Important Safety Notice
Do not mix up the transmitter unit (TX) and the receiver unit (RX), IR
blaster extension cable and IR receiver extension cable before
installation.
Please use high quality CAT5e/CAT6 or better cable for optimal
performance.
Do not expose this unit to rain, moisture and liquid.
Do not plug-in/out when it is working.
This kit is not compatible with HDBaseT products.
Please note that transmission distance will be different due to the
environment.
Do not repair the device or open the enclosure without professional
person guidance.
This kit is point to point and comes with a Transmitter and Receiver. It’s
not meant to work through routers or network switches.
Introduction
The HE-20IR provides long haul transmission of HDMI signal up to 330ft
(100m) over one CAT5e/CAT6 (or better) cable, while maintaining signal
strength and super audio and video quality. This kit supports resolutions up to
1920×1080p@60Hz and IR control with wide IR frequency between 20~60
KHz. You can control the source from the display’s location or control the
display from source’s location via IR pass-through function. Plug and play, no
user-adjustment is required. Its compact size makes it easy to be identified
and integrated in versatile application environment, including home theater,
videoconferencing, education market, house of worship, airport and more.

Connection Diagram

Connection Instruction
Step 1: Connect the Transmitter (T) to the Receiver (R) via one CAT5e/CAT6
or better cable.
Step 2: Connect the Transmitter (T) to the signal source.
Step 3: Connect the Receiver (R) to the display device.
Step 4: Plug the included USB TX Cable into the Transmitter (T) and power
on it.
Step 5: Plug the included USB RX Cable into the Receiver (R) and power on
it.
Step 6: Connect the IR blaster extension cable to the IR interface of USB TX.
Face the eye towards your HDMI device’s IR window.
Step 7: Connect the IR receiver extension cable to the IR interface of USB
RX.

Note
Please connect the USB cable to the power supply before using the IR
control.
When using the remote control function, please make sure its distance is
within 6 meters and without obstructions.
Incorrect placement of IR Receiver and IR Blaster cables may result in
cable failures. Please check carefully before plugging in the IR cables to
the respective IR sockets.

(Control to IR In of USB RX Cable) (Connect to IR Out of USB TX Cable)
IR blaster extension cable should plug in the IR port of USB TX cable,
and the IR receiver extension cable should plug in the IR port of USB RX
cable.
The emitter of IR blaster should as close as possible to the IR receiver
window of the signal source device.
The control signal will be better when your controller is pointed at the IR
receiver head directly.
When connected to control system, ensure the IR emitter is over against
the IR receiver’s raised side instead of its flat side.

Troubleshooting
1. How to deal with a weak or not working IR signal?
Make sure the IR blaster sensor is pointed directly to the source device’s
IR window.
Make sure the IR input and IR output are not mixed up.
Make sure that the remote control uses a 20-60KHz IR signal.
Check if the IR emitter head is secured over the center of the device IR
receiver window. If the signal is weak, please try adjusting the position.
Please make sure its distance is within 6 meters and without
obstructions.
2. The HDMI display doesn’t have image output?
Check the LED indicators’ status to make sure all connections are
connected properly.
Make sure the network cable is firmly connected between TX and RX.
Make sure the source device is powered on and the correct source input
is selected on your HDTV.
Ensure your video resolution and frame rate is recognized/ supported
and within the transmission range.
3. Why the output images have no sound?
Please Confirm the input audio format is supported.
Try to exchange shorter network cable to reconnect.
Confirm the sound channels and the interfaces are well connected.
Make sure that the TV’s volume is turned up and not on mute.
