Place the switchgear on plain and horizontal concrete foundations or intermediate
frames with sufficient capacity to avoid the deformation of the switchgear cubicles.
Preliminary measures:
- Check the completeness of the necessary components and tools.

Assembly sequence:
1) Lead fixing screws M12x55 (6) according to
the instructions on the drawing HB71553-
001 through the holes provided in the base
box.
2) Lead the fixing screws M12x70 (7) through
the holes provided in the front area of the
base box.
3) Screw the spacing bushes (5) tight as
shown.
4) Replace two non-sealed inner hexagon
screws per phase by the cylinder head
screws (4), if these are not factory available.
Coat the coupling isolation part (1) with the
supplied fitting lubrication (2). Place the
coupling isolation parts into the internal cone
bushings of a cubicle.
Do not loosen sealed screws.
5) Tension the spring (3) for earthing of the
cubicle control into the slot of the coupling
isolation part between the earthing studs
(cylinder head screw (4)).

6) Place the switching cubicles that way side by side, that the coupling isolation parts and the internal
cone bushings towards each other. Coincident the screws in the base box have to be towards the
holes.
7) Lead the switching cubicles parallel together. Take care not to tilt the cubicles.
8) First secure the two switching cubicles in the
base box by easy screwing the bolts.
9) Place each in the front and rear the square assembly aids on to the sides above the switching
cubicles. Set the parallel clamps on to the square assembly aids.

10) Assemble the switchgear cubicles up to a residual gap of about 10 mm between the sides by evenly
tightening of the screws in the base case and the parallel clamps.
11) Place the screws M8x30 into the holes provided, and tighten these hand-tight (see drawing
HB71553-001 Pos. 5).
12) Loosen the clamps and put them aside.
13) Place the delivered distance sheet steels (8) between the sides whereby the grooves grab over the
screws (see drawing HB71553-001 Pos. 3 and 5).
14) Tighten the switching cubicles with the screws together until the cubicles are close to each other
without a gap.
The switching cubicles are connected in the right way, when the cubicle front is gap free.
Coupling of the Anti-Burst-System
Loosen the screws (1) with hex driver SW5 all the way to the
stop.
Push the slide (2) all the way to the stop on the right.
Tighten the screws (1) firmly.
Do not push the screws (1) sideways.
During works under electrical voltage the screw (1) in the blue circle shall not be
pushed to the left, because the ABS would release. Pushing backwards the slide
please secure or block the screw, so that a pushing is not possible.

Additional hints to extend an existing switchgear
The switchgear has to be isolated according to the safety rules!
Expand an end cubicle
Dismantle the voltage-proof tubing plugs on the
side to expand the existing switchgear.
Assemble the 6 cylinder head screws (4) into the
free upper threads and act further on as
described under point 4 and 5.
Remove 3 screws at each phase, reuse one of
them!
Assembly of the tubing plugs in the new end
cubicle
Remove the nine non-sealed screws (see point 4)
on that side of the cubicle, where the voltage-
proof tubing plugs have to be installed.
Three of the screws have to be screwed in the
remaining free threads of the switchgear to
expand.
Purify the tubing plugs and coat them with the
delivered fitting lubricant (2).
Assemble the voltage-proof tubing plugs.
Do not loosen sealed screws.
For coupling of the switching cubicles please proceed as described
under point 1 – 14!
