Introduction
Please take a few moments to carefully read
through this manual. Correct maintenance and
operation of this machine will provide the best
possible performance from your BUFFALO product.

BUFFALO prides itself on quality and service,
ensuring that at the time of packaging the contents
are supplied fully functional and free of damage.
Should you find any damage as a result of transit,
please contact your BUFFALO dealer immediately.
Installation
Remove all packaging and dispose of safely. Wash
Liner, Top Ring and Lid in warm soapy water, rinse
in clean water then dry thoroughly.
Operation
1. Connect the appliance to the mains power
supply.
2. Partly fill the Body with water (water level
should be between the Min and Max fill lines).
3. Place the metal collar on the body of the kettle,
then place the inner liner inside the Body of
the soup kettle (The inner liner should sit on
top of the metal collar).
4. Pour the hot soup or food in to the Liner, then
position the Lid on the Top Ring.
5. Switch on electricity at socket.
6. Start heating by rotating the control knob
clockwise, indicator light will come on and
stay on until selected temperature is reached.
Power will come on to start heating again
when the temperature of the kettle falls.
7. To turn the appliance Off, set the Temperature
Control to ‘0’.

switched on or contains hot
liquid.

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
• Disconnect from electricity supply, allow to cool before emptying the water from the Body, always use
fresh water when the kettle is to be used.
• Always wash the Kettle Liner, Top Ring and Lid after every use. Wipe both exterior and interior of
the Body to remove any food residues, do not immerse the Body in water or clean with a pressure
washer.
• Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
De-scaling
In hard water areas lime scale can build up within the appliance after prolonged use. For best taste and
extended appliance life, de-scale it regularly. Installation of a water filtration system is also recommended.
To de-scale the appliance.
1. Remove the lid and inner container first.
2. Pour a solution of de-scaler and water into the outer container.
3. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the de-scale solution with reference to the length of time
required to soak, agitation, water temperature and on how to dispose of the solution safely.
4. Fill the outer container with clean water and turn the appliance On to flush out the system. Flush out
the system thoroughly to remove any de-scaler residue.
5. The appliance is now ready for use.
Note: Use a suitable de-scaler and always follow the manufacturer’s
instructions.
BUFFALO recommend that this appliance is de-scaled every 3 months or more
frequently in hard water areas.
IMPORTANT: Failure to de-scale or maintain will invalidate your guarantee.

Electrical Wiring
This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin BS1363 plug and lead.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency
disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.

Inleiding
Neem de tijd en lees deze handleiding aandachtig
door. Een correct gebruik en onderhoud van deze
machine waarborgt de beste prestatie van uw
BUFFALO product.
Verpakkingsinhoud
De verpakking bevat het volgende:

• Bovenstering
• Binnenketel
• Dekselunit
• Handleiding
BUFFALO is trots op de haar productkwaliteit en
dienstverlening en controleer de inhoud van de
verpakkingen, tijdens de verpakkingsfase, op
functionaliteit en schade.
Mocht u product door transport zijn beschadigd,
neem dan onmiddellijk contact op met uw
BUFFALO dealer.
Installatie
Verwijder al het verpakkingsmateriaal en zorg voor
een veilige afvalverwerking ervan. De binnenketel,
bovenste ring en deksel met warm zeepwater
reinigen, met schoon water spoelen en vervolgens
goed droogmaken.
Werking
1. Sluit het apparaat aan op het elektriciteitsnet.
2. Vul het lichaam gedeeltelijk met water
(waterniveau moet tussen de min en max
vullijnen zijn).
3. Plaats de metalen kraag op het lichaam van
de ketel, plaats dan de binnenbekleding in het
lichaam van de soepketel (Debinnenbekleding
moet op de bovenkant van de metalen kraag
zitten.
4. Schenk de hete soep of het voedsel in de
binnenketel en plaats de deksel op de bovenste
ring. Zet de stroom aan doorde stekker in het
stopcontact te steken.
5. Start het verwarmen door de bedieningsknop
naar rechts te draaien.
6. Het indicatielampje gaat aan en blijf aan totdat
de geselecteerde aan te houden temperatuur
wordt bereikt. Daalt detemperatuur van de
ketel dan wordt de stroom ingeschakeld en
wordt het verwarmingsproces opnieuw gestart.
7. Om het apparaat Off (uit) te schakelen zet u
de temperatuurregelaar op ‘0’.
WAARSCHUWING: apparaat
NIET verplaatsen of vervoeren
wanneer in gebruik of met hete
vloeistof.

Reiniging, zorg & onderhoud
• Haal de stroomstekker uit het stopcontact, laat de unit afkoelen voordat u het water eruit halt en
gebruik altijd vers water bij elk gebruik van de ketel.
• Na elk gebruik dient u de binnenketel, de bovenste ring en deksel te wassen. Verwijder voedselresten
zowel van de buitenkant als van de binnenkant van de unit. De unit niet in water onderdompelen of
met een drukreiniger wassen.
• Na reiniging goed drogen.
Ontkalken
In gebieden met hard water kan kalkaanslag zich na langdurig gebruik in het apparaat ophopen. Voor de
beste smaak en langere levensduur van het apparaat, ontkalk het regelmatig. Het apparaat ontkalken:
1. Verwijder eerst het deksel en de binnenbak.
2. Giet een oplossing van ontkalker en water in de buitencontainer.
3. Volg de instructies van de fabrikant over de ontkalkingsoplossing met verwijzing naar de tijd die nodig
is om te weken, agitatie, watertemperatuur en hoe de oplossing veilig te verwijderen.
4. Vul de buitencontainer met schoon water en zet het apparaat aan om het systeem door te spoelen.
Spoel het systeem grondig met water om eventuele resten van het ontkalkingsmiddel te verwijderen.
5. Het apparaat is nu klaar voor gebruik.
Opmerking: gebruik een geschikte ontkalker en volg altijd de instructies van de
fabrikant.
BUFFALO raadt u aan om dit apparaat om de 3 maanden te ontkalken en vaker
in gebieden met hard water.
BELANGRIJK: Het niet ontkalken of onderhouden maakt uw garantie ongeldig.

Elektrische bedrading
Men dient de steker op een geschikt stopcontact aan te sluiten.
De bedrading van dit apparaat is als volgt:
• Stroomkabel (bruin) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met L
• Neutraalkabel (blauw) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met N
• Aardekabel (groen/geel) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met E
Dit apparaat moet worden geaard.
Bij twijfels raadpleeg een vakkundige elektricien.
De elektrische isolatiepunten mogen niet worden geblokkeerd. In geval van een nooduitschakeling
moeten de isolatiepunten direct toegankelijk zijn.

Het WEEE-logo op dit product of bijbehorende documentatie geeft aan dat het product
niet onder huisvuil valt en als zodanig ook niet mag worden verwerkt. Ter preventie
