xPDISPLAY
Keypad/Display Module
This manual describes the installation, care and use of the xPDISPLAY Module.
The Continuum xPDISPLAY Module provides a convenient, programmable interface to your
Continuum facility automation system. Authorized operators or tenants in your facility can
easily arm or disarm a security zone, quickly view HVAC or security information and/or
adjust personal comfort levels with little or no training.
The xPDISPLAY Module includes a four-line, 16-character backlit LCD display and a 21-
button ergonomically-designed keypad. The keys can be custom programmed using
Andover’s powerful programming language, Plain English®, to perform a wide variety of
functions, including switching a specific zone to occupied mode, signaling an alarm
condition, adjusting the amount of override time, and arming or disarming intruder alarm
points, utilizing password security.
Cost-effective and compact, the xPDISPLAY may be mounted directly on dry wall, or any
suitable electrical outlet box, and is intended for indoor use only.

Mechanical Installation (Remote Version)
The module may be mounted directly on dry wall, or on any suitable electrical outlet box.
This module is for indoor use only and is not suitable for use where condensation may
occur.
1. Locate an appropriate area for the module.
2. Place the base plate on the surface of the wall area or electrical box where the
module is to be mounted and mark the location of the four mounting holes.
3. Drill the marked holes and insert wall anchors into the surface.
Note: Never drill directly into the mounting plate. Metal debris may enter and damage
the xPDISPLAY electronics.
4. If you are mounting the module to an electrical box:
Mount the base plate to the electrical box.
Temporarily hook the module to the base plate
as shown.
5. Guide the expansion cable from the controller through the opening in the back of the
module. Use the internal strain relief of the electrical box or the Heyco strain relief
supplied with the unit.
