a)ThisequipmentcomplieswithPart68oftheFCCrulesandthe
requirementsadoptedbytheACTA.Onthebottomofthisequipmentis
alabelthatcontains,amongotherinformation,aproductidentierinthe
formatUS:AAAEQ##TXXXX.Ifrequested,thisnumbermustbeprovidedto
thetelephonecompany.

c)Thisequipmentisdesignedtobeconnectedtothetelephonenetworkor
premiseswiringusingacompatiblemodularjackwhichisPart68compliant.

connectedtothetelephoneline.ExcessiveRENsonthetelephonelinemay

Tobecertainofthenumberofdevicesthatmaybeconnectedtoaline,as

e)IfthisSurgeProtectorcausesharmtothetelephonenetwork,the
telephonecompanywillnotifyyouinadvancethattemporarydiscontinuance
ofservicemayberequired.Butifadvancenoticeisn’tpractical,the
telephonecompanywillnotifythecustomerwillbenotiedassoonas
possible.YouwillbeadvisedofyourrighttoleacomplaintwiththeFCCif
youbelieveitisnecessary.
f)Yourtelephonecompanymaymakechangesinitsfacilities,equipment,
operations,orproceduresthatcouldaffecttheoperationofyourequipment.
Iftheydo,youwillbegivenadvancenoticesoastogiveyouanopportunity
tomaintainuninterruptedservice.
g)EnercellproductsaresoldexclusivelyatRadioShack.IfyourEnercellsurge
protectorisnotperformingasitshould,takeittoyourlocalRadioShackstore
forassistance.TolocateyournearestRadioShack store,usethestorelocator
featureonRadioShack’swebsite(www.radioshack.com),orcall1-800-The
Shack(843-7422)andfollowthemenuoptions.Ifyourequipmentiscausing
harmtothetelephonenetwork,thetelephonecompanymayrequestthatyou
disconnecttheequipmentuntiltheproblemisresolved.
h)Norepaircanbedonetothisequipment.
i)Connectiontopartylineserviceissubjecttostatetariffs.Contactthe
statepublicutilitycommission,publicservicecommissionorcorporation
commissionforinformation.
j)Ifyourhomehasspeciallywiredalarmequipmentconnectedtothe
telephoneline,ensuretheinstallationofthisSurgeProtectordoesnot
disableyouralarmequipment.Ifyouhavequestionsaboutwhatwilldisable
alarmequipment,consultyourtelephonecompanyoraqualiedinstaller.
