FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
Thank you for choosing a Britton® product. Please take a little time to read the important safety
notes detailed below. This will ensure many years of happy, safe use.
Britton T'Way is approved to ECE R44/04 as a child safety seat for age groups I and II+III.
Group I – Child body weight 9 to 18kg
Children with a body weight of less than 15 kg must be secured in the T'Way car
seat with the child seat’s built-in 5-point harness. We recommend to use the 5-point
harness until your child has got a body weight of 18 kg.
T'Way car seat is installed permanently in the car with the vehicle’s 3-point belt.
Group II+III – child body weight 15 to 36kg
Children with a body weight of more than 18 kg must be secured in T'Way car seat
with the vehicle’s 3-point belt.
T'Way car seat is not installed permanently in the vehicle. It is secured together with
your child using the vehicle's 3-point belt.
Tested and certied according to ECE* R44/04.
* ECE = European Standard of Child Seat Equipment
Safety notes:
• WARNING: A CHILDS SAFETY IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
• WARNING: After an accident the child car seat should be replaced.
• WARNING: NEVER use this child car seat on side facing vehicle seat.
• WARNING: NEVER leave your child unattended, even for the shortest time.
• WARNING: ALWAYS secure your child with the safety harness when using this child car seat.
• WARNING: DO NOT attempt to dismantle, modify or add to any part of the child car seat or
change the way your vehicle seat belts are made or used.
• WARNING: Any rigid items and plastic parts of the child car seat must be so located and
installed that they are not liable, during everyday use of the vehicle, to become trapped by a
movable seat or in a door of vehicle.
• WARNING: If any load bearing points other than those described in the instructions are used,
this can signicantly reduce the protection factor of the child car seat.
• WARNING: DO NOT use the child car seat in the home. It has not been designed for home
use and should only be used in your car.
• This child car seat can only be installed forward facing using a three-point lap and diagonal
seat belt.
• Always make sure that the child car seat harness and vehicle belt are correctly tensioned to
ensure maximum protection for your child.
• The buckle has been designed to be released quickly in an emergency. IT IS NOT CHILD
PROOF. More inquisitive children might learn to undo the buckle. Children should be told never
to play with it or any other part of the child car seat.
• Never use any replacement parts other than those that are approved by Britton.
• The lap belt must be used well down in such a way as to properly secure the pelvis of the
child.
• Never use the child car seat without its fabric cover because the seat cover constitutes as an

integral part of the child car seat performance. The seat cover should not be replaced with any
other than the ones recommended by Britton.
• Safely secure any luggage and other objects that might cause injury to the occupant of the
child car seat in the event of a crash.
• After an accident, replace your child car seat and the vehicle seat belts. Although they may
look undamaged, they may not protect your child as well as they should.
• Britton advise that child car seats should not be brought or sold second-hand. Many seats
sold through local advertising and car-boot sales have been found to be dangerous.
• Prevent harness/vehicle belt from getting trapped between car doors or rubbing against sharp
parts of the seat or body.
• If the harness/vehicle belts becomes cut or frayed, replace it before travelling.
• Periodically inspect the harness of wear, paying particular attention to attachment points,
stitching and adjusting devices.
• If the vehicle has been left in the sun for a long time, check the seat cover and make sure it is
not too hot before placing the child in the child car seat.
• Security is only guaranteed if the child car seat is tted in accordance with these instructions.
• Failure to comply with the above instructions will automatically void the warranty and exempt
Britton from any liability.
• Store this car seat in a safe place when it is not being in used. Avoid placing heavy objects on
top of it. Do not allow your child car seat to contact with corrosive substances e.g. battery acid.
NOTICE:
1. This is a “Universal” child restraint .It is approved to ECE Regulation No.44.04 series of
amendments, for general use in vehicles and it will t most, but not all, car seats.
2. A correct t is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has declared in the vehicle handbook that the
vehicle is capable of accepting a “Universal” child restraint for this age group.
3. This child restraint has been classied as “Universal” under more stringent conditions as
those which applied to earlier designs which do not carry this notice.
4. lf in doubt, consult either the child restraint manufacturer or retailer.
This child restraint is only suitable if the vehicle is tted with a type approved 3 point with
retractor safety belt, in compliance with standard UN / ECE Regulation No.16 or other
equivalent standards.

2. USE IN VEHICLE
WARNING: This child car seat can only be installed forward facing using 3- point lap and
diagonal belt in the front or rear passenger seats of the car.
Danger! If you secure your child in the child seat with only a 2-point belt, then in the event
of an accident this may cause serious injuries to your child, possibly resulting in death.
Never use in combination with a 2-point belt!
You can use this child car seat as follows:
*a* Use is permitted on a rearward-facing vehicle seat (e.g. in a van or minibus) only if the
vehicle seat is also approved for use by adults. The seat may not be in the area of eect of an
airbag.
*b* The safety belt must be approved to ECE R 16 or a comparable standard (see test label on
belt with an "E" or "e" in a circle).
*c* If there is a front airbag: slide vehicle seat back all the way or nearly so, observe any
instructions in vehicle owner's manual.
*d* Cannot be used if the vehicle seat is equipped with only a 2-point belt.
3. HARNESS ADJUSTMENT
The shoulder harness must t at the top of your child’s shoulders. The height of the shoulder
harness can be raised or lowered by adjusting the height of the headrest (A).
To loosen the harness, push the adjuster button (G) in as you pull the shoulder straps (E)
forward as much as possible. (Fig. 2a)
Squeeze lever at the back of the headrest (I) and raise or lower the headrest (A) to the correct
position. (Fig. 2b)
You can use the harness with your child as long as the shoulder harness t your child’s
shoulder correctly. (Fig. 3)
IMPORTANT: Pull the harness UNDER the chest pads. DO NOT pull on the chest pads.
To tighten the harness pull the adjustment strap (H) forward.
Important! For group II and III, without harness system, go directly to step 6.
