Introduction
Thank you for choosing CHOETECH Thunderbolt™ 3 to Dual HDMI 2.0 Output Adapter!
About Thunderbolt™3
Thunderbolt™ 3 id the latest version of the Thunderbolt™ standard for connecting
computers and electronic devices. Compared to Thunderbolt™ 2, Thunderbolt™ 3
doubles the bandwidth to 40Gbps, halves power consumption, and simultaneously
drives two external 4K displays at 60Hz (or a 5K display) instead of just the single display
previous controllers can drive.
About This Product
Harnessing 40Gbps of bandwidth made by Intel’s Thunderbolt™ 3 technology, this
adapter enables two 4K 60Hz HDMI2.0 compliant displays to be driven from a single
Thunderbolt™ 3 port on your computer, It is compatible with computers systems that
support Thunderbolt™ 3 such as 2017 MacBook Pro (13” & 15”).
Package Includes
1 x Thunderbolt™ 3 to Dual HDMI 2.0 Output Adapter
1 x User Manual
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I know whether I have a USB-C or Thunderbolt™ 3 port:
A: Thunderbolt™ 3 and USB-C connector look very similar, but not all devices with a USB-
connector support Thunderbolt™ 3. To determine whether your host device is
Thunderbolt™ 3, look for the Thunderbolt™ icon both sides of the connection. USB-C
devices do not include this icon.

Q: I connected my Thunderbolt™ 3 dual HDMI 2.0 adapter and can only get a single
output.
A: Please make sure that your Thunderbolt™ 3 host device can support two separate
HDMI 2.0 capable lines over Thunderbolt™ 3.
Q: How can I know whether my system has the necessary two HDMI 2.0 capable lines to
provide dual display output through the Thunderbolt™ 3 port?
A: Unfortunately, in many cases this information is very hard to discern based on the
manufacturers published specifications. If your system is not among those listed in our
compatibility above, please contact your system manufacturer for confirmation of how
many HDMI 2.0 capable lines are routed to your Thunderbolt™ 3 port.
Q: What if a newer compatible NVM is not available from my system manufacturer?
A: Unfortunately, the only option is to contact your system manufacturer and ask when
a newer version will be available, and to let them know that until it is, certain accessories
you are looking to use will not work.
Q: I connected my Thunderbolt™ 3 HDMI 2.0. adapter for the first time and my system
got frozen up.
A: Check to see if your system is running the latest Thunderbolt™ 3 software, NVM, UEFI
BIOS, and all other updates from your system manufacturer. If everything is updated,
unplug the adapter, reboot the system, and then reconnect.
Q: When I connect my Thunderbolt™ 3 device to my Windows computer, I get pop-up
messages. What do I do?
A: Unlike USB devices, Thunderbolt™ 3 devices must be manually authenticated
(approved) for use by the user before the system will recognize them. When you connect
a Thunderbolt™ device to any Windows operating system that can support
Thunderbolt™ 3, a pop-up message appears. To use your device, complete the following:
1. In the New Thunderbolt™ devices have been attached pop-up message, click OK.
2. In the User Account Control pop-up message, click YES.
3. In the Approve Thunderbolt™ Devices pop-up message, do one of the following:
•If you want to authorize your Thunderbolt™ devices every time that you connect
them, select Always Connect in the drop-down list.
•If you want to authorize your Thunderbolt™ devices only once, select Connect
Only Once in the drop-down list.
4. Then click OK.

5
Q: I connected my Thunderbolt™ 3 dual HDMI 2.0 adapter and am not getting any
output to either display.
A: If your system has hybrid graphics (combination of built-in Intel GPU and AMD or
NVIDIA discreet graphics) make sure the Intel GPU is set to be the primary GPU in the
UEFI BIOS.
Warm Notice
1. Supports dual video output with resolutions up to 3840x2160@60Hz only when
connected by using two HDMI 2.0 capable cables, HDMI 2.0 enabled system and display.
2. 4K Resolution requires a 4K equipped source, HDMI able and output display.
3. Because certain monitors may turn on and off every minute as connected with a long
HDMI 2.0 capable cable, we highly recommend using a HDMI 2.0 capable cable within
5.9ft to connect your display for stable output.
