Safety Instructions
This product should never be left unattended when
connected to the mains supply.
Power Source
Your vacuum cleaner requires a 240V 50Hz supply. Do not use any
other supply.
Using the Vacuum Cleaner
• Do not vacuum wet surfaces, pick up wet objects or use in wet
conditions.
• Do not use the vacuum cleaner to pick-up burning objects as
this is a re risk!
• Do not pick up hot objects such as coal and ash.
• Do not use the vacuum cleaner to pick-up large objects that are
likely to cause blockage and damage to the vacuum cleaner.
• Do not stand the cleaner on its rear face while cleaning.
• Do not run over the mains cable with your vacuum cleaner.
• For domestic use only. Industrial or commercial use invalidates
the warranty.
• Most new carpets have a running in period in which only light
vacuuming is recommended.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
• Do not operate the cleaner without the container and lters
installed.
Transporting your vacuum
• To move your vacuum cleaner from
room to room, unplug the unit and
carry using the carry handle.
• Never pull the vacuum cleaner by
it’s mains power cord when
moving.
Servicing
• With the exception of lters and the dust container, there are no
user-serviceable parts in the vacuum cleaner.
• Contact the BUSH helpline on 1800 509 394 in Australia or
0800 450 259 in New Zealand if you are in any doubt about the
installation, operation or safety of your vacuum cleaner.
• Ensure you replace the lters when necessary.
• Always empty the dust container when indicated on the
vacuum cleaner.
• The plug of the power cord must be removed from the wall
socket before emptying the dust container, cleaning the
appliance or undertaking any maintenance operations.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualied person
in order to avoid a hazard.

Extension Tube
This vacuum cleaner incorporates an
adjustable extension tube.
To extend the tube, push the locking
catch forward and pull the tube to the
desired length. Release the locking
catch to lock the tube into position.
Crevice tool/brush
The crevice tool can be used to clean
hard to reach places.
Attach it directly to the handle for
greater control, alternatively, attach to
the extension tube for greater reach.
The crevice tool is tted with a small
brush that rotates forwards and clocks
into position for use.
The brush can be removed by rotating
the brush back until it clicks into the
storage position.

A storage xings is provided to attach
the crevice tool to the hose handle.
Refer to the crevice tool storage picture
on page 8.

Floor brush
Push the extension tube onto the hose handle, then t the oor
brush to the extension tube. Alternatively, the oor brush can be
attached directly to the handle if preferred.
Fit the oor brush to the end of
the extension tube.
The selector on the oor brush
allows you to choose the most
appropriate setting for the type
of oor covering.
Height adjustable settings
The brush can be raised or lowered depending on the surface to
be cleaned.
• The brush down position is intended for use on non-carpeted
oors or short bristled carpets.
• The brush up position is intended for general use on all types of
carpet.
NOTE:
The brush down position can be used on carpets with a longer pile
to increase the amount of ‘pick-up’ for ground in dirt, but it also
increases the amount of force required to move the brush head
over the carpet.
