1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Health & Safety
Please ensure you read the Health & Safety notes in Section 9.
1.2 Use of this Manual
This manual guides you through the basic operation and maintenance of the Micra allowing you to
obtain a guaranteed supply of puried water to meet your requirements.
1.3 Environment
The Micra unit should be installed on a at, level surface, in a clean, dry environment. The unit can
also be wall mounted against a vertical wall capable of supporting the weight of the unit.

3. CONSUMABLES
*Service Life is an estimate only, and will depend on the use of the unit and feed water quality. Please
take care to ensure you order the correct consumable items.
4.INSTALLATION
1) UNPACK the unit.
2) PLACE Micra in the desired location.
The unit can be wall mounted, oor mounted,
or bench mounted.
4.1 Level Control
It is recommended that Micra is connected to a suitable reservoir and operated in an automatic mode
using the level control supplied.
1) PLUG in the level control.
POSITION the level control in the reservoir as pictured below.

4.2 Power Cable Install
1) UNSCREW the housing for the Depth Filter.
Always use only the power cable provided with the unit.
2) UNSCREW the nuts securing the protective plate.
3) SLIDE in the power cable.

4) REATTACH the plate back on its original position.
PLUG in the lead.
4.3 10 Micron Depth Filter and
Carbon Filter Installation.
1) UNPACK the 10 Micron Depth Filter.

2) PLACE the 10 Micron Depth Filter inside the housing and
SCREW it back in place.

3) UNSCREW the housing for the Carbon Filter.
4) UNPACK the Carbon Filter from its packaging. PLACE the
Carbon Filter inside the housing and SCREW it back in place.
4.4 DI Pack installation
1) REMOVE a new Purication Cartridge from its packaging.
REMOVE the sealing plugs from the inlet and outlet ports.
WET ‘O’ rings and SLIDE the cartridge into the position.
POSITION cartridge onto spigots at rear and PUSH into unit.

4.7 Reservoir connection
Connect puried water outlet to a suitable reservoir or direct to your nal application.
1) TURN system on – Press the Process button, indicated by arrow, to start. The system is ON when the
green light appears.
LEAVE the system working for about 1 hour to rinse the system. Once completed the system is ready
to use.
CONNECT the power
4.5 Water Connections
Follow instruction, below, when connecting Portable
water inlet, Puried water outlet and Drain outlet.
- UNSCREW compression nut.
- REMOVE transit tting.
- INSERT 1/4” tubing.
- HAND TIGHTEN compression nut.
- 1/2 TURN to extra tighten.
NOTE: At the Portable water inlet, ensure pressure
will not exceed 2 bar (30 psi).
4.6 Commissioning Rinse
Direct both Puried water outlet and Drain outlet to drain before commencing.

5. OPERATION
Micra provides CLSI Type II pure water for manual and semi-automatic clinical analyzers with daily
consumption up to 25L.
5.1 Automatic operation (Reservoir Controls).
ENSURE the unit is connected to a suitable reservoir and the level control is installed.
PRESS process button.
The unit will start lling the tank automatically, ensure that a reservoir of water is available.
5.2 Manual operation (No Reservoir Controls).
PRESS process button to start (green light will appear).
PRESS process button to stop (no light on the display).
6. SETTING WATER QUALITY ALARM
The water quality alarm is automatically set up to warn you when the water quality is below 10MΩ/cm.
It can be adjusted to 5MΩ/cm or 2MΩ/cm by following this procedure:
WARNING! PRIOR TO ANY MAINTENANCE, TURN OFF MICRA
AND DISCONNECT IT FROM ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY.
WARNING! IN CASE OF UNEXPECTED POWER SHORTAGE, THE UNIT WILL
RESUME WORKING AUTOMATICALLY, WITH 1 MIN FLUSH IN
THE BEGINNING.
1) UNSCREW the screws securing the top cover.
