Safety
- Always use a residual current device (RCD or RCCB) which trips at <30 mA
between the pump and the power supply.
- Always inspect the pump before using it, especially the power lead and plug.
Never use the pump if it is damaged.
- If the mains lead is damaged it must only be replaced by a qualied technician.
Contact our Customer Service Department.
- Make sure that any electrical connections (extension lead, RCD, etc.) are placed in
a dry place and protected from water.
- Do not expose the mains lead to extreme heat, oil or sharp edges.
- The pump is not designed for continuous use.
- Protect the pump from frost.
- The pump is suitable for pumping clean or muddy water with a maximum particle
size of 35 mm (swimming pool water or washing water). Bear in mind that sand and
other abrasive substances in the liquid that is pumped will increase the wear and
tear and reduce the capacity of the pump.
- The pump must never be used in a swimming pool or bath if people or animals are
still in the water.
- The pump is waterproof and submersible to a depth of max. 8 m.
- Make sure that the pressure head does not exceed 9 m.
- The pump must not be used in corrosive, ammable or explosive liquids such
as petrol, kerosene or thinners. Neither must the pump be used for grease, oil,
saltwater, urine or toilet sewage water.
- The temperature of the pumped liquid must not be greater than 35˚C.
- Dry-running should be avoided, as this soon wears the pump out. Turn the pump off
as soon as water has stopped coming out of the hose.
- Avoid running the pump with the discharge outlet closed for more than ten minutes.
- The pump has a built-in thermal motor protection and automatically shuts off when
it overheats. The motor starts again automatically when the motor has cooled.
- If chlorinated water, such as swimming pool water, has been pumped, clean water
should be pumped afterwards to rinse out the pump.
The pump is intended for domestic use; in the home and garden. Suitable use:
- Emptying containers
- Transporting liquids
- Pumping water from springs and barrels
- Bilge pumping boats
- Circulating water for limited periods

Before Use
Hose Connection
Connect the supplied universal hose union to the outlet (f). The universal hose union
is tted with a 3 mm (1¼") and 5 mm (1") diameter barbed hose connectors and a
1" male threaded hose connector.
If the 3 mm barbed hose connector or the 1" threaded connector are to be used, the
end of the nipple should be cut off as shown in the gure.
Adjusting the Float Switch
The oat switch (c) automatically starts the pump when the water level reaches approx.
50 cm and shuts it off when the water level drops to approx. 5 cm. The operation of the
oat switch can be adjusted by adjusting the position of the oat cable in the clip (c).
- Shorten the cable length between the clip (C) and the oat (B) if you want to start
from a lower water level.
- Lengthen the cable length between the clip (C) and the oat (B) if you want to start
from a higher water level.
Positioning and Transportation
- The pump should be placed in a stable position (especially automatic pumps).
- The oat (3) must be free to move (especially on automatic pumps).
- The inlet must not be blocked in any way; the pump should therefore be placed on
a level surface.
- Do not use the mains lead or oat to lift or carry the pump. Always use a rope tied
to the handle when lowering or raising the pump.

Use
Automatic Operation
When the mains lead has been connected to a wall socket the pump will be automati-
cally switched on and off by the oat switch.
Manual Operation
Tie up the oat and switch the pump on/off by either using the switch on the wall socket,
if it has one, or by pulling the plug out of the wall socket. Do not let the pump run dry.
Care and Maintenance
As a rule submersible pumps are maintenance-free but might need cleaning
occasionally.
1. Remove the base foot (D) by unscrewing the six screws (G).
. Remove any dirt or residue on or around the impeller (H) using warm water.
3. Reattach the base foot. Make sure that the rubber washer is in place between the
pump and the base foot.
Note: Never run the pump with the base foot removed. Never overload the impeller by
standing the pump on the impeller when the base foot is removed.

