Location for Protective Earth Line.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this equipment has a grounding type plug that has a
third (grounding) pin. This plug will only fit into a grounding type power outlet. If the plug
does not fit into the outlet, contact qualified personnel to install the proper outlet. Do not
alter the plug in any way.
CAUTION! - For outlet installation only! Never connect to an extension cord or other
power source. Improper installation could result in electrical shock or short.
WARNING! - UV Lamp operation. Do not operate unless the unit is completely and
correctly assembled. Failure to comply may result in serious eye damage.

FEATURES
SPECIFICATIONS
The ActivePure® Cell (Advanced Oxidation System) is designed to reduce odors,
air pollutants, and other contaminants with the added benet of producing
safe, low levels of ozone as a by-product of the Advanced Oxidation Process.
This low level ozone further cleanses the air as it travels through the unit.

PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION
1. Remove unit from shipping carton.
2. Remove all protective materials.
3. Check for shipping damage and loose or broken parts.
4. Read Owner's Manual thoroughly prior to installation.
5. Determine placement location for the unit, plug the unit into a 120 volt outlet
and adjust controls according to the application.

RECOMMENDED POSITIONING
Change Filter ....Light illuminates when particulate
cartridges need changed.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Light illuminates when Mode Select is off
to indicate the unit has power.
Turbo ............Light illuminates when unit is in Turbo
Position, Maximum Cleaning Potential.
High .............Light illuminates when unit is in the High
Position, ActivePure® Activated High.
Medium .........Light illuminates when unit is in the
Medium Position, ActivePure® Activated.
System On .......Light illuminates when system is On,
Cartridges in use.
Mode Select .....Control knob which functions by turning
clockwise to select power mode.
• The SelectPURE unit should be installed within 7 feet of a standard 120 volt
outlet to accommodate the power cord.
• The SelectPURE unit should be secured into wall studs if possible. Mounting
holes are on 16 inch centers to accommodate installation to be secured into wall
studs (See mounting holes indicated in illustration on page 4.).
• Fasteners are recommended to be at least 2 1/2 inches in length, minimum size,
#10 screws. Use appropriate fasteners when mounting.

1. After removing grills, move unit into
final position. Install 2 1/2" fasteners into
mounting holes provided on left side.

2. Install 2 1/2" fasteners in mounting
holes on right side.

3. Once unit is securely in place,
reinstall grills reversing steps 1 & 2,

4. Plug in unit to
grounded 120V
outlet only.

OPENING THE GRILLS

1. Remove the ten (10) screws in the
SelectPURE grills from both ends.

2. (a) Lift cover
(b) Slide toward back of unit to remove.
(c) Repeat for other grill.
CAUTION: Unplug the unit before performing any maintenance procedures.

2. Turn locking tabs out of the way.

3. Remove support frame from front of
the filter chassis (Order and contents
will vary depending on your machine's
purpose.).

4. Remove filter from chassis.

5. Remove cartridge from chassis.

6. Discard and replace old cartridges
and filters. Reverse steps to install
new cartridges and filters.

Cell to the Mounting Bracket. Lift and
remove large cell from mounting
bracket, by grasping cell and pulling
outward.

same manner.
