Read this Manual carefully before use
Important safeguards
When using this electrical appliance, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions carefully.
2. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to
the voltage stated on the rating label of the coffee
maker.
3. Toprotectagainsre,electricshockandinjuryto
persons do not immerse cord or plug into water or
any other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance
is used by or near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning.
6. Do not operate the appliance if the cord or plug is
damaged or if the appliance malfunctions. Contact
authorized service centre for repair.
7. The use of accessorys not recommended by
manufacturermayresultinre,electricshockor
injurytopersons.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of table coun-
ter,ortouchhotsurface.
10. Do not place on or near a hot stove or electric
burner,orinaheatedoven.
11. Do not use this appliance for any other then its
intended use.
12.Donotcleancontainerwithcleansers,steelwhool
pads or other abrasive material.

13.Todisconnect,turncontrolto“OFF”andremove
plugfromwalloutlet.Alwaysholdtheplug,never
pull the cord.
14. Scalding may occur if the cover is removed during
the brewing cycles. Be careful not to get burned
by the steam.
15.Somepartsoftheappliancearehotwhenoperating,
use knobs or handles.
16.Neverleaveanempthycarafeonthewarmplate,
this may cause the carafe to break.
17. Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any
signs of cracking or if the handle is brokend. Only
usethecarafewithappliance,usecarefullyasthe
carafe is very fragile.
18. This appliance must not be used by children aged
between 0 and 8. This appliance can be used by
children aged 8 and above if they are continuously
supervised. This appliance can be used by and
personswithreducedphysical,sensoryormental
capabilities or with lack of experience and
knowledge,iftheyaresupervisedortheyhave
been instructed about the safe use and they
understand the hazards which its use involves.
19. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
20. Do not let the coffee maker operate without water.

Before rst use
Check that all accessories are complete and that the unit is not damaged. Add water into the tank
tothemaxlevelandbrewwaterseveraltimeswithoutcoffeepowder,thendiscardthewater.
Clean all detachable parts thoroughlt with warm water.
Using your coffee maker
1. Openthelidandllthewatertankwithdrinkingwater.Thewaterlevelshouldnot
exceed the maximum level marked in water gauge.
2. Place the funnel into the funnel support and make sure the funnel is assembled
correctly.Thenputthelterin.
3. Addcoffeepowderintolter.Usually,onecupofcoffeeneedsoneleveldspoonof
coffeepowder.Thiscanbeadjustedaccordingtopersonaltaste.Thenclosethetoplid.
4. Place the carafe on the keeping warm plate.
5. Plugthepowercordintotheoutlet.TheLCDwilldisplay“12:00”indicatorwillash.
6. PressON/auto/OFFbuttononce,theindicatorwillbeilluminatedinredandthe
appliance will start working.
7. The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing the ON/auto/OFF button twice
atanytimeduringoperation,andtheindicatorinitwillbeilluminatedinblue,afterabout
15 seconds it will be extinguished. The appliance will continue brewing once ON/
auto/OFF is pressed again.
NOTE: Youcantakeoutthejug,pourandserveatanytime,theappliancewillstop
dripping automatically. But the time cannot exceed 30 seconds.
8. Removecarafetoservewhennishedbrewing(abotoneminuteafterthecoffeestops
dripping).

Automatic Start function
Ifyouwanttosetastarttimewhenthecoffeemakershouldstartbrewing,followthesesteps:
1. Press“PROG”buttononce,theword“CLOCK”isshownintheup-right
corner of display.
2. Pressthe“HOUR”and“MIN”buttoncontinuouslytosetthepresent
time(realclock)(Fig1).
3. Press“PROG”buttonagainandtheword“TIMER”showintheup-left
corner of display.
4. Setthedelayedstartingtimebypressing“HOUR”and“MIN”button
repetitevelytowantedtime(Fig2)
5. Aftersettingthepresettingtime,pressthe“PROG”buttononce,theword“TIMER”on
thedisplaywilldisappear.Thedisplaywillshowthecurrenttime.After15seconds,the
blueindicatorlampin“PROG”buttonwillbeextinguished.
6. PrestheON/auto/OFFbuttontwice,theindicatorwillilluminateblueandash.TheLCD
willdisplaythecurrenttime.Pressthe“PROG”buttontwicetoviewtheautomaticstart
time.
NOTE: YoucancanceltheautomaticstartsunctionbypressingON/auto/OFFbuttononce
tostopmachine.Ifyouwanttobrewcoffeeagainimmidiately,pressON/auto/OFF
button once again to start brewing immidiately. If you want to change the automatic
starttime,followabovestepsagain.
NOTE: Whenautomaticbrewingstarts,theblueindicatorinON/auto/OFFwillstopashing
and illuminate red.
Memory
If the power supply has been broken off or if the power cord has been unintentionally unplugged
duringoperation,theappliancewillcontinueworkingautomaticallywhenpluggedinagain,ifpau-
sedoesnotexceed10seconds.Ifthepauseexceeds10seconds,thedisplayshowsthedefault
setting and the appliance must be re-started.

