Install EVGA CLCx
Backplate Installation
Install the mounting backplate part on the back of the motherboard if you are using an Intel LGA 17XX,
12XX or 115X socket motherboard. Slide the standos to line up with the cooler mounting holes on your
motherboard.
*Please skip this step for AMD motherboards as you will use the existing motherboard’s backplate.

Standos
Next, screw the stando into the backplate. Fasten the standos to the backplate you installed in the
previous step for LGA 12XX / 115X motherboards part and LGA 17XX motherboards part .
For AMD platforms, remove the stock AMD mounting bracket, keep the original backplate. After aligning the
collars, screw in the stando to the collars and stock AMD Backplate .
*The collars have marked “AM5” and “AM4” on each side, facing up the correct side of collars according
your AMD platform.

Retention Ring
Make sure the correct retention ring is installed on the pump / cooler. Both Intel and AMD retention rings are
included with your CLCx, with the Intel ring preinstalled.
To change the retention ring, push down on ring and turn counter-clockwise to remove the ring from the pump.

Pump Installation
Thermal paste is pre-applied to the contact surface of the pump. Install the pump by aligning the mounting
holes on the retention ring with the standos and lower the pump evenly over the CPU. Secure the
retention ring using screw nuts part .

Fans and Radiator Installation
Install fans and radiator according to your system setup and airflow design. Use screws to attach the fan
to the radiator, use screws to attach the radiator to the case, and hex key to fasten the screws.
EVGA recommends that the pump should always be below the highest point of the radiator.

Push the latch to remove the LCD Cap
*Warning – Removing the LCD Cap while your system
is running may cause irrepairable CLCx damage.
Install LCD Cap
Align the hooked tab and 3 raised circles below LCD cap to the 3 indents on top of the pump, then gently
press down the LCD cap into the latch to secure it.
Install the USB cable to enable PWM-tuning via CLCx software. Connect the cable from the LCD Panel to the
USB 2.0 front panel header on your motherboard.

EVGA CLCx CPU Closed Loop Water Cooling Kit is an AIO (All-In-One) cooling system. With AIO Water
Cooling Systems, you do not need to add any coolant, and the system is completely self-contained. All
EVGA CLCx CPU Closed Loop Water Cooling Kits are leak tested at the factory, and are ready to install when
received.

Your EVGA CLCx CPU Closed Loop Water Cooling Kit comes with a 5 (five) Year Limited Warranty. Refer to
your motherboard’s warranty information before installing the EVGA CLCx CPU Closed Loop Water Cooling
Kit. Should you damage your motherboard during the installation process, EVGA will not be held liable for
the physical damage of your EVGA CLCx CPU Closed Loop Water Cooling Kit, case, motherboard or any
associated hardware when damage is caused by improper installation.

Connect cable part to the CLCx, then connect the SATA power cable to the SATA power cable from
your power supply.
Connect the MB Fan PWM to the 4pin CPU_FAN or AIO_PUMP header on your motherboard.
Connect cable part to the Fan PWM on cable part then connect the fans to each of the
connectors on cable part .
Connect each of the ARGB from the fans to each other and then connect the end to the Fan ARGB on
cable part .

The LCD display orientation can be rotated via “EVGA CLCx” software.
