Dear Customer:

Thank you for purchasing your equipment from Component Playgrounds!!! We are proud of our

commercial grade products made for kids of all ages & sizes, and we are confident that you will enjoy

your equipment for many years.

Because you have purchased a top of the line commercial grade product, you will need to be

aware of some specific shipping requirements that may be different from shipments you have received in

the past through other delivery companies (such as UPS), and you should follow the guidelines below

carefully.

1. In most cases your product will arrive via common carrier truck line directly to your home with

curbside delivery only. This means the driver will facilitate the offloading of the shipment at the curb, or

most reasonable place near the curb and your house. You are then responsible to have someone

physically capable to help unload the product upon delivery and note the condition of the product

as per below instructions.

2. Your product may arrive on a pallet and upon delivery—locate the packing list (usually

attached to the hardware box & orange & black in color) and verify that each piece listed is with the

shipment. *** Please disregard any delivery driver stated “time crunches” or “needs to leave

quickly” and inspect the product to your satisfaction = this is your product so make sure it is all

there in good condition or noted properly before the driver leaves.***

3. If there are any parts/pieces missing, note this directly on the delivery receipt BEFORE you

sign and receive your copy of the receipt, with wording such as “missing xyz part” etc. Note: some

shipments will have more than one pallet so check both before noting missing.

4. Similar to #3 above, also note the condition of the pieces and if any parts have been damaged

in shipping note this directly on the delivery receipt BEFORE you sign and get your copy from the driver

(in particular inspect slides for damage).

5. If your shipment appears to have damage and /or missing pieces, a freight claim must be fi led

with the freight company w/in two business days. Component Playgrounds will assist you with this

process if it is necessary. Contact the shipping manager toll free @ 877-530-0222 for claims assistance.

6. Ask your driver to sign or initial the freight slip acknowledging any damage or discrepancies.

7. Get a copy of the signed delivery receipt from your delivery driver BEFORE he leaves.

8. If you are concerned or don’t know what you should do with a certain situation regarding the

shipment, please call the shipping manager toll free @ 877-530-0222 before the driver leaves.

All shortages and damaged items are the sole responsibility of the carrier. You are responsible to

notify Component Playgrounds of any shortages or damage relating to your shipment w/in 2 business

days of receipt of your equipment. After this time, any claim for shortage or loss cannot be honored.

Component Playgrounds cannot be responsible for replacement of any parts, missing or

damaged, that have not been properly noted on the delivery receipt. Component Playgrounds

cannot be responsible for damaged or missing pieces due to the fault of, or loss by the freight

company.

PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING

*Before digging, please obey local laws by notifying your local utilities marking

organization*

1. Select an area in your yard that is reasonably level and meets the space requirement

for your equipment. Ground Space: 18’ x 12’. Play Space: 22’ x 24’.

2. Please refer to the outrigger assembly sheet and assemble your outrigger as

instructed.

3. Position the Outrigger (see outrigger assembly page) about 12’ from the selected

spot where you want the unit to finally stand. Using a tape measure and marker,

mark location of the swing hangers and the ladder along the outrigger. (see top

view on assembly and installation instructions for measurements.)

4. Assemble swing hangers (see swing hanger assembly sheet) and attach securely to

the outrigger. Hint: Only attach the three swing hangers that will be on the inside of

the ladder and the A frame legs.

5. Using the hammer, install the plug into the open end of the outrigger.

6. Locate position in your yard where the upright ladder will stand. Dig the hole for the

ladder (see Installation Instructions page #1). Lay the ladder onto the ground with

the bottom of the ladder laying just over the hole where it will finally stand. Hint: Be

sure to situate the ladder so that when the unit is finally standing the rungs and the

third leg bolt will be facing as desired in your space.

7. Turn the outrigger onto its side on the ground. Slide the outrigger into the sleeve at

the top of the ladder and position it to the marks previously made. (see Installation

Instruction page #3). Loosely install set screws into the top of the ladder sleeve.

Bolt “A” frame legs into place (see installation instructions page #2).

8. Using two strong adults, stand the swing frame up, allowing the ladder to fall into

the hole previously dug. (Note: set will not be level at this point.) At this point,

check to make sure that the outrigger is still in its proper place inside the ladder top

sleeve. Adjust as necessary by holding onto the ladder securely and pushing or

pulling the “A” frame section causing the outrigger to slide inside the top sleeve.

When you are satisfied that the outrigger is in the proper position, securely tighten

the set screws in the top sleeve of the ladder.

9. With the ladder still standing in its hole, situate the “A” frame end to the desired

position in the play area. Determine location of the “A” frame legs and mark the

holes. Move the legs out of the way and dig the holes. (Keep most of the hole to the

inside of the leg). Place the legs into the holes.

10. Measure from about the middle of the outrigger to the ground. This measurement

should be 10’. Determine the level of the swing set by using the level along the

length of the top rail. Remove from, or add soil to the holes as necessary to put the

unit to the correct height and to make it level.

11. Slide 3rd leg sleeve onto the top rail that is sleeved into the outside of the 10’

ladder.

12. Measure 5 ½’ - 6’ away from the 10’ Upright Ladder to mark and dig the hole for

the Third Leg (see #1B hole sizes for cementing).

13. Before installing the third leg, locate the third leg. Insert ⅜” x 3½” Hex Bolt and

loosely thread ⅜” Nut into the bottom hole. Nut will not thread all the way on and

bolt will be loose. (This is to act as an anchor in the concrete and does not need to

be tight.)

14. Install Third Leg by dropping the end into the hole and sliding the top into the 3rd

leg sleeve. Use the 3/8” x 2 3/4” hex bolt and 3/8” nyloc nut. Then secure 3rd leg

with set screw on under side. (see diagram #4) When properly positioned, secure

the set screws in the top of the 3rd leg sleeve.

15. Determine location of turning bar hole by placing the turning bar up to the ladder.

Mark and dig the hole. Attach the turning bar to the ladder. Check and adjust the

level of the turning bar. (See #4 fire pole and turning bar assembly.)

16. Mix concrete according to package directions and pour into the holes. (See

installation instructions page #1.) You will use approximately 6-7 80 pound bags in

the ladder hole and 1 ½ bags in each of the leg holes.

17. Allow the concrete to cure completely before you use your swing set (3-5 days).

18. Attach chains and swing seats and enjoy your Component Playground.

Top Rail Assembly

Step 1: Slide the undrilled end of the longer Top Rail as far as it will go into the

Sleeve of the Triple End.

Step 2: Slide the Swing Hangers and tighten onto the Top Rail during the Top Rail

Assembly process. (Refer to spacing diagram and graphic found above)

Step 3: Insert and tighten (4) 3/8” x 3/8” set screws into each of the Triple End

Sleeves using Allen Wrench provided.

Step 4: Slide smaller diameter part of shorter top rail into the open end of the

longer top rail which is already attached to triple end.

Step 5: Insert and tighten additional set screws to join top rails together