Troubleshooting Guide
Problem Possible Cause Possible solution
The pump runs but
doesn’t pump.
- Air in pump, outlet is

- Clean the hose, straighten
any kinks, etc.
- Wait 60 seconds until the
pump is purged of air, switch
it off and then start it again.
- Unscrew the base (d) and
remove any dirt or residue
from the impeller.
- Place the pump lower in the
water.
The pump won’t start
or stops under load.
- The thermal protection
device has tripped.
- No power supply.
- Dirt in the pump.
- Unplug and clean the pump
Remember that the max
liquid temperature is 35˚C.
- Check fuses and RCD.
- Unscrew the base (d) and
remove any dirt or residue
from the impeller.
The pump runs but
the volume pumped
falls suddenly.
- Pump is blocked. - Unscrew the base (e) and
remove any dirt or residue
from the impeller.
Pump doesn’t stop
when water level has
sunk.
- The oat is prevented
from falling.
- Place the pump so that the
oat can move freely.

Säkerhet
- Anslut alltid pumpen via en jordfelsbrytare som löser ut vid <30 mA felström.

Använd aldrig pumpen om den är skadad.
- Om nätsladden skadas får den endast bytas av kvalicerad personal. Kontakta

- Se till att elanslutningar (skarvuttag, jordfelsbrytare etc.) är placerade på torr plats,
skyddade vid ev. översvämning.
- Utsätt inte nätsladden för stark värme, olja, eller vassa kanter.
- Pumpen är inte konstruerad att användas kontinuerligt.
- Skydda pumpen mot frost.
- Pumpen är lämplig till att pumpa rent eller grumligt vatten med en partikelstorlek
på max. 35 mm, swimmingpoolvatten eller tvättvatten. Tänk på att sand eller andra
slipande material i vätskan som pumpas ger ökat slitage och reducerad kapacitet.
- Pumpen får aldrig användas i swimmingpool eller bassäng om människor eller djur
benner sig i vattnet.
- Pumpen är vattenskyddad och sänkbar till ett djup på max. 8 m.
- Kontrollera att tryckhöjden inte överskrider 9 m.
- Pumpen får inte användas till frätande, brännbara eller explosiva vätskor som t.ex.
bensin, fotogen eller förtunning. Ej heller får pumpen användas till fetter, oljor,
saltvatten, urin eller avloppsvatten från toalett.
- Temperaturen på vätskan som pumpas får inte överstiga 35 ºC.
- Torrkörning ska undvikas eftersom det leder till snabb förslitning. Stäng omedelbart
av pumpen när vattnet slutar rinna ur slangen.
- Undvik att köra pumpen mot stängt utlopp i mer än 10 minuter.
- Pumpen har ett inbyggt termiskt motorskydd och stängs automatiskt av när den blir
överhettad. Motorn startar automatiskt när den har svalnat.
- Om du har pumpat klorerat vatten, t.ex. till swimmingpool, bör du pumpa rent vatten
efteråt för att skölja ur pumpen.
Pumpen är avsedd att användas för privat bruk i hem och trädgård.
Lämpliga användningsområden är:
- Tömning av behållare
- Transport av vätskor
- Pumpning av vatten från källor och trummor
- Länspumpning av båtar
- Vattencirkulation under begränsad tid

Före användning
Anslutning av slangen
Anslut den medföljande universalslanganslutning till utloppet (F). Till universalslangan-
slutningen kan du ansluta en slang med diameter 3 mm (1 1/") eller 5 mm (1"), eller
få en utvändig 1" gänga.
Används 3 mm slanganslutningen eller 1" gänganslutningen skall nippeln kapas som
bilden visar.
Justering av flottören
Flottören (B) startar automatiskt pumpen vid en vattennivå på ca 50 cm och stänger av
när vattennivån når ca 5 cm. Du kan justera start- och stoppnivån genom att ytta ot-
törkabeln i låsningen (C).
- Förkorta kabellängden mellan låsningen (C) och ottören (B) om du önskar lägre
startnivå.
- Förläng kabellängden mellan låsningen (C) och ottören (B) om du önskar högre
startnivå.
Placering och transport
- Pumpen ska placeras i en stabil position (gäller särskilt vid automatisk drift).
- Flottören (B) måste vara rörlig (gäller särskilt vid automatisk drift).
- Inloppet får inte blockeras på något vis, placera därför pumpen på ett plant
underlag.
- Använd inte nätsladden eller ottören till att lyfta eller bära pumpen. Använd alltid
ett rep som är fäst i handtaget när du ska sänka eller lyfta pumpen.