NOTE: Thenishedcoffeeislessthenthewaterthatwasused,thecoffeepowderalways
absorbes some of the water when brewing.
9. Whentheprocessisnishedandifyoudon’twanttoserveimmidiately,thecoffeecanbe
kept warm on the kepping warm plate. The appliance will automatically shut off after 40
minutes.Foranoptimaltaste,servethecoffeedirectlyafterbrewingisnished.
10. Always turn the coffee maker off and disconnect the power supply when not in use.
CAUTION: Whenpouringcoffee,themomentaryinclineangleofthecarafeshallnotbemore
then 45 degree from the vertical position. Pour the coffee slowly.
Cleaning & Maintenance
CAUTION: Besuretounplugtheappliancebeforecleaning.Toprotectagainstelectgricalshock,
donotimmersecord,plugorapplianceintowater.Aftereachuse,makesurethe
appliance is disconnected from the wall socket.
1. Clean all detachable parts after each use in warm water.
2. Wipetheproductsexteriorsurfacewithasoft,dampclothtoremovestains.
3. Waterdropletsmaybuildupintheareaabovethefunnelanddripontotheproductbase
duringbrewing.Tocontrolthedripping,wipeoftheareawithaclean,dryclothaftereach
use.
4. Useadampclothtogentlywipethekeepingwarmplate,neveruseabresivecleanerto
clean it.

Removing Mineral deposits
Tokeepyourcoffeemakeroperatingefcientlyyouneedtoclanawaythemineraldepositsleftby
the water regularly.
1. Fill the water tank with water and descaler to the maximum level in the gauge of coffee
maker(thescaleofwateranddescaleris4:1,thedetailreferestoinstructionofdescaler).
Use only household descaler.
2. Plaethecarafeonthekeepingwarmplate,makesurethatthecentrelineofcarafealighns
with that of brew basket.
3. Press the ON/auto/OFF button once and the indicator in it will be illuminated red. After a
while,waterwilldropoutautomatically.
4. Afterpercolatetheequivalentofonecup,switchoftheappliancebypressingtheON/auto/
OFF button twice. The indicator in it will be illuminated in blue and it will be extinguished
after 15 seconds.
5. Leavrethesolutiontoworkfor15minutes,thenrepeatsteps3-5again.
6. Turn the appliance on by pressing the ON/auto/OFF button once and run off the water until
the water tank is completely empty.
7. Rince by operating the appliance with water for at least 3 times.
Hints for Great tasting Coffee
• A clean coffee maker is essential for making great tasing coffee. Regularly clean the coffee
makerasspeciedinthe“CLEANINGANDMAINTENANCE”sectionofthisusermanual.
• Alwaysusefresh,coldwaterrwhenbrewing.
• Storeunusedcoffeepowderinacold,dryplace.Afteropeningapackageofcoffeepowder,
reseal it tightly and store in a refrigerator to maintain its freshness.
• Foroptimalcoffeetaste,buywholecoffeebeansandgrindthemrightbeforeuse.
• Donotreusecoffeepowdersincethiswillgreatlyreducetheavourofthecoffee.Reheating
coffeeisnotrecommendedascoffeeisatitspeakavourrightafterbrewing.
• Clean the coffee maker when over-extraction causes oiliness. Small oil droplets on the surface
are due to extraction of oil from coffee powder when brewing.
• Oiliness may occur more frequently if heavily roasted coffee is used.
