Rhapsody™ Color Management Controllers
Instruction Manual
the first show in the list. Sequential presses access consecutive shows. When
the last show is reached the process repeats from the beginning.
Shows can either run once and stop or repeat indefinitely. If a show is
designed to only run once, and there are other shows in that slot, it will not play
the next show unless the user presses the button. Shows that repeat will do so
until the user starts another show.
Example: The user wants to toggle between a color sequence, and all luminaires
“off.” After the sequence is designed, both the sequence and the “off” command
are uploaded to one slot on the Master device. When the button corresponding to
the programmed slot is pressed, the color sequence plays. Pressing the same
button again plays the second show, which in this case simply turns all the
luminaires off.
When wirelessly connecting to a PC via Bluetooth all buttons on the
Rhapsody Color Management Master Controller blink twice and then remain lit.
While connected to the Master device, the buttons on the device are deactivated.
When the connection is terminated, the Master device automatically returns to
normal operation.
Satellite Control Units
Rhapsody Color Management Satellite Controllers (both one and six-
button varieties) do not store any information. They must be used with a Master
device as shown in the Communication Configuration section. Again, the six
button version allows the user to access all six slots, while the one button version
must be configured to access an individual slot.
One way to utilize this feature is to assign a particular slot to a group of
luminaires. The Rhapsody Color Management Software allows users to organize
luminaires into groups. When luminaires are added to a group each luminaire
responds to a command to that group in unison and ignores commands to other
groups. If a user has luminaires on one network spread over two rooms, a one
button satellite device in each room can be configured to access a different slot,
say slot 1 and slot 2.
Example: A one button satellite is placed in each of two rooms. The luminaires in
each room are assigned to a different group, e.g. group 1 and group 2. A show is
created for group 1 and another for group 2. One show (for group 1) is loaded
into slot 1 and the other show (for group 2) loaded into slot 2. By assigning the
satellite devices to the correct slots, each controls only the luminaires in that
room. Another button on the master could be configured to turn all luminaires on
the network on or off for convenience.
