TREESTAND PRACTICE AND USAGE.

Safety Information
When hunting from a treestand, falls can occur
any time after leaving the ground causing injury
or death.
DO NOT use any Gorilla product until you
have read and followed all safety warnings and
instructions. Contact Gorilla customer service
department at 1-877-685-7817 for any questions.
Failure to do so could result in injury or death.
This product is designed as a complete hunting
system. The Full Body Harness is provided and
intended to be used at all times from the moment
you leave the ground until you return to the ground.
The product is never intended to be used without
the Full Body Harness. You MUST wear and use
a Full Body Harness designed for both climbing
and stationary use at all times after leaving the
ground. The Full Body Harness is an integral part
of this system. DO NOT use the product without
using a Full Body Harness that meets or exceeds
TMA (Treestand Manufacturer’s Association)
standards and is certied by an independent testing
laboratory. Failure to use a Full Body Harness that
meets or exceeds TMA standards and is certied
by an independent testing laboratory is a MISUSE
of this system and is never intended by the
manufacturer.
Before each use, inspect your treestand and
all safety devices for damage, rot, undue wear,
deformity, corrosion, rust, cracks, freezing,
excessive heat, cut or frayed webbing, and other
damage to cables, strap or hardware, etc.
DO NOT use product if wear, damage, deterioration,
vandalism is detected or suspected.
DO NOT use product if cable or dual claw tree strap
expiration date has passed.
DO NOT store a treestand outdoors when not in use.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE WEARING YOUR SAFETY
HARNESS AND YOUR HARNESSS IS CONNECTED
TO THE TREE AT ALL TIMES AFTER LEAVING THE
GROUND UNTIL YOU RETURN TO THE GROUND.
Single safety belts and chest harnesses are no
longer allowed and are NOT to be used.
If you are not wearing a Full Body Harness properly
attached to the tree that is protecting you from a
fall, DO NOT leave the ground.
DO NOT jump, bounce, hop or rock back and forth
on the treestand. DO NOT lean out or against the
treestand. Always try to stay centered on
the platform.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in
serious injury or death.
• Before each use, make sure all nuts, bolts, pins and straps are secure.
• Use a treestand ONLY for its intended purpose of allowing a hunter to
climb and hunt from an elevated position. DO NOT use a treestand for
any other purpose.
• Never exceed the maximum weight limit of the treestand.
Model 47027 and Model 47030, maximum weight limit is 300 lbs.
• DO NOT install or use product without adult supervision if you are under
the age of 18.
• Always inform someone about the hunting location, where the treestand
will be located, and the expected duration of the hunt.
• Always have a second adult present or at least accessible by cell phone
or other means when using a treestand. The ability to get help quickly
may save your life in the event of a fall.
• Always take and use a signal device (cell phone, radio, whistle, signal
are or personal locating device (PLD)) when using this product. Always
keep the signal device on you and readily available at all times.
• A good non-slip boot is important for your safety. Be especially careful
that bootlaces do not get hooked on the treestand or climbing aids
(tuck shoelaces into boot before climbing).
• Never use a treestand during inclement weather such as rain, lightning,
windstorms or icy conditions. End your hunt and return to the ground if
inclement conditions arise.
• Never use a treestand while taking drugs (even prescription drugs)
or alcohol.
• Never use this product when feeling ill, nauseous, dizzy or if you have a

Unpack and Check
Take contents out of the package and make sure that you have
everything in the part list. If you are missing a part, stop and contact
Gorilla, Inc. at 877-685-7817. DO NOT climb up/down or hunt from a
treestand until you have all the parts.

joints that lock-up, spinal fusions, etc. or if you are not well rested or if you
are not athletically t.
• Instructions (written and video) should be kept in a safe place and reviewed
at least annually. It is the responsibility of the treestand owner to furnish
complete instructions to any person who borrows or purchases this
product.
• Never leave a climbing treestand in a tree. Tree growth can also stress and
damage a treestand. Always inspect an unattended treestand before using
it. Factors such as tree growth, vandals, weather and animals may affect
the performance of an unattended treestand.
• Never modify your treestand in any way by making repairs, replacing parts,
altering, adding or attaching anything to it except if explicitly authorized in
writing by Gorilla, Inc. Failure to follow these instructions will void warranty
and may result in serious injury or death.
• Never use this treestand in a hunting environment before you have
familiarized yourself with this treestand, all its features, safety devices and
have practiced using it at ground level rst.

Installation
Silence the Product
This step is best conducted before you go into the woods to hunt.
During production paint may get between the expanded grating and the
platform frame. This can be a source of noise.
To eliminate initial settling or creaking sounds, place the platform on a
rm oor and stand/walk on it.
Select a Tree
Select a healthy straight tree that is larger than 8-inches in diameter and
smaller than 22-inches in diameter.
Improper tree selection can lead to falls.
Never use this product on a dead, leaning,
diseased, or loose barked tree, or on a utility
pole or any other man made structure.
Never rely on a tree branch for support.
Follow these instructions to select a
proper tree.
Failure to follow these instructions can lead to
serious injury or death.
Always inspect tree from all sides before installing
this product.
DO NOT use this product on trees larger than
22-inches or smaller than 8-inches in diameter. Any
attempt to use a tree outside these dimensions may
result in a fall.
DO NOT use this product on trees that contain
nails, screws and other sharp objects that may cut
the webbing or cables on Gorilla products.
• Never use this product on leaning or irregular shaped trees that do not
allow for a level treestand platform.
• DO NOT select a tree with vines or limbs below your desired
climbing height.

• Never attach a treestand to limbs. Always attach a treestand to the main
trunk of the tree.
• Never use a treestand on trees with icy, wet, slippery, loose or
scaly bark.
• Never hunt out of a treestand at heights at which you are not completely
comfortable. Depending upon the tree and hunting conditions,choose
the minimum height that allows for safe and effective hunting.
Remember, the higher the height, the greater the risk.
Attach Platform Section to Tree
Prepare Platform Section
At the base of the tree, remove the bungee cord that holds the platform
section and seat section together (FIGURE 1). Unfold the pivoting arms
on the seat section of the climbing treestand (FIGURE 2).
Separate the platform section from the seat section so the platform
section is below the seat section (FIGURE 3) and the tether is directly
in line (not wrapped around either section) between the two sections
(FIGURE 4).
