USE THE CORRECT AMPERE RATING
WHEN REPLACING FUSES
Replace fuses only with fuses of the same
ampere rating. Failure to do so may result
in a fire and/or damage to the vehicle.
HALT USE IMMEDIATELY IF A PROB-
LEM APPEARS
When problems appear, stop using the
system immediately and contact the
dealer from whom you purchased the
equipment. Some problems which may
warrant immediate attention include a lack
of sound, noxious odors or smoke being
emitted from the unit, or foreign objects
dropped inside the unit.
DO NOT OPERATE THE REMOTE
CONTROL WHILE DRIVING
Do not change settings while driving. If
operation requiring a prolonged view of
the display is required, stop the vehicle in
a safe location before attempting opera-
tion.
The exclamation point within an equilateral
triangle and "WARNING" are intended to alert
the user to the presence of important operating
instructions.
Failure to heed the instructions will result in
severe injury or death.

Rangez les petites pièces (piles, vis,
etc.) dans des endroits inaccessibles aux
enfants. En cas d'ingestion, consultez
immédiatement un médecin.
UTILISEZ DES FUSIBLES DE
L'AMPERAGE APPROPRIE
Afin d'éviter tout risque d'incendie et/ou
de dommage, remplacez les fusibles par
des fusibles de même ampérage.
ARRETEZ IMMEDIATEMENT L'APPA-
REIL EN CAS DE PROBLEME
Quand un problème apparaît, absence
de son, odeurs nocives ou fumée
provenant de l'appareil, pénétration
d'objets dans l'appareil, arrêtez immédia-
tement l'appareil et contactez votre
revendeur.
NE PAS UTILISER LA TELECOMMANDE

UTILICE EL AMPERAJE CORRECTO
CUANDO CAMBIE FUSIBLES
Reemplace los fusibles solamente por
otros del mismo amperaje. De no hacerlo
así, podría ocasionar un incendio y/o
daños al vehículo.
PARE EL FUNCIONAMIENTO INME-
DIATAMENTE SI OCURRIESE ALGUN
PROBLEMA
Cuando ocurra algún problema, cese el uso
del sistema inmediatamente y póngase en
contacto con el distribuidor al que haya
comprado el aparato. Entre algunos de los
problemas que podrían justificar una
atención inmediata cabe citar la falta de
sonido, olores nocivos o humo que salga
de la unidad, u objetos extraños dejados
caer dentro de la unidad.

REMOTO CUANDO CONDUZCA
No cambie los ajustes mientras conduzca.
Si va a realizar una operación que le vaya a
llevar tiempo mirando el visualizador, pare
el vehículo en un lugar seguro antes de
ponerse a realizar la operación.

Keep the volume at a level where you can
still hear outside noises while driving.
Driving while unable to hear outside
sounds could cause an accident.
DO NOT USE THIS EQUIPMENT
OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE
Do not use this equipment for purposes
other than those listed for a vehicle.
Failure to do so may result in an electric
shock or an injury.
DO NOT REPLACE THE BATTERY WITH
ONE NOT SPECIFIED. INSERT WITH
THE CORRECT BATTERY POLARITY
Do not replace with other than specified
battery. When inserting the battery, be
sure to observe proper polarity (+ and –)
as instructed. Battery rupture or chemical
leakage can cause an injury or equipment
malfunction.

quer des dommages corporels et

Precautions
Thermal Protection Circuit
Be sure the temperature inside the vehicle is
between +60°C (+140°F) and –10°C (+14°F)
before attempting to play a disc. If the
temperature is over +60°C (+140°F), the
protection circuit functions to stop the CD
player, and "- - - H" is displayed.
Damaged Disc
Do not attempt to play cracked, warped, or
damaged discs. Playing a bad disc could
severely damage the playback mechanism.
Irregular Shaped Discs
Make sure the discs you use in this unit do not
have any irregularities. The outer and inner
edges should be round and smooth. Use of
irregularly shaped discs may cause damage to
the mechanism.
Maintenance
If you have problems, do not attempt to repair
the unit yourself. Return it to your Alpine dealer
or the nearest Alpine Service Station for
servicing.

Circuito termoprotector
Cerciórese de que la temperatura del interior
del vehículo esté comprendida entre +60°C y
–10°C antes de intentar reproducir un disco. Si
la temperatura fuese superior a +60°C, se
activaría el circuito termoprotector a fin de
detener el reproductor de discos compactos, y
se visualizaría "- - - H".
Disco dañado
No intente reproducir discos rayados,
alabeados, o dañados. La reproducción de un
disco en malas condiciones podría dañar
gravemente el mecanismo de reproducción.
Discos de forma irregular
Cerciórese de utilizar siempre sólo discos de
forma regular en esta unidad. Los bordes
exterior e interior deben ser redondos y lisos. El
uso de discos de forma irregular podría causar
daños al mecanismo.
Mantenimiento
Si tiene algún problema, no intente reparar la
unidad usted mismo. Devuélvala a su provee-
dor o al centro de servicio técnico Alpine más
cercano para que se la reparen.

que
Vérifier que la température à l’intérieur du
véhicule est comprise entre +60°C (+140°F)
et –10°C (+14°F) avant de reproduire un
disque. Si la température dépasse +60°C
(+140°F), le circuit de protection se déclenche
pour arrêter le lecteur CD et l’indication
"- - - H" est affichée.
Disque endommagé
Ne pas reproduire un disque craqué, déformé
ou endommagé sous peine d'endommager
sévèrement le mécanisme de lecture.
Disques à forme irrégulière
Veillez à n'utiliser que des disques sans
aucune irrégularité avec cet appareil. Les
bords extérieur et intérieur doivent être ronds
et unis. L'utilisation de disques à forme
irrégulière pourrait endommager le méca-
nisme.
Entretien
En cas de problème, n’essayez pas de
réparer la panne vous-même. Rapportez
l’appareil à votre revendeur Alpine, ou à
défaut, apportez-le dans un centre de
réparation AIpine.

Initial System Setup
Immediately after installing or applying power to
the unit, it should be initialized. Using a sharp
pencil or other pointed object, press the Reset
button.
Turning Power On and Off
Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
Note: The Remote Display Unit can be turned
on by pressing any button.
Press the POWER button again to turn off the
unit.
Notes:
• When turning the unit On or Off with the
POWER button, be sure to lower the volume
level of the factory-installed radio. This will
prevent any electrical pop noises from
entering the system.
• Once you are sure all connections are
proper, you may turn the unit on.
