The complicated case of the Tread 1 has been
designed with a remarkable sealing system requiring
nine different custom molded o-rings. Each o-ring has
been deliberately placed to prevent water penetration
through the connection of the eight complex case
components and four mounting screws. This sealing
system will prevent humidity, rain, and light splashing
water from penetrating into the watch. The open
viewing lens does not allow for a sealing method that
can be guaranteed to a specific water depth. This
complete sealing system may save your investment
should your watch be accidentally submerged,
however Devonworks advises that you remove
your watch before showering, swimming, or
any other activity that may cause your watch to
become wet. In order to avoid damage to the watch,
please never operate the crown when it is wet.

BATTERY
LifE indiCatOr
The Battery Reserve Indicator is automatically displayed
when the watch is turned OFF.
The second belt will advance to a number between 0
and 10 to indicate the remaining battery life at the time
the Tread 1 is powered off. If 9 is indicated, the battery
has 90% power reserve. If the 5 is indicated, the bat-
tery has 50% power reserve, and so on.
If a low battery is detected by the Tread 1, the second
belt indication will automatically be disabled, but the
Tread 1 will continue to track the time on the Hour and
Minute indicator belts. This allows the Tread 1 to continue
operating with dramatically reduced power consumption.
This is an indication that the Tread 1 should be placed in
the charging station.
Once the Tread 1 detects an ample amount of
battery energy from charging, the Tread 1 will then
automatically re-enable the second belt indication.
If the Tread 1 is not placed onto the charger, the
battery will continue to drain. Once the battery level
goes below a usable level the internal circuitry will
disable all belt movement. The Tread 1 must be
placed in the charging station in a short period of
time to retain the set time. Once the battery level is
brought back to a usable level, the Tread 1 can be
turned on again.
A completely depleted battery needs a complete 8
hour charge before returning the watch to service.
