FCC Statement

FCC RF Exposure Information and Statement

The SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue.

Device types Digital2 D2 Mobile has also been tested against this SAR limit.

The highest SAR value reported under this standard during product

certification for use at when properly worn on the body is 0.365W/kg. This

device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the

handset kept 0cm from the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF

exposure requirements, use accessories that maintain a 1.5cm separation

distance between the user's body and the back of the handset. The use of

belt clips, holsters and similar accessories should not contain metallic

components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these

requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements, and

should be avoided.

as dangerous and toxic substances. We highly recommend all users contact

the relevant institutions based on the information we provide to recycle this

Safety

Prevent Hearing Impairment

Caution: Permanent hearing loss may occur if earphones or headphones are

used at high volume for prolonged periods of time.

This device has been tested to comply with the Sound Pressure Level

requirement laid down in the applicable EN 50332-1 and/or EN 50332-2

standards.

Precautions

This manual contains important information regarding safety measures and

proper use of the product. To avoid accident, please be sure to read the

manual carefully prior to use the product.

• You alone are responsible for how you use your phone and any

consequences of its use. As a general rule, always switch off your phone

wherever the use of a phone is prohibited.

• Aircraft Safety: Do not operate device where the use of electronic

equipment is prohibited, such as on airplanes.

• Road Safety: To avoid any accidents, please do not use the product when

driving or walking on the street.

• Hospitals: Always make sure that your phone is switched off in hospitals

when so instructed by warning signs or by medical staff.

• Electronic Medical Equipment: Your phone is a radio transmitter which

may interfere with electronic medical equipment or implants, such as

hearing aids, pacemakers, insulin pumps, etc. It is recommended that a

minimum separation of 15 cm be maintained between the phone and any

medical equipment.

• Do not leave your phone within the reach of small children (certain

removable parts may be accidentally ingested).

• Keep the product away from high temperature, moisture or dust.

• Do not expose the product to high temperature, especially in a

window-closed vehicle during summer.

• Avoid drop or strong collision of the product or heavy vibration of the TFT

screen, as it may cause damage or abnormal display of the TFT screen.

• Please choose appropriate volume. It is not recommended to use

earphones in high volume. If ringing occurs in the ear, please lower the

volume or stop using the device.

• Please charge under the following circumstances:

A. The system automatically shuts down, and immediately shuts

down again after restart.

B. The operating button does not respond.

Note: This product cannot be used with any unauthorized charger; otherwise it may burn

the product, which is not covered by warranty. For any additional original charger, please

contact customer service.

When battery level is low, be sure to connect the power plug before formatting the Digital2®

Smartphone or uploading/downloading applications to prevent system error.

• Digital2® shall not be held liable for any loss of data caused by damage or

repair of the product or any other reason. Please operate the product

properly following the user manual’s guidelines.

• Do not disassemble the product. Do not use alcohol, thinner or benzene to

clean the surface of the product.

• USB connection is for data transfer only.

1 Getting Started

1.1 Installing SIM card, Battery, and Storage Card

Always turn off the device before installing and replacing the SIM card and

battery.

To Remove the Back Cover

1. Make sure your device is turned off.

2. Firmly hold the device with both hands and the front panel facing down.

3. Push the back cover up with your thumbs until the cover disengages from

the device. Slide the cover up to remove.

To Install the SIM card

The SIM card contains your phone number, service details, and phonebook/

message memory. Your device supports both 2G and 3G (WCDMA) SIM

cards.

1. Remove the battery if it is installed.

2. Locate the SIM card slot, and then insert the SIM card with its gold

contacts facing down and its cut-off corner facing out of the card slot.

3. Slide the SIM card completely into the slot.

Note:

• The phone can support double SIM cards. SIM Card Slot1 and SIM Card Slot2can both

support 3G SIM cards (WCDMA), but only one card can connect to 3G networks at a time.

If you need to use 3G operation, please insert 3G card into SIM Card Slot 1 (Default SIM1

card, defined in the menu Settings/More…/Mobile networks/3G service).

• Some legacy SIM cards may not function with your device. You should consult with your

service provider for a replacement SIM card (possible fees may occur)

To Install the Battery

Your device comes with a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery and is designed

to use only manufacturer-specified original batteries and accessories.

Warning: To reduce risk of fire or burns:

• Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or service the battery pack.

• Do not crush, puncture, short circuit, or dispose in fire or water.

• Do not expose to temperatures above 60°C (140°F).

• Replace only with the battery pack designated for this product.

• Recycle or dispose of used battery as stipulated by local regulations.

1. Align the battery’s copper contacts with the battery connectors at the

bottom part of the battery compartment.

2. Insert the contact’s side of the battery first and then gently push the

battery into place.

3. Replace the back cover.

To Remove the Battery

1. Make sure your device is turned off.

2. Remove the back cover.

3. Lift the notch near the bottom of the battery to remove it.

To Install a Memory Card

You may purchase/install a memory card into your device to expand

additional storage for your images, videos, music, and files.

