Safety precautions are essential when any
propane fueled equipment is involved. These
precautions are necessary when using, storing
and servicing. Following these safety alerts will
reduce the possibilities of personal injury or
property damage.
The following symbols shown below are used
extensively throughout these instructions. Always
heed these precautions, as they are essential
when using any propane fueled equipment.

in low places If you smell gas, leave the
area immediately.

other ignition sources or while outdoor
stove is hot to touch.
• Duringlightingandoperation,thisproduct
can be a source of ignition. Never use the stove
in spaces that contain or may contain
volatile or airborne combustibles, or products
such as gasoline, solvents, paint thinners, dust
particles or unknown chemicals.

These products are designed to produce
extremely minute non-hazardous amounts of
COifusedandmaintainedinaccordancewith
allwarningandinstructions.Donotblockair
owintooroutofthesestoves.
• CarbonMonoxide(CO)poisoningproduces
u-likesymptoms,wateryeyes,headaches,
dizziness, fatigue and possibly death. You can’t
see it and you can’t smell it. It’s an invisible killer.
If these symptoms are present during operation
of these products GET FRESH AIR
IMMEDIATELY!
• FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY.
• Never use inside a dwelling home, camper,
tent, vehicle or other unventilated or
enclosed areas. These stoves consume air
(Oxygen) and produce carbon monoxide
(CO). Do not use in unventilated or enclosed
areas to avoid endangering your life.
WARNING
• Thisproductisfueledbypropanegas.Propane
gasisinvisible,odorless,andammable.An
odorant is normally added to help detect leaks
and can be described as a “rotten egg” smell.
The odorant can fade over time so leaking gas
is not always detectable by smell alone.
• Propanegasisheavierthanairandleaking
propane will sink to the lowest level possible. It
can ignite by ignition sources including matches,
lighters,sparksoropenamesofanykindmany
feet away from the original leak, Use only
propane gas set up for vapor withdrawal.
• Propanegasshouldbestoredorusedin
compliance with local ordinances and codes or
with ANSI/NFPA 58. Turn off propane when
not in use.
• Donotconnecttoaremotegassupply.
Duringstoveset-up,checkallttingsforleaks
usingsoapywater.Neveruseaame.Ifstored
indoors, detach and leave cylinder outdoors.

Bubbles from using soapy water indicate a
leak. Check that the connection is not cross-
threaded and that it is tight. Perform another
leak check. If there is still a leak, remove the
cylinder and contact Basecamp service for

space heater or leave unattended while lit.
Never alter in anyway or use with any device or
part not expressly approved by Basecamp.

Set Up
CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD
NOTE: Use only 16.4 oz. disposable propane
cylinders. The LP gas cylinder(s) used with
portable propane stoves must be constructed
and marked in accordance with the
specications for LP-gas cylinders of the
U.S. Department of Transportation or Transport
Canada, CAN/CSA B339

6. Screw regulator into stove (Hand tight)
7. Remove plastic cap from top of pro-
pane bottle and screw propane bottle
into regulator (Hand tight)
8. Propane cylinder properly installed
9. Never operate stoves with propane
cylinder in an inverted position.
Leak Check
WARNING
• Perform leak test outdoors
• Extinguish all open ames
• NEVER leak test when smoking
• Do not use the outdoor stove until
connection has been leak tested and
does not leak
To Light

and replace protective cap on cylinder
• Remove regulator from stoves
• Lift off grate

Select the burner to be ignited and
slowly turn the gas control in a counter-
clockwise direction approximately
¼ of a turn.

Depress the
Piezo button
rmly to get a
spark from the
electrode
positioned
above the
burner.

Adjust ame with burner valve. Flame should
be blue with a hint of yellow in the tips.

To Turn Off
With the ame still operating, turn the gas
control knob in the clockwise direction until
they are rmly “Off”. Allow the ame to burn
down then extinguish once all remaining gas in
the system has been used.
To Clean
• Keep stove areas clean and free from
combustible materials, gasoline and
other ammable vapors and liquids
• Do not obstruct the ow of combustion
and ventilation air
• A good ame should be blue with
minimal yellow tips on ends of ames.
Some yellow tips on ames are
acceptable as long as no carbon
or soot deposits appear.
• Wipe clean with soft cloth and mild
dish detergent. Do not use abrasives.
Maintenance
If Piezo does not light burner on rst try, close
gas control, wait 10 seconds and go back to
step 2.

greater than 1.14 kg (2.5 lb.) water
capacity (approximately 1 lb.
propane) in occupied enclosures.
•Theusualstorageareasforcamping
and picnic equipment are the
basement, attic or garage. To avoid
the accumulation of dust, cobwebs
etc., that is common in these storage
areas, place your stove in a plastic
bag and seal with a rubber band or
keep the original carton.

To Store Things you should know
DANGER
• NEVER STORE PROPANE near high
heat, open ames, pilot lights, direct
sunlight, other ignition sources or
where temperatures exceed 120º F
(49ºC).
• The cylinder must be disconnected
when the stove is not in use.
EXPLOSION - FIRE HAZARD
For storage or transport, the regulator
may be located below the pot support.
To carry stoves, rmly grasp by the
handle - making sure appliances is
properly locked by the 2 leg supports.

WARRANTY
This appliance is covered against faulty workmanship and materials for a period of 12 months from the date of
original purchase. The following items are not covered by warranty:
