PLEASE NOTE
– Electrical equipment must be installed, operated, serviced, and maintained only by qualified
personnel.
– A qualified person is one who has skills and knowledge related to the design and the operation of
electrical installations, and has received safety training to recognize and avoid the hazards involved.
– All pertinent regional, national and local safety regulations must be observed when installing and
using the charging station.
– Only personnel authorised by BMW Wallbox Installation Service must install this equipment.
– BMW cannot be held responsible for failure to follow the instructions given in these installation
instructions.
INFORMATION FOR USE
– The Wallbox Pro charging station is designed for a domestic use only.
– The Wallbox Pro charging station is designed for charging an electric vehicle indoors or under a
shelter.

BITTE BEACHTEN SIE

DANGER
HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION OR ARC FLASH
– To prevent overheating, only use a supply cable with a cross-section suitable for the rated current
used by the Wallbox Pro.
– Do not install the charging station if any damage is observed while unpacking or handling.
– Before charging vehicles from other manufacturers, trained and qualified personnel must always
check the electrical installation to insure that it meets the specifications/requirements of the
vehicle being charged.
– If the charging cable or connector is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid any hazard.
– Do not use this product with electric vehicles that require ventilation.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.

GEFAHR
GEFAHR VON STROMSCHLÄGEN, EXPLOSIONEN UND LICHTBÖGEN
– Um Überhitzung zu vermeiden, verwenden Sie nur ein Versorgungskabel mit einem für den
Nennstrom der Wallbox Pro geeigneten Querschnitt.
– Installieren Sie die Ladestation nicht, wenn Sie beim Auspacken oder bei der Handhabung
Schäden feststellen.
– Vor dem Aufladen von Fahrzeugen anderer Hersteller muss die elektrische Anlage immer von
geschulten und qualifizierten Personen überprüft werden, um sicherzustellen, dass sie die
Spezifikationen/Anforderungen des aufzuladenden Fahrzeugs erfüllt.
– Wenn das Ladekabel oder der Ladestecker beschädigt ist, muss es/er durch den Hersteller,
seinen Kundendienst oder ähnlich qualifizierte Personen ersetzt werden, um eine Gefährdung zu
vermeiden.
– Dieses Produkt darf nicht für Elektrofahrzeuge verwendet werden, die gelüftet werden müssen.
Bei Nichtbeachtung dieser Anweisungen kommt es zu ernsthaften oder sogar tödlichen
Verletzungen.

Features description
The Wallbox Pro is a charging station designed to efficiently charge electric vehicles batteries. It has
been designed to provide energy management features and to integrate domestic energy generation.
It can be connected to a network with internet access to provide Charge Detail Records and Event
Reports, if any.

Power Meter Wallbox Pro
The Wallbox Pro is a 7.4 kW charging station with an attached cable with a Type 2 connector. A
power meter (only with Part No. 61 90 2 288 283) is delivered with the Wallbox Pro to enable energy
monitoring and energy management.
The driver is informed of the charging status and charging information by a 7-inch touch screen and
by light strips. The touch screen and light strips are activated either by the proximity sensor or when a
person touches the Wallbox Pro screen.
The touch screen provides information on the on-going charge as well as statistics on previous
charges. The homeowner can select to protect access to the Wallbox Pro interface via a username and
PIN code or he can select unprotected access, hence having "plug and charge" behaviour.
The load management feature when activated enables Wallbox Pro to automatically determine the
maximum power it can allocate to the car without tripping the house main breaker, hence avoiding a
power outage. In addition, the contract power can be optimized.
