Introduction
Connected IO Inc’s., ER2000T is a 4G - CAT1 router for M2M applications. The Router includes a 4G modem
with an embedded host processor based on the Mediatek MT7620A SoC and supports 802.11 b/g/n WiFi
functionality. The 4G connectivity is made by an operator certified LTE module.
This document provides instructions, and basic operational guidelines, to aid a Systems Administrator with
the deployment of this product.

1-LED On: -97 dBm to -107 dBm
No-LEDs: < -109 dBm

2. RS-232 Configuration
The serial port communication on ER2000T series is a bidirectional asynchronous mode transfer mechanism
with the following default settings:
Data Rate: 9600bps
Date bits, Parity, Stop bit: 8N1
Flow Control: No
2.1. Windows Platform Example
TeraTerm software was used to demonstrate this tutorial in Windows mode.
1. Open TeraTerm serial connection
2. SSH into ER2000 series
From the router command line, do, for example, "ifconfig > /dev/ttyS0" and see results of the output in tera
term on Windows side.

From tera term, type a few keys and they will appear on the router side when "cat /dev/ttyS0" command is
run.

2.2. Linux Platform Example:
Minicom software was used to demonstrate this tutorial in Linux.
1. Open minicom serial connection
2. SSH into ER2000 series
From the router command line, do, for example, "ifconfig > /dev/ttyS0" and see results of the output in
minicom on Linux side.
