TIME MODE
SET THE TIME AND DATE
Power
• Useasmallscrewdrivertoremove
the2screwsonthebatterycover.
InsertCR2032lithiumbatteries
(2qnty)withthepositivesideofthe
batteryupward.Replacethebattery
door and tighten the screws.
• Whenthebatteryislow( ) will
appearonscreenandthebatteries
shouldbereplaced.
Time Setting
• Pressandhold“MODE”buttonfor
3 seconds to enter settings. Press
“▼”or “▲” to change setting, and
press“MODE”buttontoconrm
andmovetonextsetting.
• Settingsequenceisasfollows:
Hour, Minute, Second, Year, Month,
Day,Day-of-weeklanguage
(German, English,
Russian, Danish, Dutch, Italian,
Spanish or French)
• Ifnobuttonispressedfor15
seconds, the display will return to
previousmode.
• Press“MODE”buttontoexitthe
Time Setting Mode.
NOTE: When out of settings mode, press the “▲” button
to select 12 or 24 hour mode
• PressMODEbuttontoswitchbetweenClock,AlarmClock,YearandDual
Time.

Dual Time Setting
• Press“MODE”buttonuntil“DT”is
shown on the screen.
• Hold“MODE”buttonfor3seconds
to enter Dual Time setting. The
“Hour” digits flash. Press “▲”or
“▼“buttontoadjustthe“hour”,
press“MODE”buttontoconrm
and quit the setting.
Alarm Setting
• Press“MODE”buttontonavigate
to Alarm Time Display (“AL” icon
displays on the LCD). Hold “MODE”
buttonfor3secondstoenteralarm
clock setting mode. Press “▼” or
“▲” to change setting, and press
“MODE”buttontoconrmand
movetonextsetting.
• Thesettingsequenceis:Hour,
Minute and Alarm ON ( )/
OFF ( ).
• Whenthealarmison,thesymbol
“”appearsandwhenitisoff
thesymbol“ ” disappears.
• Whenalarmgoesoff“ ” will
ash.Pressanybutton(except
SNOOZE/LIGHTbutton)tostop
thealarm.Ifnobuttonispressed
the alarm will automatically stop
after2minutes.
• Whenalarmisgoingoff,press
“SNOOZE/LIGHT”buttonto
activatethesnoozealarm,(Zzzicon
will flash on screen). The alarm will
snoozefor5minutes.Thesnooze
functioncanbeusedonly7times.

COMPASS
• PresstheCompassbuttonand
the unit will enter the Compass
mode. Make sure to hold the unit
horizontally, parallel to the ground.
Point the arrow that is printed
on the Compass housing in the
directionyouwishtotravel.This
directionwillbedisplayedalong
with the angle in ° (degrees).
The LCD arrow {▲} will always
point North.
• Ifnokeyispressedfor30seconds,
theunitwillautomaticallyshutoff
the compass and return to the
temperature mode.
Note: The compass must be kept in a level position
when in use. Taking a measurement while the unit is not
horizontal (in relation to the horizon) can result in a large
measurement error.
Always take bearings in the open air, because it is easily
affected by disturbing sources of magnetism.
ThecompassshowsthebearingindegreesdueNorthtogetherwith
16 cardinal points.

COMPASS SENSOR CALIBRATION
• InCOMPASSmodeholdthe
“COMPASS”buttonfor3seconds
to enter the compass sensor
calibrationmode,thenpressthe
“COMPASS”buttontostartthe
calibration.
• Keeptheunitinalevelpositionor
ontopofanon-metallictableor
desk.Referencethearrowshowing
in the LCD, rotate the compass
clockwisefortwofullrotations
slowly:
• Whennished,theLCDwilldisplay
“OK”ifthecalibrationissuccessful
ordisplay“Fail”ifunsuccessful
ThecompassshouldbecalibratedbeforeuseANDwhenthebatteriesare
replaced.

SET THE MAGNETIC DECLINATION ANGLE
• InCOMPASSmode,holdthe
“COMPASS”buttonfor3seconds
to enter the compass sensor
calibrationmode,press“MODE”
buttontoentersettingofthe
declination angle. The angle will
flash on the LCD. For example,
belowthe“0°”willashon
the LCD).
• Press“▲”or “▼” to change the
anglevalue,rangefrom-90°to
90°,andpress“MODE”buttonto
conrmandexitthesetting.
Theanglebetweenmagneticnorthandthetruenorthdirectioniscalled
magneticdeclination.Theearth’smagneticpolesuctuateovertime,and
italsovariesfromplacetoplace.Findthemagneticdeclinationonamap
orwebsite,andthensetthedeclinationonthisunittooffsetthedifference
betweenmagneticnorthandtruenorth.Pleasenotethatifyoufailtodothis,
thereadingsyougetfromthecompasscouldbeinerror.

TEMPERATURE
BACKLIGHT
• Whencompassmodeisoff,the
LCD will display the temperature in
unitsof°Cor°F.Thetemperature
rangewillbefrom-20°Cto60°C.
• Press“▼”buttontochangethe
readingfrom°Cto°F.
• WhenTemperatureislowerthan
-20°C, the display will show LL.L°C.
When temperature is higher than
60°C, LCD display will show
HH.H°C.
• PresstheSNOOZE/LIGHTbutton
toturnthebacklightonfor5
seconds.
