The usage of notes, tips, and warnings in this manual is
specifically for different purposes, which are described as
follows:
When you first set up your nScreen, you may want to find more
information on setups. Refer to the user manual that is supplied
with your operating system, or search from Help and Support
in the Start menu in Windows XP.
In this book, the steps needed to reach a menu are shown in
condensed form, for example: Start > Help and Support.

Package contents
Before using your nScreen for the first time, please check if you
have all the items with you. For details about what should be
included in the package, refer to the Product Specification label
on the product carton. If any of the items are missing or appear
damaged, contact your dealer immediately. Save the packaging
in case you need to ship your nScreen for service.
Getting your nScreen ready for
use
1. Attaching the monitor base
Place the monitor base on a flat, stable surface. Connect the
monitor to the monitor base until it locks into place (with two
clicks). Note that there is one direction only to make the
connection. Incorrect direction will cause damage to the device.
Depending on the model of your nScreen, the appearance
may be different from the illustrations shown in this manual.
You should position the monitor and angle the screen to
minimize unwanted reflections from other light sources.
If you want to detach the monitor base, refer to "Detaching the
monitor base" on page 7.

2. Connecting the power
a. Connect the power cord to the power adapter.
b. Connect the power adapter to the power jack on your
nScreen.
c. Connect the power cord to a power outlet. The
nScreen is then supplied normally with power.
3. Connecting the keyboard
Connect the provided keyboard to a USB port to input text.
Power systems and plug types may vary depending on your
country/region.
Note that there is one direction only to make the connection.
Incorrect direction will cause damage to the device.

4. Connecting the mouse
Connect the provided mouse to a USB port to perform
navigation, scrolling, and selection functions.

6. Performing initial setup
Press the Power button to start up your nScreen, the Power
button indicator lights up in green. You can then follow the on-
screen instructions to complete the initial setup.
Turning your nScreen off
To turn your nScreen off, do one of the following.
• Click Start > Shut Down.
• Press the Power button, and select Shut Down.
• Your nScreen i91/i221 series work best with the operating
system pre-installed for you. Installing other operating
systems that have not been tested is not recommended, and
may not only void your warranty but also affect the
functionality of your nScreen.
• The actual operating system that comes with your nScreen
may vary. For details, refer to the Product Specification label
on the product carton.
• For details about the colors and meanings of the indicator,
refer to "Power button indicator" on page 13.