1. Make sure that your device is turned off then remove the back cover.

2. Locate the memory card slot on the upper part of the exposed right panel.

3. Insert the memory card into the slot with its gold contacts facing down

until it clicks into place.

Note: To remove the memory card, press the memory card to eject it from the slot.

1.2 Charging the Battery

New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you start using your

device, it is recommended that you install and charge the battery. Some

batteries perform best after several full charge/discharge cycles.

Note: Only the AC adapter and USB cable provided with your device can be used to charge

the device.

Connect the phone to the USB cable then connect the USB cable to the AC

adapter. Plug in the AC adapter to an electrical outlet to start charging the

battery.

During charging while the device is on, a charging icon appears in the title

bar of the home screen. When the battery is fully charged, the charging icon

will change into the full battery icon.

Warning:

• Do not remove the battery from the device while you are charging it using the AC or car

adapter.

• As a safety precaution, the battery stops charging before it overheats.

1.3 Starting Up the Device

Power on/off

• To power on, press & hold the POWER button.

• To power off your phone, press & hold the POWER button and a menu will

open. Select ‘Power off’ and ‘OK’ to turn off the phone.

Silent Mode

To silence your phone quickly, press & hold the VOLUME- button until the

volume reaches zero volume. You may also go to ‘App Menu’ and go to

Settings > Audio profiles. Select ‘Silent’ option to check the option’s box.

Sleep Mode

After a period of inactivity, your screen will go into sleep mode (display will

turn black). In sleep mode, your phone uses less battery power.

You may set the screen timeout period

1. On the Home screen, touch ‘App menu’ and select ‘Settings’ .

2. Select ‘Display’ option.

3. Select ‘Sleep’. Select a timeout period from the menu.

Prevent Sleep Mode While Charging

1. On the home screen, touch and select ‘Settings’.

2. Select ‘Developer options’.

3. Select ‘Stay awake’ option to check the option box.

Lock Screen & Put Phone to Sleep

Press Power button once to lock your smartphone from accidental touch

activation.

You can increase the security of your phone by setting a ‘Screen lock’.

1. On the home screen, touch and select ‘Settings’.

2. Select ‘Security’ and then scroll down to ‘Screen lock’ section.

3. Set or change your screen lock by selecting one of the following lock

styles: Slide, Face Unlock, Voice Unlock, Pattern, PIN, and Password.

4. Follow the prompts to define your pattern/password.

Note: If using Pattern lock, you must slide your finger along the screen to create the pattern,

not select individual dots. Connect at least four dots.

If you want your pattern to be hidden as you draw it, clear ‘Make pattern visible’ check box.

Home Screen

The Home screen is your starting point for using all the applications on your

phone. You can customize your Home screen to display applications,

shortcuts, and widgets as you like.

1. Touch the ‘App Menu’ to reveal a list of application icons.

2. The home screen actually extends beyond the screen width. On Home

screen, slide your fingertip left and right along the screen to reveal the full

width of the Home screen. This additional space gives you more room to

customize your home screen with applications, shortcuts, and widgets.

• Touch the ‘App Menu’ . On the application lists, continue to swipe left

to reveal shortcuts/widgets.

Note: Application shortcut: a Shortcut to some of your saved information (such as a playlist).

Widget: (a clock or picture frame) for your home screen.

To Create an Application Shortcut

Touch the ‘App Menu’ to reveal all the application icons, then touch & hold

an application icon. Its shortcut is added to the home screen; close the ‘App

Menu’ to see it.

To Remove an Application Shortcut or Widget from your Home Screen

Touch & hold the item to enter “move mode”. The ‘App Menu’ turns into a

trash icon. Drag the item to the trash icon and release to remove it from

home screen.

To Move Apps/Widgets on the Home screen

To move an icon or other item on the home screen, you must first touch &

hold an item to enter “move mode”. The object will magnify when it’s ready

to be moved. Without lifting your finger, drag the object to the new position.

To move an item to a section of the home screen not in view, move it to the

edge of the screen and hold it there for a moment. The screen will shift that

allows you to position the object in the new location.

1.4 Status Icons

Along the top of your phone screen is the status bar.

On the left side, icons will appear, notifying you of a new message,

upcoming calendar event, news, etc. On the right side of the status bar, you

will see the following connection status icons:

Read your notifications

• When you see a notification in the status bar, touch the bar and slide your

finger down the screen to open the list of notifications displayed in the

sliding window.

• Notifications report the arrival of new messages, calendar events, and

alarms. You can clear notifications list by selecting ‘Clear’ notifications at the

top of the notifications window.

• Simply touch the items (ex: message, reminder, alarms) shown in the

notification bar to open.

• To close the notifications window, slide your finger up the screen.

Notes: On the home screen, touch the bar and slide your finger down the screen to open the

list of notifications displayed in the sliding window, you can touch the icon on the top

of the screen to enter the quick function screen, such as Airplane mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,

Data connection, Airplane mode, Brightness, you can open or close the selected function

directly by simply clicking on the corresponding icon.
