This function causes the unit to ignore short,

accidental button presses.

The HOLD function prevents the following :

The unit is powered on accidentally when not

in use, causing the batteries to run down.

A button is accidentally pressed during play,

interrupting the operation.

To use the HOLD function

Set HOLD to the HOLD position.

When the unit is in hold mode:

The "hold" indicator will be shown on the LCD

display. If a button is pressed no changes will

occur to the player.

If the unit it turned on in HOLD mode:

The player will display the locked screen on

the LCD display and then power off.

Before using this item, make sure you have

the minimum system requirements needed to

download MP3 music files from the computer.

Data files such as pictures, documents or

applications can also be downloaded and stored

in the unit for a fast, safe and high-speed

mobile data storage use.

Minimum System Requirement

Windows : Microsoft Windows 98,

Windows 98SE, Windows Me,

Windows 2000 Professional

Windows XP or above

Hardware : Pentium MMX 200 or above

30MB free hard disk space

One available USB port

4x CD-ROM or higher

MacintoshOS : MacOS 9

Mac Hardware :30MB free hard disk space

One available USB port

4x CD-ROM or higher

Install Software

For Windows

Insert the Installation CD into the CD-ROM

driver. If the Setup program does not run

automatically, do steps 2 through 3.

Otherwise, skip to step 4.

Click Start -> Run

In the Run dialog, type D:\SETUP.EXE

(where D:\ is your CD-ROM drive) and click

OK.

Setting Up the Player

The Set Up main screen will be displayed.

To install the driver and application for

this unit, click NEXT

Follow the instructions on the screen. Click

on the Right Arrow button to start

installation. Continue to click the Right

Arrow or Yes button if you want to install

by default (recommended). Otherwise

please change your option to install

manually.(Simply Bypass Logo Testing

Message-Choose ”Continue” if prompted

this question under Windows XP/2K/ME)

If prompted to restart your system, remove

the Installation CD from the CD ROM and

keep it in a secure place. After removing

CD select YES, I want to restart my

computer, continue with the Finish button.

Insert the Installation CD into the CD-ROM

drive.

Double-click on the icon of the CD-ROM

drive on the desktop

Open the Mac_OS folder in CD-ROM drive

and open the packed file

In the dialogue window, create a new folder

on hard disc and continue.

Open the new folder and double-click on

"install and setup"

Follow the instructions on the screen.

When prompted to restart your system,

remove the Installation CD from the CD

ROM and keep it in a secure place. After

removing CD select click the RESTART

button.

Connect to PC

Connection

The battery must be in the player.

Position the PC so that its USB Ports can

be easily accessed.

(Note : The USB port(s) may be found on

the front panel or elsewhere instead of the

back panel. Refer to your PC dealer for

support if necessary. )

Plug the flat USB connector of the bundled

USB cable to the PC.

Plug the square connector of the USB cable

to the unit.

Press Play button to turn the unit on.

USB IDLE will appear on LCD of the unit.

Install and Update

System will detect the new hardware exists

in your system and install each of them

automatically.

Upon the driver installation is completed,

run the Play Update utility that is now

available in the start menu of your Windows

system.

You need not switch off your computer when

you connect the unit to the PC since USB is Plug-and-Play.

For Windows Users

Setting Up the Player

Computer will detect new hardwares and

install them automatically. Untitled Disk

(F:) will appear on desktop.

Untitled Disk (F:) implies the built-in flash

memory (128 MB) of the MP3 Flash Player. .

Verify Correct Installation of the unit

The player is ready to use when the Player

Update is complete. To check if the MP3 Flash

Player has been properly installed on your

system, double-click the MY COMPUTER

icon on the desktop of your computer.

You will observe your MP3 Flash Player shows

up as Removable Disk (F:) drives in Windows.

Removable Disk (F:) implies the built-in flash

memory (128 MB) of the MP3 Flash Player.

For Macintosh Users

If you are using Windows Me,Windows 2000 ,Windows

XP, please do follow the Windows Instructions to

disconnect the player. Once you connect the player

to PC, you may observe there is one icon appearing

in right of the Taskbar.

When you are going to disconnect the player, double-

click on this icon, and click on the Stop button in the

"Remove Hardware Device" dialog window. And click

on OK button when asked which device to be stopped.

The "Safely Remove Hardware" window appears to

tell you that now it is safe to remove the player. Now

you can disconnect the player from computer safely.

If you disconnect the player not following the

instructions in Windows Me,Windows 2000 and

Windows XP, it may cause damage to the data or file.

Connect to PC

The unit is a handy device for data storage. No

specific software is needed to upload, download

or erase MP3 or data files.

Select MP3 files and right click on the files.

(If you want to select more than one file,

press and hold Ctrl key and click on the other

files.)

Select Copy in right click menu.

Double-click on Removable Disk(F:) to open.

Right-click on blank and select Paste

Copying window appears.

Do not unplug the unit with your computer

while accessing until displays USB IDLE.

(a) Select MP3 music file(s);

(b) Drag and drop the file(s) to the Untitled

Disc(F:)icon

Do not unplug the unit from your computer

whiles accessing files, until the display shows

USB IDLE

(i) Experienced users may drag and drop the

selected file(s) to the Removable disk.

(ii) The memory capacity of the removable

disk may seem to be different with the

actual capacity size of the unit due to

diferent calculate method issue.

It is forbidden to unplug the USB cable while the unit

is accessing with computer (the LCD displays [USB

READING ] or [UWB WRITING]),Because it may

cause serious damage to the unit or computer system.

It is strongly recommended to unplug the cable ONLY

while the LCD display [USB IDLE]
