Operating manual
Please read the operating manual carefully and follow the instructions. Keep
the operating instructions for the entire service life of the product. Use these
operating instructions to familiarize yourself with the device, its correct use
and the safety instructions.
Intended Use
When operating driven tools on turning and milling centers, changing
operating parameters arise. EWS.CyberCon4 is intended for data acquisition
in the machining process of the driven tool. EWS.CyberCon4 is to be
understood as an extension and may only be used in this combination and
for no other purpose. EWS.CyberCon4 is delivered assembled and can only
be read out in connection with the CyberCon4 app.

1. SAFETY
2. FUNCTION
DANGER! The device generates an electromagnetic field during
operation. The field may interact with medical implants.
Recommendation: Consult your doctor before operating the
device to avoid the risk of serious or fatal injury.
WARNING!
Risk of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced.
The battery may only be changed by EWS service staff.
Contact details under 10. Service/guarantee.
Children and adolescents under 16 years of age as well as persons
who are not familiar with these operating instructions may not use the
device. Persons with limited physical or mental abilities may only use
the device if they are supervised or instructed by a competent person.
Never use the device if you are tired, sick or under the influence of
alcohol, drugs or medication.
With EWS.CyberCon4, driven tools (1) for turning and milling centers are
expanded with sensors. The extension is used to monitor the operating
parameters (see 4.2 Operation / operating parameters & functions)that
arise during the use of the driven tool. This enables integration into Industry
4.0 processes and the control of maintenance measures. The sensor system
is located under the cover (2) and sends the recorded data to the receiver
(3) via Bluetooth. The values can be read out with the CyberCon4 app.

3. INSTALLATION
DANGER!
Risk of injury with rotating parts!
Always keep the machine door closed.
When delivered, EWS.CyberCon4 is in stand-by mode.
The operating time is 12 months from the time of commissioning,
with normal use (2x app query per day).
Assembly on the machine:
■Mount the driven tool properly
■Operating instructions at
https://www.ews-tools.de/en/downloads
Activate:
■Drive the driven tool with at least 500 / min for 5 seconds
■EWS.CyberCon4 is now activated and can be read in the
CyberCon4 app
■The data can now be read out without rotation!

4. OPERATION
A receiver with an active Bluetooth interface is required to operate EWS.
CyberCon4 (tablet, smartphone). EWS.CyberCon4 is operated via the
CyberCon4 app.
The app can be installed via the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
4.1 REQUIREMENTS

For best compatibility, an update to the latest version of the operating
system is recommended.

be used with the CyberCon4 app as standard.

You can find the app under
the name „CyberCon4“
(SYMBOL) in the Apple App
Store or Google Play Store.
Install the app.
Activate the data connections for the Internet and Bluetooth on the
receiver (tablet, smartphone).
