surface.
Select a location where the unit is to be used, leaving enough space between
back of unit and wall to allow heat to flow without damage to cabinets and
walls.
Insert the power supply connector into the grill plate, then connect it to the
power supply and switch it on.
Turn the temperature regulator clockwise and the red indicator will turn on.
When the appliance reaches the setting temperature, the light will turn off and
you can start cooking (during cooking the light will turn on and off indicating
that the selected temperature is being maintained).
Turn the temperature regulator to the desired setting: the higher the number,
the hotter the temperature.
Place the food directly on the grill plate. You will get a better result if the food

is less than 2.5 cm thick. During baking, turn the food on at regular intervals.
When the baking process has finished, turn the adjustable thermostat to “OFF”.
Unplug the appliance immediately after use. Let the appliance be cool down
completely before cleaning or removing some of it.
CAUTION: The baking surface is very hot. You should be espe-
cially careful during operation.
Using the glass lid:
Note:
The glass lid is liable to get hot during use.
How to close glass lid:
Please be sure lift up glass lid to up baffle as per belowing instruction in order
to close glass lid smooth. Ιf you press downward glass lid forcefully, the lid will
be damaged .
How to open glass lid:
Τhere is a lock under the handle to tighten with the lower housing of the device
when you close the glass lid.
Use your hand to tighten and loosen the lock when opening the glass lid. Then
slide the glass cover into the slot for an upright position.
Gooking Tips
• Use wooden or heat-resistant plastic kitchen tools to protect the surface
from scratches.
• Never use knife on the baking surface. Do not use the same cutlery for
raw and cooked foods.
• Allow the frozen foods to defrost before baking.
• For best results, the food should have a maximum thickness of up to
2.5cm.
• Better results are achieved when cooking foods of similar thickness. Thin-
ner foods are preferable to the thickest ones, as the thickest may take

longer to cook inside, while they can be overcooked outside.
• During cooking the food should be turned frequently and moved the po-
sition of the food on the grill to ensure even cooking.
Cooking guide
• The following temperature settings and times are a guide only and will
vary according to individual preferences and the size/thickness of the
food being cooked.
• With use you will become familiar with the time and setting needed to
cook the food to your own requirements.
• Some thicker items of food and particularly pork or chicken, which should
be thoroughly cooked, may benefit from being pre-cooked in an oven or
microwave before being placed on the grill.
• The Vita Grill has two cooking areas. The flat plate is most suitable for
cooking fried eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms whereas the grills are suit-
able for cooking meat such as beef burgers, chops, steaks and fishes.

CARE AND CLEANING
• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before
any cleaning procedure.
• Remove the adjustable thermostat from the appliance.
• Do not immerse the thermostat, the power cord or the plug into water or
any other liquid.
• Do not place the thermostat in the dishwasher.
• Wash the grill plate, base, glass lid and drip tray in hot soapy water and
then dry thoroughly.
• Soak the drip tray before cleaning. Then wash it with hot soapy water.
These parts can also be placed in a dishwasher.
• CAUTION: The temperature regulator receptacle should not get
wet.
• NOTE: After cleaning ensure that the temperature sensor is thor-
oughly dried before re-insert it into the appliance.
• Never use chemicals and abrasive detergents for cleaning or harsh
scouring pads, as they may damage the ceramic plate.
• Do not rub the baking plate with a hard sponge as this will cause dam-
age to the plate.
• Cleaning the appliance after every use.
• Never wrap the cable around the appliance.
• Do not store the appliance while it is still hot or plugged into the mains.
• Store the clean appliance in a clean, dry place.
