Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct and then save
it for future reference. Wereserve theright for any errors in text or images and any
necessary changes made to technicaldata. In theevent of technical problems or

Safety
• Toast can start to burn, so theproduct should not be placed
close to or beneath flammable materials such as curtains.
• Never use theproduct together with atimer switch, multi-
socket extension lead or similar device.
• Unplug themains lead and let theproduct cool before
cleaningit. Iftheproduct has acrumb tray it should be
emptied and cleaned regularly. Useasoft, damp cloth to
clean thehousing. Neveruse solvents or abrasive cleaning
agents.
• Theproduct may be used by children of 8 years and above
and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capability or lack of experience and knowledge provided they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of theproduct in asafe way and understand thehazards
involved.
• Never let children play with theproduct. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are
older than 8 and supervised.
• Keep theproduct and its mains lead out of reach of children
under theage of 8.
• Place theproduct on aflat, fire resistant and durable surface.
• Remove all packaging beforeuse.

• Do not place theproduct where there is arisk of it falling into
water or other liquid.
• Ensure that theproduct is used with thecorrect voltage.
Referto therating plate on theproduct.
• Make sure that thelead does not come in contact with hot
surfaces such as cookerhobs.
• Theproduct should only be used as described in this manual.
• Keep in mind that theproduct may get hot duringuse.
• Keep aneye on theproduct if you are using it close to children.
• Never insert cutlery, tools or other foreign objects into
theproduct.
• Always unplug theproduct from thewall socket before
cleaning it or when it is not to be used for alongtime.
• Never subject theproduct to knocks orblows.
• Do not pull or carry theproduct by its mainslead. Donot use
thelead as ahandle and do not let it fasten in doorjambs.
Donot pull thelead around sharp corners oredges.
• This product is only intended to be used and stored indoors.
• Do not use theproduct if themains lead or its plug is damaged.
Donot use theproduct if you have dropped it on thefloor,
leftit outdoors or dropped it intowater.
• Do not open thehousing. Certain components inside
thecasing carry dangerous electrical current. Contact with
these components could result in electricshock.
• This product should only be repaired by aqualified service
technician.
• Theproduct must not be taken apart or modified.
• If theproduct should start to emit smoke, switch it off
immediately and pull theplug out of thewall socket.

Operating instructions
Note:
• Only use appropriately sized bread slices. Neverattempt to toast bread with any
kind of filling, bread which crumbles when handled or any other kind of bread
which is likely to get stuck inside thetoaster.
• Thefirst time you use thetoaster you might detect asmell emitted by theheating
element. Thisodour is normal and will soon disappear. Youcan try operating
thetoaster acouple of times without any bread init.

1. Connect themains lead to a220–240 V powerpoint.
2. Insert theslices of bread into thetoastingslots.
3. Choose thedesired browning level, 1(lightest) to 6(darkest).
4. Press theleverdown. Toasting will begin and the [CANCEL] button light will
comeon.
5. When toasting is complete, thebread will pop up automatically and thetoasting
lever will return to its original position.
6. Thebrowning control can be adjusted as desired. Donot adjust thebrowning
control whilst toasting is in progress. Pressthe [CANCEL] button first and then
turn thebrowning control knob to re-adjust. Thenresume toasting with thenew
setting.
Note: Thetop of thetoaster can become veryhot.
Reheating previously toastedbread
1. Connect themains lead to a220–240 V powerpoint.
2. Insert theslices of toast into thetoastingslots.
3. Press theleverdown.
4. Press [REHEAT ].
5. Thetoast will be reheated for ashortwhile. Keepaneye on thetoast to make sure
that it does notburn. Cancel thereheating function by pressing [CANCEL] or wait
until thetoasting lever returns to its original starting position.
Defrosting frozen bread slices
1. Connect themains lead to a220–240 V powerpoint.
2. Insert thefrozen bread slices into thetoastingslots.
3. Press theleverdown.
4. Press [DEFROST].
5. When defrosting is complete, thebread will pop up automatically and thetoasting
lever will return to its original position.
Care and maintenance
• Clean thetoaster using alightly moistenedcloth. Useonly mild cleaning agents,
never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Empty and clean thecrumb tray regularly.
• Always unplug thetoaster from thepower point when it is not inuse.

Användning
Obs!
• Använd endast bröd av lämplig storlek. Försök aldrig rosta bröd med någon slags
fyllning, bröd som fallit sönder eller brödsorter som på annat sätt är olämpliga.
• Första gångerna du använder brödrosten kan den avge enviss lukt från värme-
elementen. Dettaär helt normalt och försvinner snabbt. Dukan prova att köra
brödrosten utan bröd ettpar gånger och sedan lägga ibröd.
