Remarks: The positioning set (180º) is a single base station
configuration, including one base station, one base station power
supply and one accessory kit.
The positioning set (360º) is a dual base station configuration,
including two base stations, two base station power supplies and
two accessory kits.
The headset is the window bringing you into the virtual reality (VR)
environment. It includes sensors that are traceable by the Polaris
base station.
Hint: The headset includes several laser sensors inside. In order
they can receive well laser signals from the base stations, do not
cover the headset surface with any extra materials. In addition, keep
your hands or other items from blocking the location of the headset
sensors during usage.

Wearing the headset
For glasses-free users, just wear the headset and adjust it to a
comfortable position.
For users with glasses, please follow these instructions to wear the
headset:

Adjusting strap
The device comes with a headbelt which adapts to user’s head
circumference automatically through its elastic structure. If the head
circumference is too small and the headset may easily fall down due
to loose headbelt, please use the head buffer. If the head circumfer-
ence is big enough, the back foam cushioningis not necessary.
Headset repair and maintenance
Servicing the E3 headset
The following instructions are used for servicing your E3 headset.
• Keep the headset away from sharp items such as cable tip, in case
the headset lens be scratched.
• During use or storage, avoid direct irradiation from strong sunshine
or other light sources on the lens lest the product be damaged.
• When the headset is in storage, we recommend using protective
film on the lens to prevent accidental scratching.
Cleaning headset lens
• To wipe the lens, always use the lens cloth provided in the package.
• Dip the lens cloth in alcohol or special detergent.
• Wipe in circularity from the center to edge.
• While cleaning the lens, do not scratch the lens or remove other
parts of the headset.

and prize up the cable.
Warning: Products from different batches may need different cable
replacement methods. If the cable cover has screws, unscrew the
two screws first with a screwdriver before removing the cable cover.
Replacement for helmet cables
For headset with screws: To replace the 3-in-1 cableor audio cable ,
firstly unscrew the screws, prize up the cable cover by using a small
screwdriver, draw out the old cable and insert a new one. Finally
resume the cable cover and tighten the screws.
Replacing cable step 1
After use for a long time, the facial foam may be worn and needs to
be replaced when necessary.
1. Peel off the facial foam gently from the nose area.
2. Install the new facial foam as shown in the figures below and press
it gently onto the headset.

For headset without screws: To replace the 3-in-1 cable or audio
cable, prize up the cable cover by using a small screwdriver, draw out
the old cable and insert a new one. Finally resume the cable cover.
Headset indicators
Blue on: Headset is in normal work
Blue flash: Headset is in standby.
Green: Headset is in magnetic calibration process.
Connecting earphone and microphone to headset via the
audio cable
After the audio cable of the headset is connected to an earphone:
1. Select Playback Device from the right-click menu of the sound
icon from the bottom-right corner of computer desktop. The audio
setup window appears.
2. In the audio setup window, choose the desired audio output port,
such as DPVR E3. Click Set as Default.

Introduction
Hint: The Polaris base station sends signals to the headset and
controller. Keep the front panel from being blocked by anything.
When the Polaris base station is turned on, it may interfere with
some infrared sensors nearby, such as the sensor in TV remote
control.
Warning: The base station includes precision components which are
subject to damage in case of drop or impact. Use or store it carefully!
Hint: Do not open the cover of the Polaris base station, because that
may cause harm to you or your product.
Please stop using the Polaris base station if its front panel is broken.
