J Check whether all of the parts are correctly fitted.
If the device is not correctly assembled there is a
danger of injury.
J Keep the product away from humidity.

sun or other sources of light through the magnifying
glass. This could result in serious eye injuries.
J CAUTION! FIRE HAZARD! Never
expose the magnifying glass to direct
sunlight or other sources of light. Do not
leave the product unattended. Otherwise there is
a risk of fire through concentrated light rays and
concentrated heat.
J Do not subject the device to any extreme temperatures
or severe mechanical stress. Otherwise this may result
in deformation of the product.
J Make sure that the lens 1does not come into contact
with sharp or pointed objects. Otherwise this may
result in damage to the product.

Battery Safety Instructions
DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries
out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries
lying around. There is a risk of children or animals
swallowing them. Consult a doctor immediately if a
battery is swallowed.
J EXPLOSION HAZARD! Never recharge
nonrechargeable batteries, short-circuit
and/or open batteries. This can cause
them to overheat, burn or burst. Never throw batteries
into fire or water. The batteries may explode.
J Remove spent batteries from the product immediately.
Otherwise there is an increased risk of leakage.
J Always replace both batteries at the same time and
only use batteries of the same type.
J Do not use different types of batteries or mix used
and new batteries together.
J Check regularly that the batteries are not leaking.
J Leaked or damaged batteries can cause chemical
burns if they come into contact with the skin; in such
cases you must wear suitable protective gloves.

J Remove the batteries from the product if it is not in
use for any length of time.
J Make sure that the polarity is correct when you
insert the batteries. This is indicated in the battery
compartment. The batteries can otherwise explode.
J Remove used batteries from the device. Very old or
used batteries may leak. The chemical fluid can
damage the product.

j Pull off the battery compartment cover 2in the
direction of the arrow.
j Insert the two supplied batteries 3into the battery
compartment.
Note: Ensure correct polarity. This is indicated in
the battery compartment.
j Push the battery compartment 2back on to the
handle until it engages.

j Slide the ON/OFF switch 5in the direction of the
lit bulb icon to switch on the LED light 4.
j Slide the ON/OFF switch 5in the direction of the
turned off bulb icon to switch off the LED light 4.

Replacing the batteries
j Pull off the battery compartment cover 2in the
direction of the arrow.
j Remove the exhausted batteries 3.
j Insert two new batteries 3type 1.5V , AAA
into the battery compartment.
Note: Ensure correct polarity. This is indicated in
the battery compartment.
j Push the battery compartment 2back on to the
handle until it engages.

Cleaning and care
CAUTION! Clean the lens 1with great care in order
to avoid scratching it.

J On no account should you use corrosive or aggressive
cleaning agents.
j Use a dry, fluff-free cloth for cleaning.
j Never immerse the product into water or other liquids.
j When the product is not being used it should be
stored in such a way that the lens cannot be scratched,
e.g. wrapped in a soft cloth.

Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable
materials, which you may dispose of at local
recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more
details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose
of the product properly when it has reached the
end of its useful life and not in the household
waste. Information on collection points and
their opening hours can be obtained from your
local authority.
