Congratulations! You have purchased a Cooper ighting, C 300 watt Dusk to

Dawn floodlight. The PWT250PC is constructed with durable plastic and

should provide years of trouble free weatherproof service.

How it wo ks

Your Dusk to Dawn floodlight features daylight sensor that automatically turns

the light on at dusk and off at dawn.

What you need

• Screwdriver

• Punch

• Hammer

• Weatherproof silicone caulking

• Wire connectors

• (2) 150 watt (MAX) PAR 38 floodlight bulbs (A)

Note: This fixture was designed to work with up to 150 watt maximum PAR

Halogen flood bulbs. For improved energy efficiency, lower wattage PAR

Halogen flood bulbs may be used. Compact Fluorescent (CF ) bulbs contain

electronics which may interfere with the light-sensing function of your dusk to

dawn fixture and are not recommended.

What to know

PLEASE READ THESE IMP RTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTI NS.

• For outdoor use only.

• U and cU ISTED for use in wet locations.

• Fixture must be connected to a 120 Volt, 60 Hz power source

(any other connection voids warranty).

• Fixture should be mounted to a grounded junction box marked for use in

wet locations.

• Keep away from flammable objects. Do not position fixture within

one inch of any combustible materials.

• The bulb and fixture get extremely hot during use. Allow fixture to cool

completely before attempting to reposition fixture.

• Always replace bulb with the same wattage or lower wattage than included.

Installing a bulb of a higher wattage could create a fire hazard. Use of a

higher wattage bulb will void the warranty.

• Disassembly of your fixture will void the warranty.

• Fixture should be installed by persons with experience in household wiring or

by a qualified electrician. The electrical system, and the method of electrically

connecting the fixture to it, must be in accordance with the National Electrical

Code and building codes.

Installation inst uctions

CAUTI N: Always turn off power at fuse box or circuit breaker before

removing or installing any light fixture.

Step 1: This mounting plate has been designed to work with a variety of different

junction boxes. ine up the knockout holes in the mounting plate with

the screw locations in your junction box. Drill out the matching holes

in the mounting plate using an electric drill and a 1/8˝ drill bit or knock

out the holes with a punch and hammer.

Step 2: Take the gasket included with this mounting plate and position it

behind the mounting plate. ine up the screws in the mounting plate

with the appropriate hole pattern in the gasket and remove gasket

material in those holes.

Step 3: Connect lampholder wires to supply wires from house (white to white

and black to black) using wire connectors (not included).

Step 4: Attach the mounting plate to your junction box using the screws

included with your junction box, making sure that the gasket is properly

aligned and that all screws are tightly secured. To prevent moisture

from entering the junction box, apply a bead of silicone sealant around

the edge of the mounting plate where it attaches to the junction box.

WARNING: Do not touch fixture during use as the fixture housing gets

extremely hot. Turn off fixture and allow to cool before replacing bulb.

Aiming the light

oosen the knob on the side of the light housing. Tilt fixture head up or down

to desired position then retighten knob.

WARNING: Risk of fire/electric shock. Follow installation instructions

carefully.

Is there power to the fixture?

• Has the house circuit breaker tripped?

• Is the wall switch ON?

Is the bulb(s) plugged or screwed in completely?

• Is the bulb(s) good?

(Be careful not to overtighten)

Is the light sensor able to determine darkness?

• Cover light sensor with electricianʼs tape. Wait 2-3

min. to see if light turns on. If it does, the sensor

is receiving too much light.

Is the wiring to the unit loose?

• Cover light sensor with electricianʼs tape. Wait 2-3

min. to see if light turns on. If it does, fixture is

receiving reflected light. Partially cover the light

sensor to block out the reflected light.

Is the light sensor in a shaded area?

• Shine a flashlight into the light sensor for 2-3 min.

If the light turns off, the fixture is mounted in an

area that does not allow enough light to enter the

light sensor.

Is the light sensor good?

• Shine a flashlight into the light sensor for 2-3

min. If the light does not turn off, the light sensor

is bad. Contact customer service.

