INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION

2. INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
2.1 Camera Installation
Four 20M cables are supplied within your sales package for camera connection. Depending on the actual installation
situation, you may drill a hole on the proper position for the 20M cable to pass through and hide, or arrange it to run along
the surface of the wall.
Tools & Items Needed
1. Power drill or screwdriver x 1
2. 20M cable x 4
3. Necessary screws:
four screws for dome camera
three screws & wall plugs for IR camera
2.1.1 Wiring
Step 1: Choose the proper surveillance location, such as the front door, inside the office, etc.
Step 2: Arrange the 20M cable routing from the DVR site to the place where the camera is installed, such as the ceiling.
Please make sure a certain length of the 20M cable is left for the connection to the camera.
Step 3: Connect to the supplied camera when the camera is mounted. Dome cameras should be ceiling-mounted, and IR
cameras should be ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted. For camera mounting details, please see the description
below: “2.1.2 Dome Camera” at page 4 and/or “2.1.3 IR Camera” at page 5.
2.1.2 Dome Camera
NOTE: Screws for installation are not supplied within the sales package. Please prepare by yourself and use
proper screws.
Step 1: Turn the dome cover counterclockwise to the end and take it off.

INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
5
Step 2: Mark the positions of four “screw holes” on the ceiling around the hole drilled in advance.
If the installation location doesn’t allow the installation personnel to screw a hole on the ceiling, they may cut the
concave edge on the base of the camera (as shown below) to pass through the power and video line.
Step 3: Mount the camera to the ceiling, and then fix the camera with proper screws.
Connect the video and power connectors to the corresponding connectors of the 20M cable. Then pull the both
cables one by one from the backside of the ceiling to hide them.
Step 4: Adjust the view angle of the lens. Then, put the dome cover back to the camera base and turn clockwise to lock.
2.1.3 IR Camera
Step 1: Attach the bracket to the camera by rotating it clockwise. Then, remove the base of bracket.
Step 2: Mark the positions of three screw holes on the wall around the power and video line hole drilled in advance.
Use the supplied three screws to attach the bracket base to the wall.
Step 3: Attach the camera to the bracket base by securing the joint lock.
There are two screw holes on the backside of the camera. Please choose the proper one which best suits your
installation environment. If the upper screw hole is chosen, it’s recommended to push the Sun Shield a little bit

toward the direction of the lens for easy installation.
Step 4: Connect the BNC jack and the power connector to the 20M cable through the power and video line hole drilled in
advance. Then hide the video cable to the other side of the ceiling.
Step 5: Adjust the camera angle and the Sun Shield position. After that, secure the joint lock to fix.
2.2 DVR HDD Installation (Take Model 2 as an example)
The HDDs must be installed before the DVR is turned on. For detailed installation instructions, please see the following
instructions.
Step 1: Loose the screws on the upper cover and open the upper cover of the DVR.
Step 2: Remove the HDD bracket.
Step 3: Get a compatible SATA HDD, and connect it to the power connector and data bus connector (make sure to align
the HDD precisely for pin connection).
