TIPS AND BEST PRACTICES
WHEN YOU SEE AN INFO SYMBOL ( ) THERE WILL BE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
THE INFORMATION MAY HELP YOU
Cabela’s recommends that you familiarize yourself with all parts and fully assemble your tent before going on
your first adventure.
It can be easier to assemble a tent with the door facing the wind. Once you have fully assembled the tent, you
can turn it to face the way you want and re-stake.
Stakes should be placed at a 45˚ angle with the tops facing away from the center of the tent.
If your tent has fabric ties or hooks on top of the tent, secure these to the poles. These are usually the support
for an accessory hang point inside of the tent.
Research the area where you intend to camp. Prepare for any possible weather conditions. Be aware of hazards
and emergency protocol.
Know the rules and regulations of the area where you intend to camp.
When possible, open doors to increase ventilation and reduce condensation which can form on the inner tent
surface.
Always store your tent dry and clean. To clean soiled areas, gently apply nondetergent soap and water.
You should set up and inspect your tent annually before using. Ensure that you have all the parts from the
provided list.
Inspect seams for wear and apply seam sealer if needed.
We HIGHLY recommend setting guy lines every time to secure your tent. Guy lines will not only stabilize the tent
in windy conditions, they also ensure that tent will vent properly.
Be considerate of other people and wildlife.
Remember to clean up and dispose of all waste properly. “Leave no trace behind.”
DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Follow all assembly steps in reverse order to disassemble tent.
When disassembling tent you should slightly loosen all rain-fly buckles or webbing. You should also loosen
window zippers to relieve stress upon next assembly.
Fold rain fly and place over tent body. Fold tent body into thirds or quarters depending on tent. The width of the
folded tent should roughly match the length of unassembled poles.
Smaller backpack tents–Place pole and stake bag on short end of tent. Firmly roll tent up around the pole bag
and place in carry bag.

TWO-POLE
ASSEMBLY
STEP 1 - GETTING STARTED
CABELA’S TENTS ARE EASY TO ASSEMBLE AS LONG AS YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND AVOID EXCESSIVE
FORCE TO ANY PART OF THE TENT OR POLES.
Lay the tent body flat with the door facing you.
(Note: Cabela’s logo will be on the bottom left corner.)
Loosely stake out the two corners facing you (A1 and B1)
through the loop at the end of the webbing.
(Note: Insert all stakes into the ground at a 45˚angle facing
away from the center of the tent.)
STEP 2 - MAIN POLE ASSEMBLY
Assemble the two main poles making sure all pole sections
slide completely together.
Lay the main poles over the tent body to form an X. (A1 to
A2 and B1 to B2). One pole at a time, place the ends into the
grommets in corner webbing.
STEP 3 - TENT BODY ASSEMBLY
Start with front left pole (A1) and attach tent body clips to
this pole. Once this corner is complete, clip the larger top
clip over both poles. Attach clips on remaining corners one
at a time to assemble tent body.
Place a stake at the remaining corners of the tent. Pull the
webbing taut so you attain a straight line but do not distort
the shape of the tent. Review your staking to ensure you
have a secure, symmetrical fit.
