Activate the handbrake for the tractor.
Connect the hydraulic hoses for boom folding functions to the tractor
during the mounting work. Release the oil pressure to start with.
Keep children and bystanders at a distance.
Lifting The Boom Wing Into Position
The following instructions and pictures show the right side boom wing to be mounted.
Lift up the boom wing from the delivery position using a suitable lifting
strap (A) connected to a crane or forklift truck.
Pay attention to the balance when lifting.
The boom wing weighs approximately 150 kg.
Instructions
5
Move the boom wing near to the boom centre on the sprayer.
Move the boom wing carefully to avoid damaging other parts on the
sprayer during the mounting work.

Bearing Pins
On the boom centre, remove the black bearing pins and lock nuts at the
mounting points at the top and bottom, 4 sets in all.
Check that the bearing pins are greased, or apply extra grease now.
Instructions
7
Pivot Joints
Align the mounting holes at the bottom of the boom centre and boom
wing.
Insert the black bearing pin - use a rubber mallet if needed.
Knock the bearing pin fully through.
Mount the lock nut on the opposite side.
At the top, mount this red bracket inside the red square pipe.
Instructions
8
Fasten with bolt and nut in the bottom hole.
Note that the boom wing has been raised beyond this mounting point,
allowing the red bracket to be mounted as shown.
Prepare the mounting hole for the black steel bar connected to the
boom centre.
Raise or lower the boom wing to align the mounting holes.
Instructions
9
These parts are used to mount the black rod.
Tighten the locknut at the end of the steel bar.
Four thread turns must be visible when finished - this is close to the final
setting for the boom wing.
Instructions
10
Connect the other end of the steel bar as shown.
Lift the boom wing to a horizontal position, and place a support under
the boom wing.
Remove the lifting strap, and move over to mount the opposite boom
wing.
This will create a good balance in the boom for the coming mounting
work.
Opposite Boom Wing
Repeat the steps for mounting the opposite boom wing in the pivot joints.
When completed, lift the boom wing to a horizontal position, and place a support under the boom wing.
Now return to the first boom wing to complete the work here.
Hydraulic Hoses
Remove the dust caps from the hydraulic cylinder on the boom wing
and on the hydraulic block in the boom centre.
Check that the O-rings are mounted in the oil ports in the cylinders after
removing the dust caps. If not, you will have leaks during operation!
