Igniting theBBQ
• Only use lighter fluids which are intended for lighting barbecues. Follow
thedirections on thebottle for thecorrect dosage. Neveruse petrol, alcohol or
similar products to light theBBQ.
• Never spray lighter fluid or similar products onto theglowing coals as this can
cause asudden eruption of flames.
• Do not store thebottle containing lighter fluid close to thelit BBQ.
Instructions foruse
• Never leave theBBQ unattended when it islit. Makesure that children and pets
are kept at asafe distance from theBBQ.
• Never touch hot parts of theBBQ without oven mitts/gloves.
• Do not move theBBQ when it is lit, it can become veryhot.
• Open thelid carefully. Flames can erupt when thelid is opened as more oxygen is
introduced.
• Drops of grease or fat from food can cause flames. Keepaspray bottle filled with
water close by to dampen any unwanted flames.
• Never try to relight thebarbecue using petrol, meths or other accelerants.
• Use only approved electric lighters.
Do not fuel thebarbecue withwood. Theexcessive heat generated will ruin
theenamel coating.
Afteruse
• Caution – let theBBQ cool completely before emptying theashes into atight-
sealing metal container. Neverdump ashes directly into therubbishbin.
Someundetected embers may remain.
• If you wish to extinguish thecoals before they have fully combusted, put thelid
on theBBQ and close theairvents. Donot leave theBBQ unattended until it has
completely cooleddown.
• TheBBQ must be completely extinguished and cold before putting it away for
storage.
