System overview
Comelit art. HUB32LCD is a wireless intruder alarm control panel for use in residential applications and in small- and medium-
sized commercial applications. It has a 16 x 2-character display and a Capsense keypad which allows rapid navigation of the
installer and user menus.
A fundamental advantage of art. HUB32LCD lies in its easy installation and programming: a built-in installation wizard allows
quick system startup, even without using a PC. The programming tools include Windows-based software with configuration
level selection and an integrated text menu.
Featuring native support for Internet and cloud connection via built-in WiFi and LAN, art. HUB32LCD uses cloud-based
communication for configuration and remote use, without requiring port forwarding on the router.
Communication between the control panel and the wireless devices takes place by means of a secure and encrypted two-way
protocol which makes it possible to constantly monitor message transmission eciency.
In addition to the built-in keypad and the two-way remote controls, users can fully manage art. HUB32LCD using Comelit app,
the application for mobile devices (iOS and Android platforms) which also utilises all the system video verification functions if
IP cameras are installed in the network. Up to four HD IP cameras can be recorded continuously to capture CCTV relating to
events, including 10 seconds of pre-event recording. Live streaming of cameras is also available on the app (MAX 16 cameras).
Thanks to the built-in loudspeaker and microphone, art. HUB32LCD oers two-way audio communication for personal use
or audio verification of alarms using the 2G or 3G module. For greater usability, voice messages can be enabled for the main
system procedures.
A full set of event signalling channels is provided to satisfy all requirements, including push notifications with video verification,
e-mail and IP-based digital protocols for alarm receipt control panels. When a 2G or 3G GSM module is installed, SMS, voice
calls and digital audio protocols are also available.
A wide range of wireless devices is available to satisfy all installation requirements. Refer to the pages below for details of
available products.

Choosing the correct mounting position
Connecting/replacing the battery
When choosing the correct mounting position for the control panel, take the following factors into account.
Functional factors:
• When the control panel is on and running, a wireless network is generated: avoid fitting the control panel near sources of
RF electromagnetic disturbance, such as large electrical appliances or air conditioners.
• The control panel should be located in a central position in relation to the wireless peripherals (sensors, sirens).
• Avoid positioning the control panel near large metal objects or surfaces.
• Radio frequency transmission is adversely aected by metal-based building materials; consider the option of minimising
this type of obstruction.
• Depending on the communication channels you intend to use, the control panel should be fitted so as to oer good GSM
or WiFi signal strength.
• You will need to consider the availability of electricity mains and Ethernet connections.
Safety factors:
• The control panel should be fitted so that access while it is armed activates at least one detection zone.
• Install the control panel in a place that cannot be seen from outside the monitored areas.
• Keep it out of reach of children, to avoid unforeseen and unintentional operation.
Usability factors
• The control panel should be mounted at a height between 1.2 m and 1.8 m.
• Avoid installing the control panel behind doors or other obstacles which could cause delays in using it.
Once the battery has been replaced, the control panel should be reconnected to the backplate immediately so that it can start
up using the main power supply and not just the battery.
Observe local regulations for correct battery disposal.
