Introducing the FaxPress Premier
Congratulations on purchase of your new FaxPress Premier fax server. This Getting Started Guide is provided
as a printed introductory supplement to the electronic FaxPress Premier Administrator WebHelp Guide,
which can be found on the Castelle website.
The information here is excerpted from the FaxPress Premier Administrator WebHelp Guide, and contains
all the information required to get the FaxPress Premier up and running on your network. Use this Guide to
get started, then refer as needed to the WebHelp Administrator Guide.
Package Contents
Keep the FaxPress Premier’s box and shipping material. Specifically designed to protect the FaxPress
Enterprise server during transport, the FaxPress Premier’s packaging should be kept for future shipping
purposes.
The FaxPress Premier server shipment should contain the following items:
• A FaxPress Premier network fax server
• A Castelle FaxPress Plus CD-ROM
• Two power cables
The FaxPress Premier also requires an RJ-45 cable, which should be provided by your digital line carrier.
About the FaxPress Plus CD-ROM
The FaxPress Plus CD-ROM provides:
• Latest version of the FaxPress Plus client for administrators/users
• E-mail integration solutions
• Connectors for Multi Function Printer (MFP) devices
• Various Add-On Products

It is recommended that a workstation connected to the Internet be available during installation, configuration
and use of the FaxPress Premier. To access the FaxPress Premier WebHelp system, which includes the

• The unit's 8-digit serial number, printed on a label on the bottom of the unit.

• The version number of the network software you are using (e.g., NetWare 3.12.)
• The network topology (e.g., Ethernet).
• The name and version numbers of the email system and clients you are using.
