Safety Tips
• Position on a flat, stable surface.
• A service agent/qualified technician should carry out
installation and any repairs if required. Do not remove any
components on this product.
• Consult Local and National Standards to comply with the
following:
- Health and Safety at Work Legislation
- BS EN Codes of Practice
- Fire Precautions
- IEE Wiring Regulations
- Building Regulations
• Ensure the water level is between the ‘MIN’ and ‘MAX’ marks.
• Over filling of the kettle may result in boiling water being
ejected.
• Always switch off the appliance before removing from the
base.
• Only use the base supplied with the appliance.
• Do not allow the base to become wet.
• Danger of scalding - avoid steam from the spout or when
opening the lid.
• Always switch off and disconnect the power supply to the
appliance when not in use.
• Keep all packaging away from children. Dispose of the
packaging in accordance to the regulations of local authorities.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
Caterlite agent or a recommended qualified technician in order
to avoid a hazard.

• This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they
understand the hazards involved.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if
they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are
aged from 8 years and above and supervised. Keep the
appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than
8 years.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• DO NOT immerse the appliance in water.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar
applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working
environments;
- farm houses;

beware of escaping steam. Hold the appliance by its

Introduction
Please take a few moments to carefully read through this manual. Correct maintenance and operation of
this machine will provide the best possible performance from your Caterlite product.

The following is included:

Caterlite prides itself on quality and service, ensuring that at the time of packaging the contents are
supplied fully functional and free of damage.
Should you find any damage as a result of transit, please contact your Caterlite dealer immediately.
Operation
Note: Before using the appliance for the first time fill and boil it twice. Discard
the water each time.
1. Remove the appliance from the base.
2. Lift the lid and fill with cold water. Do not exceed the ‘MAX’ level.
3. Close the lid securely.
4. Place the appliance on the base.
5. Connect the base to a mains power supply.
6. Push the power switch down to the ‘I’ position. The power indicator light turns On and the water will
begin to boil.
7. When the water has boiled the switch will flick back up to the ‘0’ position. The power indicator light
will turn Off.
Note: The boiling process can be interrupted at any time by manually flicking up
the switch.
WARNING: There is a danger of scalding from steam. Take care during operation
and when opening the lid.

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
Always turn off and disconnect the appliance
from the power supply before cleaning.
• Use soapy water and a damp cloth to clean the exterior of the
appliance.
• Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
• The spout filter slides out for ease of cleaning.
• Periodically clean the inside of the appliance using a suitable
descaling solution.

Electrical Wiring
This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin, moulded, BS1363 plug and lead, with a 13 amp fuse as standard.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency
disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.

not be disposed of as household waste. To help prevent possible harm to human
health and/or the environment, the product must be disposed of in an approved and
environmentally safe recycling process. For further information on how to dispose of

Veiligheidstips
• Plaatsen op een vlakke en stabiele ondergrond.
• De installatie en eventuele reparaties zijn door een
servicetechnicus/vaktechnicus uit te voeren. Verwijder geen
componenten of servicepanelen van dit product.
• Raadpleeg en volg de plaatselijke en nationale regelgeving op
m.b.t. tot het volgende:
- Wetgeving van gezondheid en veiligheid op de werkplaats
- Werkregels
- Brandpreventie
- IEE bekabelingsnormen
- Bouwverordeningen
• Controleer of het waterniveau zich binnen de ‘MIN’ en ‘MAX’
markeringen bevindt.
• Heet of kokend water kan uit de ketel spuiten als u het
apparaat boven het maximum vult.
• Schakel altijd het apparaat uit alvorens de basis te
verwijderen.
• Gebruik uitsluitend de meegeleverde basis met dit apparaat.
• Laat de basis niet nat worden.
• Gevaar voor brandwonden - vermijd het contact met de
stoom van de schenktuit of bij het openen van de deksel.
• Schakel het apparaat altijd uit en haal de steker uit het
stopcontact wanneer u het apparaat niet gebruikt.
• Laat verpakkingsmateriaal niet binnen handbereik van
kinderen. Verpakkingsmateriaal in overeenstemming met
de regelgeving van de plaatselijke overheden als afval laten
verwerken.
• Indien de stroomkabel beschadigd raakt, dient men deze door
een Caterlite technicus of aanbevolen vaktechnicus te laten
vervangen om gevaarlijke situaties te verhinderen.

• Dit apparaat mag worden gebruikt door personen met
beperkte fysische, visuele of mentale mogelijkheden, of die
een gebrek aan ervaring en kennis hebben indien ze gepaste
instructies hebben gekregen zodat ze het apparaat op een
veilige manier kunnen gebruiken en op de hoogte zijn van de
gevaren die het gebruik van het apparaat met zich meebrengt.

met zich meebrengt. Laat het reinigen en het onderhoud van
het apparaat niet uitvoeren door kinderen tenzij ze ouder dan

snoer buiten het bereik van kinderen die jonger dan 8 jaar oud
zijn.
• Laat kinderen niet met het apparaat spelen.
• Dit apparaat NIET in water dompelen.
• Dit apparaat is geschikt voor huishoudelijk gebruik en
gelijksoortige toepassingen zoals:

- boerderijen;
- door gasten in hotels, motels en andere types van
huisvesting;
- bed & breakfasts.
• Gevaar op brandwonden! Raak de hete oppervlakken
niet aan en let op voor vrijgegeven stoom. Houd het
apparaat alleen bij het handvat vast.
• Caterlite beveelt aan dat dit apparaat jaarlijks PAT getest
wordt om ervoor te zorgen het product veilig blijft.

Inleiding
Neem de tijd en lees deze handleiding aandachtig door. Een correct gebruik en onderhoud van deze
machine waarborgt de beste prestatie van uw Caterlite product.
Verpakkingsinhoud
De verpakking bevat het volgende:
• Caterlite Miniketel
• Handleiding
Caterlite is trots op de haar productkwaliteit en dienstverlening en controleer de inhoud van de
verpakkingen, tijdens de verpakkingsfase, op functionaliteit en schade.
Mocht u product door transport zijn beschadigd, neem dan onmiddellijk contact op met uw Caterlite
dealer.
Bediening
Opmerking: alvorens het apparaat voor de eerste keer te gebruiken, dient u
het apparaat twee keer te vullen en te laten koken. Gooi het water van beide
kookprocessen weg.
1. Haal het apparaat van de basis.
2. Open de deksel en vullen met koud water. De ‘MAX’-markering niet overschrijden.
3. Maak de deksel goed dicht.
4. Plaats het apparaat op de basis.
5. Sluit de basis aan op de stroomvoorziening.
6. Zet de stroomschakelaar omlaag in de ‘I’-positie. Het stroomlampje gaat aan en het water begint te
koken.
7. Nadat het water de kooktemperatuur heeft bereikt, springt de schakelaar terug in de ‘0’-positie. Het
stroomlampje gaat uit.
Opmerking: het kookproces kan op elk moment handmatig met de schakelaar
worden onderbroken.
WAARSCHUWING: er is gevaar voor verbranding door de hete stoom. Wees
voorzichtig tijdens het gebruik en bij het openen van de deksel.

Reiniging, zorg & onderhoud
Alvorens het apparaat te reinigen dient men
altijd de stroomvoorziening uit te schakelen.
• Gebruik zeepwater en een vochtige doek om de buitenkant
van het apparaat te reinigen.
• Na reiniging goed drogen.
• Om de reiniging makkelijker te maken is de tuitfilter
uitschuifbaar.
• Reinig regelmatig de binnenkant van het apparaat met behulp
van een geschikt ontkalkingsmiddel.
