Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct and then save

Safety

• Make sure that you have read and understood theentire instruction manual

before using theproduct. Incorrect use of theproduct can lead to electric shock,

explosion and ﬁre which in turn may result in serious injury, death or property

damage.

• Theproduct must only be used as described in this instruction manual.

• Do not use theproduct if it or any of thecables is damaged in anyway.

• Do not use theproduct if it is excessively hot, emitting smoke or anunusual odour

or is operating abnormally.

• Never immerse theproduct in water or other liquid.

• Do not expose theproduct to rain, humidity, impacts or shocks.

• If theproduct becomes wet during use, disconnect it from thecar battery

immediately and do not use it again until it has been inspected by qualiﬁed service

personnel.

• Only use theproduct with parts and accessories approved by themanufacturer

orretailer.

• Keep thebattery leads away from hot or moving engineparts. Contact with such

parts could result in injury ordeath.

• Do not use theproduct on unmonitored, incompatible or damaged batteries;

theycan explode.

• Disconnect theproduct immediately if thebattery to which it is connected

becomes excessivelyhot.

• Never attempt to jump start afrozen battery.

• Only use theproduct with 12V lead-acid batteries. Neverattempt to use

theproduct with any other types of batteries.

• Never use theproduct if you are at all unsure which type of battery your carhas.

• Only operate theproduct in well-ventilatedareas.

• Theproduct emits heat and is capable of causingburns.

• Never cover theproduct.

• Do not smoke when using theproduct and keep it away from any sources of

sparks and naked ﬂames.

• Keep theproduct away from combustible materials.

• Never try to open thecasing.

• Never attempt to tamper with or modify theproduct in anyway.

• Always wear eye protection when using theproduct. Batteries can explode and

cause ﬂying debris. Battery acid can cause eye and skin irritation. Incase of

contact with battery acid, ﬂush thearea immediately with clean running water and

seek medical attention.

• Working with and around lead-acid batteries is dangerous. Readall thesafety

instructions provided by themanufacturer of your car battery. Readall

theinformation regarding theuse of any equipment intended to be used with

thebattery and information regarding how thebattery in your car should be

charged. Payattention to any warning labels on thebattery and thecar.

Personal safety

• Make sure that there is someone within earshot who can help you in case of

anemergency.

• Have asupply of soap and water close in case of contact with batteryacid.

• Always wear safety goggles and suitable protective clothing while working with

acar battery.

• Always wash your hands after working with acar battery and related materials.

• Keep all metal tools, watches and jewellery away from thebattery. Metalobjects

which come into contact with battery terminals can create sparks or short-circuit

thebattery resulting in electric shock, explosion orﬁre. Thiscan in turn lead to

serious injury, death or property damage.

• Theproduct may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and

knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning

use of theproduct in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.

• Never let children play with theproduct.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Battery charge is indicated as follows:

- 4 indicators lit: battery fully charged, 100%

- 3 indicators lit: battery charged to 75%

- 2 indicators lit: battery charged to 50%

- 1 indicator lit: battery charged to 25%

The battery needs charging when only 1 indicator is lit.

5. The LED indicator that shows reversed polarity or whether the jump starter is too

hot or cold (operating temperature −20 to +50 °C).

- Shines steadily: the jump starter has been connected to the battery incorrectly.

- Flashes: the jump starter is too hot or too cold.

Operating instructions

Note: This jump starter is only intended for use with 12 V lead-acid batteries.

Charging the jump starter

1. Connect theincluded charger cable

(11) to thecharger port (8) and to

thecharger(12).

2. Connect thecharger to awall socket.

3. TheLED indicators (4) show

how thecharging is progressing.

Whenthebuilt-in jump starter batteries

are fully charged anLED indicator will

shine steadily, see theﬁgure.

Jump starting

1. First make sure that thecar has a12V electrical system. Referto thecar

handbook for details and instructions for jump starting.

2. Connect thejump leads to theport (6) on thejump starter.

3. Connect thejump leads to therespective battery terminals, red (+) and black (−).

4. Press [BOOST]. The LED indicator for the BOOST function (3) lights and the LED

indicators (4) ﬂash to show that the jump starter is ready to provide the vehicle

battery with power when an attempt is made to start the engine.

5. After afew seconds thejump starter sends current to thecar battery and

thevehicle can be started.

6. Disconnect thejump starter from thecar battery as soon as thevehicle has started.

Note:

• Thejump starter will only deliver astarting current when it has been connected

to thecar battery correctly and [BOOST] has been pressed. If [BOOST] is

pressed when thejump starter is not connected to acar battery, no current will

bedelivered.

• Thejump starter cannot deliver current to acar battery which is so discharged that

theoutput voltage is below 6V.

Charging electronic devices such as mobile phones and tablets

1. Make sure thebatteries in thejump starter are fully charged.

2. Connect thecharger cable of thedevice to be charged to thecharger port (9).

Thedevice will start charging.

3. Remember to recharge thejump starter afterwards so that it is ready in case you

need it to start yourcar.

Torch/SOS signal

1. Hold in [ ] until thetorch comeson. The LED indicators (4) show the battery status.

2. Press thebutton once to start theSOS signal. Thelight will emit 3 short ﬂashes

followed by 3 long ﬂashes followed by 3 short ﬂashes to represent anSOS signal.

3. Press thebutton again to switch off theSOS signal.

Thejump starter has thefollowing safety features. Besides having abuilt-in deep

discharge protection thejump starter batteries will not be damaged if theyare:

• Overheated.

• Are connected to acar battery at thesame time as they are being charged.

Youcannot charge thejump starter at thesame time as it is beingused.

• Connected thewrong way (reversed polarity).

• Connected to thewrong type of vehicle battery.

Care and maintenance

• Wipe thejump starter clean with adry cloth as and when required.

• Store theproduct in adry, dust-free environment out of thechildren’s reach

whenever it is not to be used for alongtime.

Responsible disposal

This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of

with general householdwaste. Thisapplies throughout theentire

EU. Inorder to prevent any harm to theenvironment or health

hazards caused by incorrect waste disposal, theproduct must be

handed in for recycling so that thematerial can be disposed of in

aresponsible manner. Whenrecycling your product, take it to your

local collection facility or contact theplace of purchase. Theywill

ensure that theproduct is disposed of in anenvironmentally

soundmanner.

kringutrustning.

• Håll alla metallföremål som verktyg, nycklar, klockor, smyckenetc. på avstånd från

det batteri du hanterar. Metallföremål som kommer ikontakt med batteriets poler

kan skapa gnistor eller orsaka kortslutning med elektrisk stöt, explosion eller brand

somföljd. Dettakan isin tur leda till allvarlig personskada, dödsfall eller skada på

egendom.

• Produkten får användas av barn från 8 år och av personer med någon form av

funktionsnedsättning, brist på erfarenhet eller kunskap som skulle kunna äventyra

säkerheten, om de har fått instruktioner om hur produkten på ettsäkert sätt ska

användas och förstår faror och risker som kan uppkomma
