1. IMPORTANT NOTE
Congratulations! You are the owner of a carefully designed and manufactured product. We
would like to thank you for choosing our MPAGE1 paging station.
For the maximum effectiveness of the paging station, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you
read this User's Guide carefully and follow the recommendations contained herein.
In order to guarantee the optimum operation of this unit, we strongly recommend that its
maintenance be carried out by our Authorised Technical Services.
1.1. Precautions
The working environment should be dry and completely dust-free.
Do not expose the unit to rain or water splashes, and do not place liquid containers or
incandescent objects like candles on top of the unit.
Any change in the configuration of the unit must be carried out by a qualified technician.
Before any work is done on the unit it should be disconnected from the power source.
2. INTRODUCTION
MPAGE1 is a real time desktop (“paging”) station. Connecting the paging station to
equipment with a microphone input such as the pKUB, AMI2-70, MIMO54, MIMO88, SAM serial
mixers, etc., you can send message in real time.
The principal features of the MPAGE1 are:
x 1 voice message activation key (PAGE) (1)
x Goose-neck microphone (2)
x Euroblock type balanced audio connector (3)
x Euroblock type TRIGGER (4) connector for remote control of external equipment
(contact opens while PAGE is pressed)

3. INSTALLATION and CONNECTION
Installing a MPAGE1 unit consists of the following steps:
1. Installation of audio wiring: cable balancing between the MICRO (3) connection of the
MPAGE1 and the audio input of the receiving equipment (mixer, audio matrix, etc.):
Live or direct signal > Terminal +
Cold or inverted signal > Terminal -
Ground > Terminal

The audio cable also delivers the phantom power required for the MPAGE1 unit to
operate and which must be supplied remotely by the receiver.

2. Installation of TRIGGER (4) control wiring (optional): the status of the control signal of
the TRIGGER connector is closed by default (at rest, PAGE (1) key not pressed) and
open while the PAGE (1) key is pressed, i.e., while the message-sending process is
active. The control signal is used for the remote control of certain functions of external
equipment, such as to enable the MUTE function of an MIMO88 unit using one of its
GPI inputs, a PRIO input on an MIMO54, a MUTE input on a SAM serial mixer, etc.

Note:the TRIGGER control signal is not a power-free contact closure; rather, it operates
thanks to a circuit based on MOSFET devices. For more information, consult the technical
features of the equipment.
3. Adjust the microphone level of the receiver equipment
The console (2) microphone is a non-extractable electret cardioid type mounted on a
flexo. It is supplied with an "anti-pop" foam windshield.
4. OPERATION
Once the MPAGE1 unit is connected to the receiver, messages are sent by pressing the
PAGE (1) key and keeping it pressed while the voice message plays.
If the receiver has a “talkover” function that works by automatically detecting the signal
delivered by the microphone or by closing the external contact using the TRIGGER (4) connector, the
sound in the areas where the message is being received will be attenuated or muted
x while the message is being delivered if there is automatic level detection (PAGE (1) key
pressed + message playing)
or
x as long as the PAGE (1) key is pressed if activated by closing the contact

1. NOTA IMPORTANTE
¡Enhorabuena!. Vd. posee el resultado de un cuidadoso diseño y una esmerada
fabricación. Agradecemos su confianza por haber elegido nuestra estación de avisos MPAGE1.
Para conseguir la máxima operatividad y rendimiento del aparato, antes de su conexión,
es MUY IMPORTANTE leer detenidamente y tener muy presentes las consideraciones que se
especifican en este manual.
Para garantizar el óptimo funcionamiento de este aparato recomendamos que su
mantenimiento sea llevado a cabo por nuestros Servicios Técnicos autorizados.
1.1. Precauciones
El ambiente de trabajo deberá ser seco y estar totalmente libre de polvo.
No exponga el aparato a la caída de agua o salpicaduras, no ponga encima objetos
con líquido ni fuentes de llama desnuda, como velas.
Cualquier cambio en la configuración debe ser realizada por personal técnico
cualificado.
En caso de requerir alguna intervención, el aparato debe desconectarse previamente de la
alimentación.
2. INTRODUCCIÓN
MPAGE1 es una consola de avisos de voz en tiempo real (“paging”) de sobremesa. Su
conexión a equipos con entrada de micrófono, como el pKUB, AMI2-70, MIMO54, MIMO88,
mezcladores serie SAM, etc. permite la difusión de mensajes de voz en tiempo real.
Las características principales de la MPAGE1 son:
x 1 tecla de activación del mensaje de voz (PAGE) (1)
x Micrófono de cuello de cisne (2)
x Conector de audio balanceado tipo Euroblock (3)
x Conector TRIGGER (4) tipo Euroblock para control remoto de equipos externos
(apertura de contacto mientras PAGE se encuentra pulsada)

3. INSTALACIÓN y CONEXIONADO
La instalación de una unidad MPAGE1 consta de los siguientes pasos:
1. Instalación del cableado de audio: cable balanceado entre el conector MICRO (3) de
la MPAGE1 y la entrada de audio del equipo receptor (mezclador, matriz de audio,
etc.):
Vivo o señal directa > Terminal +
Frío o señal invertida > Terminal -
Masa > Terminal

El cable de audio entrega también la alimentación phantom que requiere la unidad
MPAGE1 para su funcionamiento, y que debe ser suministrada remotamente por
el equipo receptor.

2. Instalación del cableado de control TRIGGER (4) (opcional): el conector TRIGGER
presenta una señal de control que se halla en estado de circuito cerrado por defecto
(en reposo, tecla PAGE (1) no pulsada) y de circuito abierto mientras la tecla PAGE
(1) se mantiene pulsada, es decir, mientras el envío del mensaje se encuentra activo.
Dicha señal de control se emplea para controlar remotamente determinadas
funciones de equipos externos, como por ejemplo, para habilitar una función MUTE
en una unidad MIMO88 mediante una de sus entradas GPI, una entrada PRIO de un
MIMO54, una entrada MUTE de un mezclador serie SAM, etc.
