of theair hose to theair inlet nipple on
theimpact wrench.
Connection to the air supply system
a) This tool must only be connected to aclean, filtered and dry air supply which
provides anair pressure at thetool of 6.3 bar (90 psi). Warning: Too high apressure
will reduce thelifespan of thetool and could cause serious personal injuries.
b) Connect thetool to theair supply using ahose designed for high pressure air.
c) Fit aquick-connect coupling in theair hose and aregular inlet nipple onto theimpact
wrench. Do not attach aquick-connect coupling to theimpact wrench itself, as this
would retain pressure in thetool even when theair hose has been disconnected.
d) In order for thetool to work at its full capacity, theair compressor must provide
thetool with at least thetool’s rated air consumption.
e) Only use air hoses of therecommended dimension and length. Do not connect
thetool to theair compressor without incorporating aneasy to reach and operate
air cut-off valve.
f) Make sure that any water which has condensed in thetank of theair compressor
or theair hoses is emptied out regularly to prevent water being delivered into
thetool. Water in thesystem could freeze in thehose or cause thetool to rust.
Motor and impact mechanism lubrication
Themotor and theimpact mechanism are lubricated with grease
from thefactory but might need to be lubricated further if theimpact
is used daily. Add 4–5 drops of oil designed for air tools and
machines into theair coupling nipple on theimpact wrench before
connecting theair hose. Repeat after every 3–4 hours of use.
Run theimpact wrench for afew seconds under no load with
arag over theexhaust port to catch any excess oil.

• When doing up nuts/bolts using animpact wrench, atorque bar (sold separately)
with thecorrect torque setting should be inserted between theimpact wrench and
theimpact socket, otherwise thenut/bolt might be overtightened and damage
thefastener and/or thematerial it is fastening.
• When fitting wheels onto vehicles afinal check of thewheel nut/bolt torque should
always be made using atorque wrench.
1. Screw thewheel nuts/bolts in place by hand at least 3 complete turns in order to
prevent damaging thethreads when they are tightened using theimpact wrench.
