• DONOTtouchthedressguard(frontwiregrill),asitgetsvery
hot,whileinuseorafterithasbeenswitchedoffandiscooling.
Thedressguarddoesnotgiveprotection.Nopartofthedress
guardshouldberemovedorchanged.
• DONOTuseaheateryoususpectisfaulty.
• Forsafetyreasons,onlyaqualiedtechnicianmayexecute
maintenanceandrepairs.Theguaranteefortheheaterwillbe
renderedvoidiftheheaterisservicedorrepairedbyanyone
otherthananAlvaappointedtechnician.
• Theheatershouldbeinspectedonceayearbyaqualiedtech-
nician,tomakesuretheunitissafeandfaultfree.
• Theoperatorisresponsibleforthesafetyofallthirdparties
whiletheheaterisinuse.
• Disposeofallpolythenepackagingcarefullyandkeepoutof
thehandsofyoungchildren.
• Greatcarehasbeentakenduringproductiontoremovesharp
edges,butyoushouldhandleallcomponentswithcareto
avoidpossibleinjury.
• Alwayspositiontheheateronarm,level,andheatproof
surface,awayfromwoodenfences,overhangingtree
branches,andotherinammablematerials

• Duringoperation,thisproductcanbeasourceofignition.Never
usetheheaterinspacesthatcontainormaycontainvolatileor
airbornecombustibles,orproductssuchasgasoline,solvents,
paintthinner,dustparticles,orunknownchemicals.
• Only220gbutanegascartridgecanbeusedfortheheater.
• Keepoutofreachofchildrenandpets.
• Whenyousmellgasorhearahissingsound,turnthecontrol
knobtothe“OFF”positionandreleasethelever.DONOTuse
theheaterandcontact086100ALVA(2582)iftheproblem
cannotbesolved.
• Keepareextinguisherhandy.
• Asanadditionalsafetymeasure,wesuggestthatthegas
cartridgeberemovedwhentheheaterisnotinuse.

LEAK TEST
Theleaktestmustbecarriedoutinawell-ventilatedarea,free
fromanyamesorothersourcesofignition.
• Withthecartridgeinstalled
inthestove.Opentheignitor
knob.
• Brushtheconnections(stove
tocartridge)withasolutionof
equalpartssoapandwater
(makesureit’sfoamy).
• Astreamofbubblesforming
indicatesagasleak.(See
Fig.A)
• Ifbubblesappear,turntheigni-
tionknobOFF,‘O’,(clockwise)
andreleasethecartridgelock
levertotheupwardposition
andremoveandisolatethe
gascartridge.
• Re-installthegascartridge,
makingsurethecartridgeslot
ispointingupwardandretry
theleaktest..
• Ifyouareunsureorifyou
cannotinstallthecartridge
withoutaleakoccuringplace
thebutanecartridgeoutsidein
acool,well-ventilatedareaand
contactAlvaon086 100 ALVA
(2582).
• Aleakbetweenthestoveand
canistercanleadtoare,
whichisverydangerousand
canresultinextensiveinjuryor
evendeath.

Failuretofollowtheprecautionsandinstructionsmayresultin
death,seriousinjuryandpropertyloss.
Onlypersonswhounderstandandfollowtheinstructionsshould
usethegasheater.

theheateronarmandat
surface.Makesurethecontrol
knobisatthe“OFF”position
andthelevelknobisatthe
“RELEASE”position.(Fig.B)

MAINTENANCE
• Alwaysmakesuretheheater
isOFFandcool,withthe
cartridgeremoved,before
conductinganymaintenance.
• Yourheatershouldbechecked
onceayearbyaqualied
technician.
• Iffaultsaresuspectedor
detected,stopusingtheheater
andcontactALVA.
• Cleantheexteriorandstor-
ageareaofyourheaterwhen
requiredtoremovedustand
preventlintbuildup.
• DONOTuseabrasiveproducts
tocleantheheater;thesemay
damagethepaintwork.
• Whileinoperationtheame
shouldbesteady.Ifitickers
orisyellowtheheaterneedsto
