A. Fire Bell Reducer: Focusingplatetoshapeandintensifyﬂame

C. Spark Electrode: Theelectrodethatiniatesthespark.

2. Bole Stand

 WhenthepropaneboleisaachedtotheSu‐VGun,theBoleStand

makesaconvenientplacetosetyourSu‐VGunuprightbeforeandaer

usingit,especiallywhentheFireBellishotandneedstobekeptoﬀand

awayfromcombusblesurfacesoranysurfacethatwilleasilymarwith

thehotsteeloftheFireBelldirectlyaeruse.



 AccessoryhosethatconnectstheSu‐VGundirectlytoa20‐lbor30‐lb

propanefueltank

Safety & Warnings

Read and understand all instrucons and warnings before

aempng to operate this torch.

Proper Usage of Equipment

 OnlyusethistorchwithPropaneorMAPPgasesfromvaporwithdrawal

cylinders.Propanecylindersandconnectedpropanebolesmustbe

keptinanuprightposionwhenthetorchisinuse.

 Beforeuse,connectpropanefuelsourcetothetorchwithboththeGas

Valve(E)andtheHandleTrigger(BypassValve)(G)closed.Listenfor

gasleaksandsmellforthepresenceofpropaneleakingfromthetorch.

Donotlightthetorchifyoudetectaleak.Haveitservicedbyanau‐

thorizedservicecenterbeforefurtheruse.

 When aaching a 1‐lb bole to the Gas Connector, ghten the bole

only enough to come to a so stop against the rubber seal in the Gas

Connector. Over ghtening can damage the Su‐VGun.

 LightthetorchonlywiththeinternalignionsystemusingtheFinger

Trigger(F)designedintothetorch.

 WhenyouareﬁnishedusingaSu‐VGunconnectedtoabulkpropane

tankthroughtheadapterhose,youwillneedtodrainoﬀalltheremain‐

ingpropanegasunderpressureinthehosebeforedisconnecngthe

torch.First,shutoﬀthepropanetankvalve,andthenlightthetorch

andburnoﬀalltheremaininggasleinthehoseunltheﬂamegoes

out.Thendisconnectthehosefromthetorch,replacethevinylprotec‐

vecapontotheGasConnectorandallowthetorchtocoolbefore

pungitaway.

 WhenyouareﬁnishedusingaSu‐VGunconnectedtoa1‐lbfuelbole,

removethefuelboletopreventinadvertentoraccidentaldischargeof

propanefromthetorch.PutthevinylprotecvecapbackontotheGas

Connectorandallowthetorchtocoolbeforepungitaway.

 Donotabuse,tamperwith,oraltertheoperaonofthistorchorits

parts.Anyrepairsmustbemadebyaqualiﬁedrepairtechnicianwho

hastheproperserviceparts,tools,andknowledge.

 Whenoperangthetorch,youshouldalwayshaveproperNFPAap‐

provedﬁreexnguisher(orotherﬁreﬁghngequipment)availableto

exnguishanyunintendedﬁre.Itshouldbeofatypeandsizeappropri‐

atefortheapplicaon,andyoushouldbetrainedinitsuse.Staynearby

towatchandcontroltheburningmaterial.

 Maintainsecurefoongwhenholdingalightedtorchtoavoidtripping

orfalling.

 Alwaysdirecttheﬂamefromthetorchawayfromyourbodyandaway

fromotherpersonswhenthetorchislit.Neverpointthetorchatyour‐

selforotherpersonswhilelighngoroperang.

 Neverleavealittorchunaended.TurntheGasValveoﬀtoexnguish

theﬂamebeforelayingthetorchdown.Ifthetorchhasa1‐lbpropane

boleinstalledontotheGasConnector,setituprightintheBoleStand

withtheFuelBarrelandFireBellorientedtowardsthefrontofthestand

suchthatitwillnotpover,ratherthanlayingitonitsside.Donotlaya

hottorchdownonornearﬂammablematerial.

 NeverblocktheﬂowofgasorﬁrecomingfromthefrontoftheFireBell.

Doingthismaycausetheﬂamedirecontoreverseandexitfromthe

backsideoftheFireBelltowardtheoperatorinsteadofoutthefrontof

theFireBellwhereitisintendedtogo.



WARNINGS: General operaonal

 Whenlighngthetorch,ﬂamesWILLcomeoutofthebacksideofthe

FireBell(B)asitignites.KeephandsclearoftheFireBellbothinfront

andinback,whenlighng.

 Flamesfromthistorchcancauseseriousburninjuriestoyourskin,hair

andbody.

 Usingthistorchonornearﬂammablematerialorclosedcontainersmay

causeaﬁreorexplosionwhichmaycauseinjuryordeath.

 Failuretocontrolyourﬁrewhileusingthistorchmaycauseinjuryor

propertydamage.

 Keepoutofreachofchildrenandirresponsibleadults.

 Thistorchisdesignedforindoorandoutdooruse.Useextremecauon

ifusingindoorsasitsﬂameisintenseandlonganditiseasytoacci‐

dentallycatchanunintendedobjectonﬁre.

 Thistorchisdesignedtocombustvapor‐fueloutputfromanapproved

propanecylinder.Donotallowliquid‐fueltoentertheSu‐VGun.(See

 Donotusethetorchonornearﬂammablematerialorsealedcontainers

whichmaycauseaﬁreorexplosionresulngininjuryordeath.

 Sealedcontainers,evenifempty,mayexplode.Donotusetorchnear

combusblesyoudonotintendtoburn.

 Donotusethetorchinwindyorverydrycondionsinwhichthetorch

ﬂameortheamountofmaterialburningmaybediﬃculttocontrol.

 TheFireBellwillremainveryhotforameaershutdown.DONOT

touchorstoretheequipmentunlithascooled.

 AlwaysoperatetheSu‐VGuninanopenandwell‐venlatedareasothat

anypropanethatescapesfromtheSu‐VGunorpropanebolecanbe

exhaustedtotheoutsideair.

 ItisnormalwhenconnecngordisconnecngtheSu‐VGuntopropane

tohaveasmallamountofpropaneescapeintotheatmosphere.Aslong

asyouareinanopenandwell‐venlatedarea,thisisnocausefor

alarm;however,ifyouhearescapinggasortheodorofpropaneisper‐

sistent,youmuststopusingtheSu‐VGun.Ifyouareindoors,thenIm‐

mediatelyputoutallsmokingmaterialsandotheropenﬂames,and

removeittoasafeareaoutsideunlyoucanmorethoroughlyinspectit

anddetermineandeliminatethesourceoftheleak.

 Somepeoplemayhavediﬃcultysmellingpropaneduetotheirage,

medicalcondion,orduetotheeﬀectsofmedicaon,alcohol,tobacco,

ordrugs.Considerpurchasingapropanegasdetectorasanaddional

measureofsecurity.

 Odorfadeisanunintenonalreduconintheconcentraonoftheodor

ofpropane,makingitmorediﬃculttosmell.Althoughrare,thiscanbe

causedbythepresenceofair,water,orrustinthecylinder.Newand

recondionedsmallcylindersthatsittoolongbeforebeingﬁlledare

pronetointernalrustwhenmoistureandairgetinside.Donotuse

them.



WARNINGS: WhenusingtheSu‐VGunfornon‐grillingpurposes

 Burningorheangsomematerialscanproducedangerousfumeswhich

maycauseinjurytoyourlungsorotherpartsofyourbody.
