GETTING STARTED


SET UP YOUR NEW
FRONTPOINT SYSTEM
BEFORE YOU PLUG IN YOUR FRONTPOINT HUB,
grab your mobile device.
NEW CUSTOMER?
If you’re setting up equipment for the first time,
visit frontpoint.com/setup and follow the steps
in our easy setup wizard.
EXISTING CUSTOMER?
Log in to either the Frontpoint mobile app or
customer portal using your mobile device. Click on
Equipment Setup in the left-hand navigation and
then System Control to initiate your panel swap.

To access sound or LED brightness settings for the Hub, go through the following
steps in the Frontpoint app:

HUB SYSTEM FEATURES
Simply press AWAY.
A RED LIGHT means your system is in Arm
Away mode. While arming for Away, the key
icon and the Hub and Keypad’s LEDs will
flash Red. After the system is armed, the Hub
will display a solid red light; the Keypad will
flash red.
Simply press STAY.
An ORANGE LIGHT means your system is
in Arm Stay mode (the mode to use when at
home). While arming for Stay, the Hub and
Keypad’s LEDs will flash orange, then turn solid
orange. After your system is armed, the Hub
will display a solid orange light; the Keypad will
flash orange.
Enter your 4-digit code, then press DISARM.
A GREEN LIGHT means your system is
Disarmed. While disarming, the Hub and
Keypad’s LEDs will turn o before turning solid
green. After your system is disarmed, both the
Hub and Keypad will display a solid green light.
• When in Arm Away mode, the Hub will flash
between red and blue.
• When in Arm Stay mode, the Hub will flash
between orange and blue.
• When Disarmed, the Hub will flash between
green and blue.
When arming or disarming your system, you will
see an LED on the Keypad flash blue.

DISARMED
A BLUE LIGHT means there is an issue with
your system.

will display a solid red light; the Keypad will
flash red.
DISARMED
Keypad’s LEDs will flash orange, then turn solid
orange. After your system is armed, the Hub
will display a solid orange light; the Keypad will
flash orange.
SYSTEM NEEDS ATTENTION

When arming or disarming your system, you will
see an LED on the Keypad flash blue.
The Frontpoint Hub is the brains of your system and uses LED lights to indicate its current status.

INFO: All your sensors, Hub, and Keypad
have a tamper button inside. If a sensor is
opened or tampered with, that sensor will
report a tamper.
INFO: Your sensor is unable to communicate
with your Hub, most frequently seen when
the battery has been depleted.
INFO: One of your sensors is reporting a low
battery and the batteries should be replaced.
INFO: Your Hub has a low backup battery and
should be plugged in.
INFO: Your Hub is having trouble communicating
via cellular.

Cellular Communication Trouble
Check to make sure the sensor hasn’t fallen
and that the casing is secure.
Elevate your Hub to a higher level in the
home, move near a window, and/or make
sure there are no large metal appliances
within 4 to 5 feet of the Hub.
For information on why your Hub is flashing blue, press and hold the button
located on the back between the ethernet port and the power adapter for 1
second and the Hub will announce the trouble.

If the Frontpoint Hub has a blue light,
you may be experiencing one of the
following issues:

Trouble LED (Blue)
The LED will flash blue when the Hub has
trouble arming or disarming.
Low Battery LED (Yellow)
The LED will flash every 5 seconds when
the battery is low under Arm Stay mode.
Fire Alarm
Press both 4and 6keys together to
trigger a fire alarm.
Medical Alarm
Press both 7and 9keys together to
trigger a medical alarm.

Use the Frontpoint Keypad to arm and disarm your system, or report an emergency.

Panic Alarm
Press both #and *keys together
to trigger a panic alarm for police.
Frontpoint Logo LED
(Green/Red/Amber)
Green: activation of Disarmed mode.
Red: the system is in Arm Away mode.
Orange: the system is in Arm Stay mode.
Disarm Key
Stay Key
This key is used for entering
Arm Stay mode.
Press the Stay Key to enter Arm Stay mode.
Press and hold the Stay Key for 3 seconds,
release the button and the system will enter
Arm Stay without Entry Delay mode.
Doing so will eliminate the 30 second delay
to disarm the system and will automatically
trigger an alarm.
Away Key
This key is used for entering
Arm Away mode.
Press the Away Key to enter Arm
Away mode.
Tamper Switch
The Tamper Switch protects the
Remote Keypad from unauthorized
cover opening.