Two-yea limited wa anty

Cooper ighting, C (“the Company”) warrants this product (the “product”)

against defects in material or workmanship for a period of two years from date

of original purchase, and agrees to repair or, at the Companyʼs option, replace

a defective product without charge for either replacement parts or labor during

such time. This does not include labor to remove or install fixtures.

This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the product. A

purchasers receipt or other proof of date of original purchase acceptable to the

Company is required before warranty performance shall be rendered.

This warranty only covers product failure due to defects in materials or work-

manship which occurs in normal use. It does not cover the bulb or failure of the

product caused by accident, misuse, abuse, lack of reasonable care, alteration,

or faulty installation, subjecting the product to any but the specified electrical

service or any other failure not resulting from defects in materials or workmanship.

Damage to the product caused by separately purchased, non-Company brand

replacement bulbs and corrosion or discoloration of brass components are not

covered by this warranty.

There are no express warranties except as described above.

CONSEQUENTIA DAMAGES RESU TING FROM THE USE OF THE

PRODUCT OR ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY. A

tial damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above

exclusions or limitations may not apply to you.

No other warranty, written or verbal, is authorized by the Company. This

warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights

which vary from state to state.

To obtain warranty service, please write to Cooper ighting, C, 1121 Highway

74 South, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Enclose product model number and

problems you are experiencing, along with your address and telephone number.

You will then be contacted with a solution, or a Return Goods Authorization

number and full instructions for returning the product. All returned products

must be accompanied by a Return Goods Authorization Number issued by the

Company and must be returned freight prepaid. Any product received without

a Return Goods Authorization Number from the Company will be refused.

Cooper ighting, C is not responsible for merchandise damaged in transit.

Repaired or replaced products shall be subject to the terms of this warranty

and are inspected when packed. Evident or concealed damage that is made in

transit should be reported at once to the carrier making the delivery and a claim

filed with them.

amanecer-atardecer de 300 watt. El reflector PWT250PC está construido con

plástico muy duradero y le brindará muchos años de servicio a la intemperie sin

Cómo funciona

uso de bombillas fluorescentes compactas (CF ) porque tienen partes electróni-

cas que pueden interferir con las funciones de detección de luz de su accesorio

amancer/atardecer.

Inst ucciones de instalación

PRECAUCIÓN: Antes de desmontar o instalar cualquier artefacto de

iluminación, desconecte la alimentación eléctrica en la caja de fusibles

o interruptores automáticos.

Paso 1: Esta placa de montaje fue diseñada para trabajar con una variedad

de cajas de conexión diferentes. Alinee los orificios de los discos

removibles de la placa de montaje con las protuberancias de su caja

de conexión. Perfore los orificios coincidentes en la placa de montaje

usando un taladro eléctrico y una mecha de 3.2 mm (1/8˝) de pulgada

o remueva los discos con punzón y martillo.

Paso 2: Tome la junta incluida con esta placa de montaje y colóquela en

posición detrás de ella. Alinee los tornillos de la placa de montaje

tuercas aisladas para empalmes eléctricos.

iones, aplique un hilo de sellador de siliconas alrededor del borde de

Cooper ighting, C (“la Compañía”) garantiza este producto (“el producto”)

contra defectos relacionados con el material o la mano de obra durante un

reparar o, a elección de la Compañía, reemplazar un producto defectuoso sin

¿Está el sensor de luminosidad registrando luz reflejada?

• Cubra el sensor de luminosidad con cinta de electricista.

Espere de 2 a 3 minutos para ver si la luz se enciende.

Si lo hace, el portalámparas está recibiendo reflejos

de luz. Cubra parcialmente el fotosensor para bloquear

los reflejos.

¿Está el sensor de luminosidad en una zona donde hay

sombra?

• Dirija la luz de una linterna hacia el sensor de

luminosidad durante 2 a 3 minutos. Si la luz se

apaga, el portalámparas está colocado en un área

que no permite que llegue suficiente luz al sensor

de luminosidad.

¿Está funcionando el fotosensor?

• Apunte una linterna encendida al fotosensor durante

2 a 3 minutos. Si la luz no se apaga, el detector de

luz está malo. Contacte al departamento de atención

al cliente.
