nut) until there
is
play
in
the
valve
push
rod
and
then tightened to
just
remove
ail
push rod to
rocker
arm clearance.
This
may
be
determined
by
rotating push
rod with fingers

the nut
is
tightened. When rod does not readily
move
in
relation
to
the rocker arm, the clearance
ha5
been
eliminated.
The
adjusting
nut
should
then
be
tightened an additional
1
turn
to
place the
hydraulic
lifter
plunger
in
the
center
of
its
travel,
No
further adjustment
is
required.
With
the
engine
in
the
number

firing
position
as
determined
above,
the

may
be
