Thank you for purchasing one of our BETA Shell™ protective cases!
Your BETA Shell™ case is intentionally designed to be simple to use, yet provide superb protection to your

3) User Guide (this document)
If one of the above listed included item(s) is missing, please email us at sales@betashell.com

1) Exacto knife / razor blade or other sharp & precise cutting tool
2) Felt tipped marker / fine tipped permanent marker.

1. Setting up your Fit & Trim Kit
Please read all instruction prior to cutting Fit & Trim components.
Step 1 – Open the BETA Shell™ case and remove Lower Memory Foam.
Step 2 – Center the object you wish to protect inside the case making sure there is at least 6mm (.25 inch) of clearance
around the sides of the object. Take the time to think about what is the best way to store you object before you proceed.
Step 3 – Remove one of the Fit & Trim Decals from its backing paper. Carefully & lightly center it and apply it to the top rim
of the BETA Shell™ Case. Once your decal is lightly applied to the top rim of the case, take a felt-tipped marker and
carefully trace out the upper profile of your item. Trace the object outline onto the clear decal. You will be cutting out this
outline in the next few steps. Remove this decal from the top rim & remove your object from the case.
Step 4 – Flip your object 180 degrees and repeat Steps 2 – 3 for the other end of your object. Now you should have two Fit
& Trim Decals marked up – the first with the top profile of your object, and the second with the lower profile of your object.
Step 5 – Center and applied each Fit & Trim Decal to each of the supplied Fit & Trim Disks. Using an Exacto Knife (or
similar) carefully cut along the traced profile lines on both of the Disks. Cut exactly on the profile lines as the Disk foam is
relatively stiff and will not deform easily if cut too tight. Do not remove the plastic Pull Tabs from each disk. Remove the
inner cores on each Disk and check for fit to object. Adjust the removed profiles on each Fit & Trim Disk to desired fit
around the object. Disks should be a little loose around the object as they will compress when inserted into the case.
Step 6 – Once the Fit & Trim Disks have been trimmed as desired. Re-insert the Lower Memory Foam (and Foam Fitting
Disks if used). Now insert the lower trimmed Fit & Trim Disk into the case above the Lower Memory Foam.
To store your object in the case – simply set the object into the case and then insert the top Fit & Trim Disk around the
object, then close the case. The Pull Tab on the top Disk is there to help you remove the top Disk when removing your item.
Make sure the top most surface of you object is 12 – 25mm below the top rim of the case (if it not, then adjust the fit as
described in Section 1 of User Manual).
Note – Using a lower and upper Fit & Trim Disk is ideal, but you can use a single disk if desired – it just depends on the
shape of your object. If you ruin a Fit & Trim Decal or Disk during the trimming process, we will gladly send US based
customer a new Decal or Disk at a modest charge to cover shipping. Just email us @ [email protected] if you need
additional parts or help.
