About the NMEA 2000
Network Updater
Notice:
The NMEA 2000 Network Updater
is not water resistant. Use the device
only to update the network, do not
install it permanently on the boat.
The NMEA 2000 Network
Updater will only update devices
on the network that are not
equipped with a card reader.
The NMEA 2000 Network
Updater will only update
Garmin®devices.
Preparing a Memory Card
Tools required (not included):
Secure Digital (SD) memory
card, 512 MB or larger
PC with an SD card reader
and an Internet connection

1. Go to www.garmin.com
/support/software/marine
.html.
2. Download the latest Garmin
Marine Network update package.
3. Insert the memory card into the
card reader on your computer.
4. Follow the directions provided
on the Web site to transfer the
update les to the memory card.
5. Remove the memory card from
the card reader.
Connecting the NMEA 2000
Network Updater to Your
NMEA 2000 Network
Use the included NMEA 2000
T-connector to connect the
NMEA 2000 Network Updater
to your NMEA 2000 network
according to the sample diagram
on page 2.

Update the Devices on Your
NMEA 2000 Network
Notice:
Do not remove the memory card or
turn off the NMEA 2000 network
while the update is in progress.
Interrupting the update could damage
connected devices.
1. Turn on the NMEA 2000
network.
2. Insert the prepared SD card
into the NMEA 2000 Network
Updater.
3. Observe the colored LED on the
NMEA 2000 Network Updater:
Blinking LED
Color
Description
Red Error, no card inserted,
or no update on card
Orange Update in progress
Green Completed successfully
Complete the Update Process
1. Turn off the NMEA 2000
network.
2. Disconnect the NMEA 2000
Network Updater and T-
connector from the NMEA 2000
network.
3. Turn on and test the NMEA 2000
network.

Network.
3. Insérez la carte mémoire dans le

chiers de mise à jour sur la carte
mémoire.
5. Retirez la carte mémoire du lecteur
de carte.

Mise à jour des appareils de
votre réseau NMEA 2000
RemaRque :
Ne retirez pas la carte mémoire et ne
désactivez pas le réseau NMEA 2000
pendant la mise à jour. L'interruption

1. Activez le réseau NMEA 2000.
2. Insérez la carte SD préparée dans
le NMEA 2000 Network Updater.
