Install two 1.5V AA batteries as shown.
Replace battery door top-end first.
Note:
• Do not mix old and new batteries
• Do not mix alkaline, standard or
rechargeable batteries
Release the latch by pushing upwards.
Battery door will hinge open.

Press and hold power button for 3 seconds to power
ON/OFF headset. Voice Assist will announce “Power
ON” or “Power OFF.”
Adjust ambient volume by selecting one of the four
levels by pressing the volume button (SPEAKER).
To mute the ambient volume, press and hold the
volume button. While muted, press the volume
button once to return to your last volume setting.
Performance is best when volume is set to lowest
level needed for conversation.
Power and Volume:
Fully extend sliders and place cups over ears so
that microphones are facing forward. Then, tighten
headband using sliders.

Headset will give a “Battery Low” warning every
20 minutes when battery voltage is low. Additional
warnings will occur as hearing protector powers
down. Replace batteries at this time.
After a period of inactivity for 4 hours, a 10-second
countdown will begin before hearing protector
automatically powers down. To reset Auto Shut-Off,
simply adjust volume. After Auto Shut-Off, press
and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn
the unit on.

Pair Device Function: Once Your Device is Paired:

PAIRING ON
BLUETOOTH®
CONNECTED
Double-press the Bluetooth® button to enter
pairing mode. You will hear “Bluetooth Pairing”.
Make sure your Bluetooth® enabled device is
scanning/searching for devices. Check your device
to make sure it has discovered “3M Pro-Protect”
or “3M Pro-Comms” as appropriate. Select to
connect to the hearing protector.
Once connected successfully, you will hear
“Bluetooth Connected”.
Once your device has been connected successfully
to the “3M Pro-Protect” or “3M Pro-Comms” as
appropriate, it will automatically link the next time
you turn on the hearing protector. A “Bluetooth
Connected” voice message will play once the
connection is successfully established.

To answer or disconnect a call, press the
Bluetooth® button once.
To reject a call and return to Bluetooth® from
a “3M Pro-Protect” or “3M Pro-Comms,” press and
hold the Bluetooth® button.
After disconnecting from the call you will hear
“Call terminated”.
The typical range between a Bluetooth®enabled
device and the 3M Pro Electronic Hearing Protectors
is approximately 25 feet. This distance may vary
depending on the device. As the distance between
the Bluetooth®enabled device and the hearing
protector increases, the risk of the signal dropping
also increases.
For best results, keep your Bluetooth®enabled
device on your body or within an arm’s length of
the 3M Pro Electronic Hearing Protectors while
using Bluetooth®Mode.
