1 INTRODUCTION
The BWS seres of weghng ndcator provdes an accurate, fast and versatle seres

of general purpose weghng scale wth check-weghng functons.
All the dsplays are large easy to read lqud crystal type dsplays (LCD). The LCD’s
are suppled wth a LED backlght.
All unts nclude automatc zero trackng, audble alarm for pre-set weghts, and an
accumulaton faclty that allows the ndvdual weghts to be stored and recalled as
an accumulated total.

3 INSTALLATION
3.1 GENERAL INSTALLATION
The scales should be sted n a locaton that wll not degrade the
accuracy.
Avod extremes of temperature. Do not place n drect sunlght or near ar
condtonng vents.
Avod unsutable tables. The tables or floor must be rgd and not vbrate. Do not
place near vbratng machnery.
Avod unstable power sources. Do not use near large users of electrcty such as
weldng equpment or large motors.
Avod hgh humdty that mght cause condensaton. Avod drect contact wth
water. Do not spray or mmerse the scales n water.
Keep the ndcator clean.

4 KEY DESCRIPTIONS
ON/ OFF or
Turn on or off the power.
Zero
Set the zero pont for all subsequent weghng. The dsplay shows zero.
A secondary functonof "Enter" key when settng parameters or other functons.
Tare
Tares the scale. Stores the current weght n memory as a tare value, subtracts
the tare value from the weght and shows the results.
A secondary functon ncrementng the actve dgt when settng a value for
parameters or other functons.
Press Zero and Tare key together n normal weghng mode wll turn on/off anmal
scale functon.(when enter/escape anmal scale mode, you wll hear beeper on twce)
MR
Memory recall key, show total accumulate weght n memory.
In settng mode, ths key used to move actve dgts rght.
M+
Accumulate key, store current weght n memory.
In settng mode, ths key used to move actve dgts left.
Press M+ and MR key for MC (memory clear)
Prnt
To prnt the results to a PC or prnter usng the optonal RS-232 nterface.
Press Prnt durng selfcheckng wll enter settng mode.
G/N
Gross weght/net weght shft key
Secondary functon (ESC) , s to return to normal operaton when the scale s n a
parameter settng mode.
Press G/N and Prnt key together for settng check Weghng lmt.

The LCD dsplay wll show a value and a unt to the rght of the dgts.
In addton there are labels for TARE, GROSS weght, Zero and for Low battery

6 OPERATION
6.1 Zerong The Dsplay
You can press the ZERO key at any tme to set the zero pont from whch all other
weghng and countng s measured, wthn +/-2% of power up zero. Ths wll usually
only be necessary when the platform s empty. When the zero pont s obtaned the
dsplay wll show the ndcator for zero.
The scale has an automatc rezerong functon to account for mnor drftng or
accumulaton of materal on the platform. However you may need to press the ZERO
key to rezero the scale f small amounts of weght are shown when the platform s
empty.
6.2 Tarng
Zero the scale by pressng the ZERO key f necessary. The zero ndcator wll be on.
Place a contaner on the platform, a value for ts weght wll be dsplayed.
Press the TARE key to tare the scale. The weght that was dsplayed s stored as the
tare value and that value s subtracted from the dsplay, leavng zero on the dsplay.
The "NET" ndcator wll be on. As product s added only the weght of the product wll
be shown. The scale could be tared a second tme f another type of product was to
be added to the frst one. Agan only the weght that s added after tarng wll be
dsplayed.
When the contaner s removed a negatve value wll be shown. If the scale was tared
just before removng the contaner ths value s the gross weght of the contaner plus
all product that was removed. The zero ndcator wll also be on because the platform
s back to the same condton t was when the ZERO key was last pressed.
6.3 Weghng a sample
To determne the weght of a sample frst tare the empty contaner then place the
sample n the contaner. the dsplay wll show the weght and the unts of weght
currently n use.

6.4 Check-Weghng
6.4.1 About check-weghng
Check-weghng s a procedure to cause an alarm to sound when the weght on the
scale meets or exceeds values stored n memory. The memory holds values for a
hgh lmt and a low lmt.
Check mode OK:
When check range, the dsplay wll show OK and the beeper wll sound when the
weght s between the lmts.
Check mode NG:
When check range, the dsplay wll show OK and the beeper wll sound when the
weght s out of the lmts.
6.4.2 Set lmts
Press G/N and PRINT key together, t wll dsplay “
set
h”, use TARE key to select
“SET H” or “SET L”, press ZERO key to enter, use M+ and MR key to move
actve dgt, use TARE key to change value, use Prnt key to clear value. After
you enter the value, press ZERO key to sure, press G/N key to escape.
6.4.3 Set check weghng mode
Press G/N and prnt key together, t wll dsplay “

h”, use TARE key to select
beep, press ZERO key to enter, press TARE key to select ok(check mode OK),
ng
(check mode NG), no(no beep), press ZERO key to sure, press G/N key to escape.
NOTE
Checkweghng functon only avalable when weght more than 20d (mn).
To dsable the Check-Weghng functon enter zero nto both lmts by pressng the
PRINT key when the current lmts are shown then pressng ZERO to store the zero
values.
6.5 Accumulated Total
The scale can be set to accumulate manually by pressng the M+ key. See the
PARAMETERS Secton for detals of selectng the method usng functon "P2
com
".
Please note before every accumulate operate, scale need return to zero, and only
press M+ key when stable, when weght less than 20d, accumulate operate wll be
nvald.

6.5.1 Accumulate operate
The weght dsplayed wll be stored n memory when the M+ key s pressed and the
weght s stable.
The dsplay wll show "ACC 1" and then the total n memory for 2 seconds before
returnng to normal. (after do accumulate operate, “M+” ndcator wll turn on) If the
optonal RS-232 nterface s nstalled the weght wll be output to a prnter or PC.
Remove the weght, allowng the scale to return to zero and put a second weght on.
Press the M+ key, the dsplay wll show "ACC 2" and then the new total.
Contnue untl all weghts have been added.
6.5.2 Memory recall
To vew the totals n memory press MR key.
6.5.3 Memory clear
To clear the memory, just press M+ and MR together
6.5.4 Automatcally accumulate
Press Prnt key durng selfcheckng, enter settng mode, press Tare key untl dsplay
show “
P2 COM
”,
press ZERO key to enter, press TARE key to select “mode”, press
ZERO key to sure, dsplay wll show current RS-232 mode, press TARE key to select
Auto
. After you set, AUTO ndcator on.
Press weght on platform, after stable, you wll hear beep on twce, you can add or
remote weght now, scale wll beep on agan after stable, at last, remove all weght
on platform, the last weght value wll store n memory
6.6 Anmal Scales
Let the anmal on the platform, after some second, f readng data change not a lot,
you can hear beep sound and readng data wll be locked.
In readng data lock mode, f you add/remove bg weght, dsplay wll stll update and
lock new readng data.
You can press ZERO TARE together to enter/escape anmal weghng mode.
