The lightning flash with arrow-head symbol within an equilateral triangle
is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous
voltage” within the unit’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude

the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance
(servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the unit.

To reduce the risk of electric shock, burns, fire or injury:
Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
Do not place or store unit where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
Do not place in, drop or submerge in water or other liquid.
Do not reach for unit that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.
Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not
spilled onto the unit.

Close supervision is necessary when this appliance/product is used
by or near children or mentally disabled individuals.
Use this unit only for its intended use as described in this manual.
Unplug this unit during lightning storms, when unused for long periods
of time or when batteries are fully charged.
Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
Protect the adapter cord from being walked on or pinched.
Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Wrap cord loosely around
the unit, or place adapter in the original box, when storing.
Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
Never remove the plug from the socket by pulling the power cord.

9. The unit should be situated away from direct sunlight or heat sources such
as radiators, electric heaters, heat registers, stoves, or other units (including
amplifiers) that produce heat. Avoid placing on top of stereo equipment that
radiates heat.
10. Never block the air openings of the unit with materials such as clothing,
plastic bags or papers, or place it on a soft surface such as a bed or couch,
where the air openings may be blocked.
11. Do not overload electrical outlet. Use only the power source as indicated.
12. Do not carry this unit by cord or use cord as handle.
13. Never operate this unit if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, or if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. If the
unit’s power supply cord or plug is damaged, do not attempt to fix it yourself.
14. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair
the unit. Incorrect repair can cause risk of electric shock or injury to persons
when unit is used.
IMPoRTanT
This product does not contain a separate Power On/Off switch.
After inserting a disc and installing batteries/AC adaptor, simply press
the Play button to switch on and play a disc.
In order to maximize battery life and provide optimum playing time, this
product incorporates an Auto-Power-Off function. The power to the player
will automatically switch off approximately 60 Seconds after a disc has
finished playing or when the CD lid is opened.

The ESP function is automatically engaged when playback starts.

safeTY PRecaUTIon
As the laser beam used in this compact disc player is harmful to the eyes,
do not attempt to disassemble the casing.
Stop operation immediately if any liquid or solid object should fall into
the cabinet. Unplug the unit and have it checked by qualified personnel.
Do not touch the lens or poke at it. If you do, you may damage the lens
and the player may not operate properly.
Do not put anything in the safety slot. If you do, the laser diode will be
ON when the lid is still opened.
If the unit is not to be used for a long period of time, make sure that all
power sources are disconnected from the unit. Remove all batteries from
the battery compartment, and unplug the AC adaptor from the wall outlet.
Make it a practice to remove the AC adaptor by grasping the main body
and not by pulling the cord.
This unit employs a laser. The use of controls or adjustment or performance
of procedures other than those specified herein may result in exposure to
hazardous radiation.

The apparatus and AC/DC adaptor shall not be exposed to dripping and
splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed
on the apparatus or AC/DC adaptor.

Dispose of the old batteries properly. Do not dispose of the old batteries
in a fire.
Do not leave the batteries where a child or pet could play with or swallow
them. If the batteries are swallowed, contact a physician immediately.
The batteries may explode if mistreated. Do not attempt to recharge or
disassemble the batteries.
Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. Do not mix old
and new batteries, different types of batteries, or rechargeable batteries
of different capacities.
